I have a couple of real mil-spec smoke grenades
one is a colored signal smoke - single smoke outlet at the bottom
the other is a heavy white area smoke grenade - 4 outlet at the top . . . it will make an insane volume of heavy smoke.
of course both are pull the pin, let spoon fly pyrotechnics
I am willing to offer them up for the defense if they are allowed.

Allowed?
You better have a lot of them things to beat what the refs will be throwing around.
Honestly, you won't see the doorways for the first few minutes...
Trip wires will NOT be allowed. (but there are some other booby-traps being discussed)
Mines will be, and mirrors for looking around corners.
If anything, bring rolls of shrink-wrap. There is a reason for this that will become clear when we get there.

ohh dont worry about that... If I am able to get some time off work I will be able to bring some of our Gun f/x mines.. we have them in remote detonation... daisy chain.. and the good old fasioned pressure switch....
Pyrate Jim - July 14, 2003 10:30 PM (GMT)
Can your pressure switch be modified with a lever that can be hit with a paintball and trip the mine?
lexiones - July 15, 2003 04:19 AM (GMT)
lol uf your gonna shoot the land mine why not just shoot them
Bored383 - July 15, 2003 01:06 PM (GMT)
hehehe, how about setting them out innocently looking with a shiny red sign on the trip plate that says "DO NOT PUSH"
Jasper - July 15, 2003 02:14 PM (GMT)
LOL..or push button for prize.... well our mines we normally fill them with powder do they dont have too much of a mess but they can be filled with paint or up to 16 paintballs.. if you want to take a look at em there is some video of them on our website..
http://www.gunfx.com/pages/simulator.html . ohh which reminds me.. I could probably swing to bring a launcher...never know when your going to run into a tank.. :D

The trick is to mount the mines in the corners inside the castle.
That way, one well-placed shot can eliminate several players who are still around the corner out of reach.
Jasper- I like the pressure mines. I think a cylinder clamp and trip lever would work well for our specific requirement.
I'll pass the link on to our General...
Also...Mirrors for bicycles are cheap and on their rods they can be extended through windows to spot opponents. Many mount to bike handles and can actually be clamped to the barrel.
Or not - if it gets hit, it counts as part of the marker.

Are we going to be able to take to the field prior to the game starting to set up perimeter defenses? What type of grenades do they have at EMR or can we bring our own?

as I remember but I'm not entirely sure
we can head up about a half hour befre to get chronoed/ set up
they ahve gernades at the rec center and you can use any you already have

I talked to Blue and he said that you cant bring your own grenades, field paint (grenades too) only.
