Just reading the EMR site and I saw we're aloud to have mortars as long as they bend at a 45 degree angel or something. I was wondering if we, as all pump players, are aloud to have these. I was also wondering how much they'd object to a black powder powered cannon :) can you say smoke?

most likely they would not let you use the cannon on the field as far as the mortars you will also notice that a ref has to be present in order to fire one and as you stated already it can't be aim'ed at anyone but instead must be aimed at a 45 degree angle up

A black powder cannon would be fun, probably scare the bejesus out of everyone.

I plan on bringing my mortar, it's favorite ammo is actually water ballons but I'm sure it'll do just fine with paint...

What would happen if it hit somebodys mask?

Weve tested the water ballons I use and I make sure that they are small enough to not knock someones mask off or hurt anyone. Dont worry :D

Nah, I tried that, they do pop easier but the extra weight is really hard on the head and neck, besides they pop pretty easy, Ive had quite a few barrel breaks.

Sorry to bug ya so much but I always think this kind of stuff is cool, is it operated by gas?

Its really simple, all you have to do is pump it up with a bicycle pump and turn the valve when you want to fire. I plan on making a new cannon that is not quite a simple, it will probobly run off co2 and have a pps stabalizer along with a solenoid and a 6 shot revolver style loading system, pump action of course :)

How loud is the cannon? Could use it for a "Starting Gun" to kick of the festivities. Would also leave little doubt about if the game started or not.
