I THINK NOT! I was surfing around on PB nation and it seems the Speedball freaks actually think they are going to take the castle! They claim they are better then stock players and that they are going to wipe the floor with everyone inside!!! :vangry:

I know the game is this weekend but if someone is willing to pay for overnite shipping I will donate one of the HUGE MEGA 15 min smokers (go to my web site at www.geocities.com/alexstainless/ , there is a pic there) to anyone or any team who wants to use it at Castle Conquest! All I ask in return is you kick there arse and take alot of pictures of the smoker going off and Email em to me. I just need confirmation you are actually going to CQ. It weighs about 12 pounds, so it may be a bit expensive, but worth the advantage! A 2nd picture will be up on my site in 5 minutes showing it packed and ready to go and a size compairson with a dollar bill and a regular smoker, and I will send the best of the 4 I have.

I would go myself, but due to car problems, and since I forgot to sign up and the castle is now full and I won't attack stock player in this particular game, so I am not going. But I will not sit back and not help at all, so anyone who can confirm they are going and wants to put 15 minutes of smoke (about 500,000 cubic feet) too good use, PM or email me quickly at astainless@earthlink.net . Just to make sure there are no speedballers surfing and thinking they are going to grab it and use it, I want confirmation of your reserved slot as a castle defender (if possible a picture of your gun too).

Again, even if I can get him to drive, the offer still stands. If I can make it up I will bring around 20 to 30 Smokers and an extra MEGA smoker, and anyone who is playing pump can have them (standard ones) for $15 a pop, but anyone from stockclass paintball can have them for $10. If an attacker wants one, being fair and a business man, They can have one each for $20 to $25.

You will probably have to ok those smokers with Blue (field owner) before you use them on the field.

hotels are optional, just bring a bed roll, and maybe a tarp.... i should have a few small camping tents for loan as well..if anyone needs..ive got a bunch of them, just not sure how many, theyve been in storage for quite a while..

Also, theres going to be allot of pump games on sunday as well, some are already planned, including some pure stock games. Anyone can actually "host" a game , just have to sign it up in the office.. theyll all be posted.

The Castle is the main event, but theres going to be no shortage of field time for everyone, beyond the main event.. :D


As for the speed ball freaks "kicking butt" , well apparently they think all pump players run around the woods in ghuliie suits, boy are they going to be surprised.. :D

I was thinking about this smoke. I think it would be best used IF the walls are ever breeched. Set off smoke in the door that the semi's are breeching and pick them off as they come through the cloud.

Well, astainless. You hit right on what i was considering. one guy at each corner of the castle in a ghillie to pick off guys from behind when they start through the doors. Just better be very careful to not be spotted cause if you do there aint no one to help you.

There are showers for $3 at the campgrounds ten minute away.
Hotels are few and far between, and usually full up for big games.
There are enough bunks in the bunkhouses to hold 600+ and there are many tents.
Who said anything about sleeping?

well my friends and i all honed our skills playing pump/stockclass on a speedball field. its just when you see all those woods you have to say to yourself "self, we could run willynilly up the middle, or we can walk around the outside and surprise the poop out of the nasty semi players." :lol:

:pow: Thats exactly what me and my friend where debating today. A small group of 2 or 3 splts off on a side of the castle that's not being rushed, sneek out with ghillies, and slowly place themselfs in the woods outside. Shootem in the back. A few well placed single shots and a ghillie during a fire fight (espically with all the semi players clacking off 1000's of rounds) wouldn't be noticed and they would most likly never be able to figure out where it's coming from.

Of course, now you have to consider that any attackers that have enough sense to sneak around on these boards are now going to be very vigilant in looking for such a trick.

I agree with Murf. I have been in many situations where i was using my phantom and everyone else was using a electro. And it would come down to me against like 5 or six or them. I would normally take about half or more out but i have had a case of paint shot at me in only a few minutes. Because they were so paranoid. They didnt know i was the only one. So they just sprayed paint. Most times they kept shooting fter i was hit thinking there was more. Believe me u will get bonus balled if u are the only one. One guy will see u and not realize ur out and he will shoot, and so, so forth. But i know the marshals have something relly sneaky up their sleeves so well just have to wait and see exactly what it is.

dam, and i lent my parachute out and havent gotten it back yet.. <oops> was i supposed to say that?? :lol: :lol:

im quite sure that our fearless leaders have already forgotten more sneaky tactic than most of us could ever even think of..its gonna be fun!!

Yes, the Marshals have a few tricks up their sleeve. We plan to make this game as advantageous to the defenders as rules will allow.

Two things:
Don't think you're going out in a ghillie or whatever without clearing it with your squad leader. If you run out half-cocked, you'll never get back in and possibly end up shot by your own team.

And there will be "Player-Refs" in the game. In order to ensure safety and fair play, select players will be given the authority to go as far as to pull a player for mask violations, overshooting, wiping or playing on through hits.

To anyone else I repeat: We have plans made that will require teamwork. Be ready to pull together and follow the directions given just before the game.
We're trying to make it as easy as possible, and to do that will require your co-operation, particularly before the game when certain things for defenders will be made clear.
So don't wait to get up to the castle before the game! We'll have things that every defender will have to do and understand, before the whistle blows.

I'm getting excited! (and at my age-that's something!)

I'll bring the smoke. I have a few ideas how to work it to out advantage outside, but I'll explain it to anyone who comes with me during the game. :D

Cheating??? THATS UNHEARD OF! It would be fun to toss cheaters into a pond though.

Don't think that only defenders are subject to pond-tossing.

ANYONE caught cheating runs the risk of being surrounded by ten to twelve large men who will pick you up bodily and carry you kicking and screaming down the road and summarily deposit you in the swimmin' hole.

We'll be scoring points for longest air-time, and biggest splash.

I say that we also must give a good dunking to those folks that got us into this mess in the first place. How good is Jim at swimming?

sorry to say it but your boat orange smoke is not allowed in the castle walls. the stuff makes people choke. and Blue don't want anyone with breathing problems to get hurt. if you have white smoke or a cleaner burning smoke than that is fine. Pacman of MXS uses the same stuff. So I know for a fact you won't be able to use it. since Pacman doesn't in the castle.

Well this is the cleanest burning stuff I have ever seen. The only cause for chocking is if there is way to much smoke. In any case my plain is for outside the walls. ;)
