Title: Post Quality of the Board

Marlin - December 9, 2004 05:10 AM (GMT)
Interceptor remarked something very true somewhere in B/S/T, I don't have the energy to go find it.

He said basically that the post quality of the board has taken a dive recently, and I cannot help but see that as the case.

Myself, even, where has old Marlin gone? Ah, where have many of us gone?

A lot of people have themselves all tied up in fictional anger over everything that has transposed the general order and quality of this board. In this fictional rage of which many of us are the perpetrators, we indeed further the loss of board quality, decency, and yes, I have to say it, respect.

If we are to truly represent stock class we cannot be hard on each other. Oh, now I remember the thread... it was the fellow with the long barrel on a Tigershark.

You know, it may look silly, and it does. It may even be dysfunctional. But for me, Rexx, and others to comment on it in a rude way... does not do the fellow justice. Perhaps he's looking to sell it so that he might be able to buy a nice pump gun, such as the ones that our lucky selves tote around the fields?

I'm not angry at everyone, I'm angry at nobody. I'm a bit ticked at my own behavior as of late on here, just having hit the wall with realization splattering like a string of paintballs from an Angel Speed.

But I advise all of you who might have lost your tempers, usual selves, and personalities with the odd occurences(and oddly close...) of mike and this vomit-fish, both wreaking psychological havoc upon the board that we post on, to recoup yourselves and regain that decency which I now realize we have largely lost as a whole. And if I can do anything about it, damnit, I'll fix myself in regards to this.

Thank you.

Marlin.

well said! the mods and myself have struggled with recent events, but decisions on how to handle it have been difficult.. We are all firm believers that our members have a right to express themselves, but there is a fine line between expression and intolarance (for lack of a better word.) but we believe that in the end, we will be stronger as a whole because of our commitment to freedom. I just hope everyone has gotten what irks them off their chest by now and we can get back to normal business soon...

I think that the newest thread in OT, which is quite a controversial subject has proven that SCP has withered the test and is back to its mature, intelligent discourse and I for one am looking forward to some bashless debate.

interceptor said that after I asked why some of our memberrs were putting down another pumper.

it was in the long sniper rifle posting by sphere.

I had noticed that same thing as well as fryloc(my older bro).

You can see in my posts about VF that I was trying to keep civil.

I dunno.

Every forum i've been too that has grown rapidly, the same thing happened.

The forum just needs time to adjust to these new members.

All will be well again.

what i have found is: walk away for a month (or in my case two or three.)

step back, relax.

then come back. see what happened, see who's new, see who left, etc.

and if you still find posts that annoy you........ suck it up sunshine.
