Maverick - August 14, 2003 11:08 AM (GMT)
I was going through my gear the other day and testing and tunning just for this purpose.. looks like ill be bringing:
- My Illusion with all the options
- My Cammo spartan, just rebuilt.
- my Tussing PGP
- My Nelspot with newly installed battle grips
- My Splatmaster
- And my first gun ever, the ole Line SI Skirmish, For Blues Museum , if he can pry it out of my hands :o :( :D
Bridger - August 14, 2003 02:50 PM (GMT)
While I've got 12 still (haven't gotten around to selling a couple), I'll still be using my first pump class gun, a Sniper II. I might have a holster in time for my PGP as well.
Both of those guns are the ones I'm most comfortable with, the better to shoot the semi toting hordes :)
My dad and girlfriend will also be running sniper IIs, we're just that kind of family :)
Blitzkrieg - August 15, 2003 01:40 AM (GMT)
VSC Phantom, PGP, Possibly my paint mortar :ph43r:
comovartia - August 15, 2003 03:14 AM (GMT)
I plan on playing with my customized line si bushmaster with a 50 rd hopper and 4oz tank. I was going to play stock with my phantom but figured I may need to shoot a little faster then normal for this game.
:pow: :pow: :pow: :pow: :pow: :pow: :pow: :pow: :pow: :pow: :pow:
PS I need to stop staring at the calander all day at work before they fire me
Castle just can't get here fast enough
amhildreth - August 16, 2003 03:02 PM (GMT)
man, It looks like we'll be giving the EMR museum a run for its money. Here's my tenative arsenal list:
- AM Illusion Pro w/tank and 15rd horizontal feed
- PMI1-DF w/12gram and 40rd "ammo box"
- NSG Splatmaster
- '95 PGP
- NSG Rapide
- '94 EXC-68 (just to burn off any extra paint on Sunday afternoon before leaving)
Blitzkrieg - August 16, 2003 09:05 PM (GMT)
Woot! I have just modified my ACI Maverick, now it is PA! I am deffinately going to bring this with me in case we need some heavy fire from inside the castle. If I use the auto trigger I can just work the three way almost like a semi :)
Meph - August 17, 2003 01:33 PM (GMT)
Hopefully my Illusion will be ready by then, I love that gun.
But if not, I have a couple backups to rely on. Like Sniper II or Grey Ghost.
Joeha - August 18, 2003 12:57 AM (GMT)
definatly - Palmerized PGP
maybe - traccer
Crazy_Chiken - August 18, 2003 03:48 PM (GMT)
Getting back into Paintball with an AM Illusion :) and should be toating it there
Maverick - August 18, 2003 09:23 PM (GMT)
hehehehe, im almost locked and loaded... ill not only be shooting those pesky semi toters with paint, but ill be shooting pics on occasion as well.. i just ordered a new set of electronic binoculars with and integrated digital camera and 8x zoooom..if it works as well as they claim (even half as well) it should make for some pretty cool shots..
monkeyman - August 20, 2003 01:15 AM (GMT)
well ill be bringing my phantom w/ 4oz vert air (or i may run it on a remote w/ a 20 oz tank) my kp3, and my king cobra so i can gog equals p with it when he thinks its out of co2 (long story)
Target - August 20, 2003 03:40 AM (GMT)
I have a pump kit that will be put on one of my Cockers. and I am doing up a Piranha LB for the game.

Dan
10-shot kid - August 20, 2003 08:39 AM (GMT)
my kp2 if I can get a sawd off stock for it.
Hans - August 21, 2003 05:03 AM (GMT)
I'll be bringin the standard Silver VSC, 3.5oz 10rd. But going to ditch the reg for the day, that way I can swap over to 12grams real fast once the 3.5 runs dry (no time to refill!!)
The Illusion will be on standby "Just in case", and will be my primary for the sunday games.
-Hans
CrashSTP - August 21, 2003 03:02 PM (GMT)

Others maybe added to this list as room in vehicle permits.
comovartia - August 28, 2003 02:47 AM (GMT)
Add my newly aquired splatmaster for a backup to the bushmaster. After a need last weekend for a back up during a fire fight I decided to get a splatmaster (ah the memories, sweet memories :D )
(comovartia looks at calander and drools as he realieses castle is 1 month away)
(comovartia looks at his computer screen and realises he can't spell to save his life :( )(he can how ever shoot the bejibies out of those semi players :D :D :D )

*looks at the smoke grenades and chuckles
are you allowed to launch non-paintball stuff from your paintball guns? ie smoke grenades? Man, if you could get one of those to land in the middle of an enemy force...
Maverick - August 28, 2003 09:00 PM (GMT)
launching anything "solid" might leave a dent in someones head..But a remote control detonator to touch off the smoker would be cool.. :D
Maybe we can mount one to a remote control car and drive it over to the opfor :D
Quickling - August 29, 2003 05:27 PM (GMT)
grrrrr..... its a friggin month away :( Why cant I be leaving tonight for it :(
Well I was trying to buy a Carter but it looks like college needed the money too much, so I will be shooting my good ol PGP.
it will have:
Modified valve (Tussing)
Velocity adjuster
Speedloader
Big Matt Pump
and a 13/3000 PSI tank
unfortunately the gun will be extrememly modified AFTER castle :(
oh well.
But I am practising snap shootin and stuff with 50 rnds a day. (also working in the new ball bearings).
Bored383 - August 30, 2003 09:29 PM (GMT)
which guns? hmmmm . . . I'll probably bring far too many
Line SI Bushmaster on HPA
MAC-2 KP2 on CO2
Nightmare (stock class backup)
PMI Pursuit Pistol (stock class backup)
Nelson 007 (the bastard creation) (stock class backup)
various and sundry PGP's, Splatmasters, Nelsons, etc)
and yeah - I bet the whole of the pump group will give the museum a real run on content
:D
gonna bring fishing line also - for the military smoke grenades I have
Wycke - August 31, 2003 03:46 AM (GMT)
I'll be slingin' paint with:
Pseudo-micro Phantom VSC
(see it at:
Gear Page #1)
Sniper II
SL-68II
(see them at:

I'll also be bringing along a ProLine Warrior, a beat-up, ex-rental Trracer, and a GZ1000 as a backup that I hope I don't need

im sure we'd all be more than happy to paint you.. its hard to hide when the rope of paint your throwing leads right back to the shooter.... :pow: :vangry: :D B)

yeah, hahaha, with my big clear Revy sitting high on my gun too. It's almost an invitation for a stock player to hit it. I should paint a bullseye on it :D
but seriously... with the sheer number of attackers and the volume of paint they will be dumping, sure they're going to be using a lot more money to do so but- ...you guys will have more skill and experience, but you can be assured that with so many people there there's going to be alot of Angel and Intimidator toting players who have almost equal experience. What I'm getting at is... uh, good luck! And may the force be with you...
Hans - August 31, 2003 05:23 PM (GMT)
Lets face it, this is going to be one hellacious fight no matter how it goes. They will be throwing a lot of paint, and we will be playing like total berserk fanatics!
However the one factor that most people have not touched on is really the one I think the thing that will work most in our favor. ALL of the walk-on rental newbies are going to be attackers! Thats right, with all the pre-registered defenders being dedicated and experienced players it means that everybody that says "hey, lets try this paintball thing" and all the yahoo's, newbies, TWiB's and such are being forced onto ONE team! The rental tippmans with no pods, the BE Avengers yadda yadda yadda.
What does this mean? Most likely only a quarter of the attackers maximum will be taking us seriously at first, and any command + control will fall apart from the opening whistle. A good third are what I would call "Conscripts", and the rest just have no idea what they are getting into

Wycke - August 31, 2003 07:03 PM (GMT)
BTW, any chance that anyone attending could bring along a hopper adapter for an SL-68II? I've been looking for one and can't seem to find any, nor have I had time to get to the HomeDepot to look for a suitable "ghetto" solution. I'll glady pay or swap some 10-round tubes or some other bits for one. Thanks!
-Wycke
Maverick - August 31, 2003 07:27 PM (GMT)
Wycke:Ill look in my parts bin and see if i can find you one, i think i have one left over from some slIIs i had some time ago..
Hans has a great point, CnC is important, and i think the Defenders are already much more organized. Weve got some of the most experienced players in the sport (period) on our side that have forgotten more tactics and ways to win than most people will ever learn..
Our CnC structure should be much more effective and well be able to respond faster to problems ..where the other side will have to try and organize chaos...
I still feel confident that well be pushing them back , not just out of the Castle, but back into the woods as well.... B)

So basically you're saying the defenders are going to be attacking and the attackers are going to be defending :D

I've got one covered in black tape on the SL68ii that's going to American Paintball for stock-classification, you can have it for free. I'll take it off and lay it aside in my gearbag. (Hehe you'll probably likely end up with a whole bunch)
Maverick - September 1, 2003 10:22 AM (GMT)
what i found wasnt an sl 68 adaptor, im not quite sure what it is, but a paintball wont fit through the bottom half, unless maybe its 40 cal or something, so im glad rath had one...
The Best Defense, is a good Offense! And im sure at some point, were going to offend people, err offense them? um.. you know what i mean... :D
Bored383 - September 1, 2003 02:53 PM (GMT)
determined defenders always have the advantage, even when facing vastly superior numbers
the key will be willpower - the defenders will have that. how many of us pumpers have kept playing with no paint/air? How many regular semi players have you seen quit when they couldnt shoot? B)
heh, I can always be a one handed Splatmaster toting runner to help the CnC
swampthing - September 2, 2003 02:10 AM (GMT)
You forgot the third "C". "Command, Control & Communication" C3 is what it is all about. Yes I am a Mechwarrior {Battletech for those that don't know} on the computer and the tabletop. Anyhow, I have not heard a word of the plans as of yet and would like to have some kind of idea of what is expected of me and the guys before we get there. Otherwise we will have to go with my battle plan. Get behind them and each of us shoot 4 people every 20 minutes. I am all for the "K.I.S.S." theory of planning. Please someone correct this oversight.
