Old School Challenge

When: September 5-6 2008

Where: Xtreme Paintball Park, Millstadt, IL.

Schedule:

Saturday - 3-Man Event (40 rnds per person that can be split up)

Saturday Night - The Player/Staff Party will be at the field following the events of the day. There will be plenty of food, drinks, music, and fun.

Sunday - 5-Man Event (60 rnds per person that can be split up)

Entry Fee: 3-Man = $150 (includes Co2/HPA but NOT 12grams)
..................5-Man = $300 (includes Co2/HPA but NOT 12grams)

Paint: Bring Your Own or Buy Ours (call for our paint pricing 1-314-452-8990)

A/T & Motorized Hoppers ALLOWED!!!

Paintball has taken a step towards the future with electronic chips and battery operated doo-dads. But there is an alternative still left. Pumpgun play is growing in popularity. Paintballs roots is on its way back. Welcome to the Old School......

For those of you who have not heard of the OSC, it is without a doubt the best run pumpgun tournament series in the country. We are proud to host our second OSC event, and are looking forward to some more clean, pumpgun play.

A Top Gun Event is not yet scheduled but I assure you that if there is one, I will be ready to defend my title from 07'. :bang:

As w/ last year, I have no real family for this event. If anyone is willing to adopt a worn out, old, fat man who has been playing this game for too long, I'm game. 3- or 5-man, I'll at the very least divide the cost by one more.

You are too kind. You know I'll be there in whatever form (player, spectator, ref??) needed. Mini-Me (my son) had too much fun last year to not bring him out. 6-years old, and he made it into his first paintball mag. I'd say it was a good start.

EDIT: Shives I should be there with my actual team this year, Natural Selection. Otherwise I'd be tempted to do an in-prompt-to thing again :lol:

I am also looking to join a team/build one. We have something in the works, but its not definate yet. 3 or 5 man or both is cool with me, both preferably.

Shives, w/ you and me we would only need one more for a 3man, i know Amoryl is interested in playing, as i mite fly in and have him pick me up too.

I'll try to get some hotel info posted up soon. Until then, feel free to PM me (or anyone on Greif) for some suggestions.

The holiday inn express in cohokia (or something like that) was realy nice, and close....but the town is scary...stay in the hotel, lol.

Eh, just wing it, thats what i do. I like being asked, "what are you gonna do this game" and i'm usualy like, "i'm just gonna wing it, see what happens, i'll probably get shot"

Usualy when someone is humble they are a good player. I'm sure there isnt many people who log onto SCP that are not at least a decent player.

If anyone here plays on JoeSpud's team and he mysteriously appears in your bunker, and says "LOOK LEFT!!!" dont do it, or you will have some goggles to clean, hahaha. Darn bunker thief.

Also be careful to watch out for jay when you have the flag, but only if you are on his team. If you are on his team, and you have the flag, he's coming for you with a vengeance :P

"jay! stop jay, the games over jay, no no no jay the games over" this being said by hard8mike, to jay. jay was about to shoot hard8mike who was about to grab the flag, unfortunately hard8mike and jay were on the same team...with no opponents left. :) goodtimes!

Oh and then there was the aliens and also the pack of wild raptors.

But then Sal busted out the 50 Cal and it was ok.

Oddly enough the 50 cal was still quieter than the gold cart explosion...

I think Big Boy is bringing his regular team. I am, as last year, just looking to do a pick-up team. There has been some interest, so we shall see.

I know that we will be on the lookout for 1-2 more for the 5 man.

Don't know how often you come to Xtreme, but it's very pump friendly and may be a good place to recruit...

Well hey, I still have your number shives, and if anyone needs a 3rd or a 5th, let me know.

I live in Texas so practice is out of the question, but we didn't do too bad last year ;)
