Hi gang.

Look, I already feel about 2 inches tall here, and I haven't been able to sleep over this. So I'm just gonna put it out there.

I can't make it to Castle 16. It's simply a money issue. Shatnerball was almost a $900 roadtrip between me and the wife, and that tapped me pretty much dry. That's living in a hotel for 5 days, eating out constantly, gas money, and all that. And I'm tapped. I tried ot sell stuff on E-Bay, and I didn't even come close to makign enough for a hotel room for a night.

I feel awful right now, but I really do not see $700 or so falling into my lap in the next 48 hours, which is what I'd need to have happen in order for this roadtrip to happen.

As a result, I need to get an address so I can send the CCI banner to someone who will be going to Castle. I promised Mike I'd get his banner on the ramparts somewhere. I'd also like someone to e-mail me (link below) who might be intrested in writing up the story about CC 16 for PGI. If you're intrested, mail me.

I already feel awful having to cancel out, but I can't do it. To everyone, I appologise, I wanted to get to Castle and spank the semi guys with you all, but the bottom fell out and there's nothing I can really do about it. I'm sorry about that.

Believe it, there's enough folks who want you there that it wouldn't be hard. The paintball community helps it's own.

That is indeed dreadful news, many people talk about these events, but there are few (like our freinds on this board) who truly can appreciate the enormity of this event. Tyger is one of those.. so i am sorry to hear you cant make it . But, we all know you will be there in spirit, so fret not my friend. well gog a few for ya!

No, no, don't do that. Seriously, don't. I've already canceled out everyting. There's also the issue of it's not just "me", it's the wife, and stepson who was going with. As much as it's appreciated, I can't take it.

That and I was planning on wearing the ears and tail from Shatnerball (NOT the mask, but the ears and tail portion of the costume...) So, umm, yeah. But, no, I've already made teh arrangements t not be arranged. On the bright side, someone gets into the castle from the waiting list.

and bum a ride down & back.

Ok, let me put it this way.

If it were just ME, I can flop on a floor with the best of 'em. I'm a paintball player, and more than a little nuts. Not like I've never done it before.

Problem is that it's ME, th WIFE, and my stepson. So feedign 3 people, hotels, gas, and the obligatory beer bribe to the Devil Dogs :rolleyes: I can't afford it. 3 people triples my bill. :(

But thank you all, I just can't do it. Now Charley said if he hits the lottery, He's gonna get a stretch Hummer to drive us there. But, I don't htink it'll happen.
