Title: Pond Tossers
Description: Would we really need them?

So to avoid being tossed in the pond with 10-Shot Kid, I figured I'd start this thread to talk about it.

I made several assumptions when Mav mentioned Pond Tossers:

1) If someone was tossed in the pond it would be for a very serious offense, not a small field offense handled by the refs.

2) People would not be tossed in the pond out of hand without a trial and clear proof.

3) He was joking. :P

(after all he did mention flogging and firing squads.....at least I hope he was joking  ....Mav?)

Now that it's been brought up in it's own thread *cough*...

I personally think Mav's kidding. While it might be tempting to do, it would require several players to leave the field for about 15min to accomplish. We need our players in the castle.

On the other hand, as I mentioned in the Code thread, I stick by the statement that I do not cheat nor tolerate those who do. Our defense of Castle Aaargh will be accomplished honorably or we might as well lose. I will call out teammates I see shot, and I will find a ref if they don't walk. Same goes for any other type of cheat I see. I expect no less from any other player within the castle walls.

me sings...
"10shot's in the waterrr, 10shot's in the waterrr"

O.K. -so I sing badly.
Actually, 10shot and I go back a few years in the scenario thing...To accuse him of intentionally cheating would be an injustice.<reference the blind-fire incident>
I'll bring pics of the time He and I (with others) hog-tied Col. Ernie in the parking lot of Survival New York. We gained 300 points for capturing the opposing General.

But if someone needs to go in the water...I'll be right there. :ph43r:

hmmm, was i kidding?? In a word, No... But that doesnt mean i was being absolutely serious either.. call it someplace in between.

I wouldnt hesitate to remove myself from the game if necessary to go for a new pond toss record, the eyes of the paintball world will be watching this game. Id much rather have a report that reads "and as one pumper was caught wiping his OWN teammates picked him up and tossed him/her into the pond" then something that reads like were all bunch of slimeballs who were "caught'... the importance of policing ourselves is a major one though..
But i have no doubt, that the pump defenders will be seen as the largest group of honorable players ever! if were not, i ll toss myself into the pond....

yeh ok this I'll go along with it answeres some of my questions in the other post the biggest one being how to determine what happend before someone gets thrown in the pond. As much as I want to win this game I will not cheat to do so.
Maverick I think your right though about the honerable player part. I reconize some of the names on this board and they are alot of things but cheaters are not one of them.
Burphel I'm going to single you out for a minute here you can throw me in the pond if you like. I spent a good part of the twin towers game with burphel as my missions directed me to do so. burphel think frodo and you should remember me. He is both sneakey and daibloical coming closer to getting me then I care to admint a few times but he is not a cheater every thing he tried was legal.

my point here is that I think we will be ok if we police ourselves. I dont expect any problems with cheating but I wont tolerate it either.
