Hey,
Well, after avoiding the problem for a while, I think its time to get the problem fixed. I have an older style PGP I got used a year or so ago. The marker is probably 8 years old. I cleaned her up as much as I could, but I dont have a valve tool, so I couldn't clean EVERYTHING. I'm running C/A as well, with a Mad Customs V/A. With the V/A screwed all the way in, I'm getting about 200fps. Now, since I am running C/A, I thought about getting a valve tool, taking the valve out and enlarging some of the holes, and maybe replace the valve spring with something lighter.

Is there a simpler way, or what should I do/not do? Thanks for your time!

You need to knock a ring or two off that valve spring...Better grab a tool..

First, have you tried a new hammer spring yet?

If that doesn't help, before I cut the spring I would try and change the cup seal/pierce pin assembly. Maybe your pierce pin isn't piercing the 12 gram enough. I hear it happens when they wear down.

Most importantly I would head on over to www.pgpog.org and ask for some help there.

Last resort (although probably the easiest method) send it to Matt at Mad Customs or Lee at Punisher Customs. You can contact them both at the PGPOG.

Well, I have a brand new spring from BigMatt in there, and the 12grams are being pierced just fine.

I'd post on the PGPOG, but everytime i try to register, I never get an e-mail to confirm it. It's not a big deal, so I figured I'd just post here.

Plus, I'd never send it to an Airsmith unless I had to, and all I need here is a Valve Tool. I can do a little valve work while I'm at it anyway.

Are there any replacement valve springs that would work with the PGP? I own a Nelson Spring kit, maybe the valve springs will work with it?

Thanks for the help fellas.

Try using something like a small alen key to feel down into the air passage from the valve to the barrel. Maybe something isn't lined up correctly.

Have you had this problem for as long as you have owned the PGP? Maybe the previous owner reassembled it improperly.

Getting a valve tool might be the necessary thing.

OK running CA on an old style valve PGP requires you to weaken the Valve spring to get any kind of speed out of the ball...don't make me say this again...:)

Also make sure the pierce pin will fit into your CA adaptor where it seals on the 12 gram seal I have seen some that when you fire the pin will bump the adaptor thus sealing off the flow and you get some crappy shots..

Make sure to do the two above things and you will get it up and running.

Crap! I completely missed that he was running CA!
