when I prep for emr what should I be looking to do as far as lodging is considered ? I have heard things about bunk houses and stuff about camping and tents . I still dont know what I should bring to be prepared . if there is some kind of provided sheltered lodging do I need to bring just a sleeping bag ? I ask because there is no other post about the specifics of lodging . also I saw someone post about a motel room .
So Id just like to know the specifics about lodging .
thanks

Hotel Info
HotelsThere are bunkhouses which consist of bunks(hense the name) and electricity. Bring a sleeping bag and pillow. You must request a bunkhouse when you registar.
camping sites are behind the bunkhouses. Request a camping site when you registar. Bring either a tent or camper. NO electricity for campsites.
Both bunkhouses and campsites are free if you are registared to play.
Portapottys are on site.

Ok. guys heres from my experance from the first time I went(fall castle 16).If you stay in the hotels,DONT I repete DONT leave your markers or any equipment in them.Leave them locked in your car, unless your staying in your room 24 hours pryor to the game(and these isnt the ramada inn either)!Bunk houses, bring a bedroll or an air matress, those plywood beds are hell on the back. And bring a pillow and sleeping bag.The night can get nippy, bring a light weight parka or jacket.Choice of chow,in town you dont have much of a choice, you have some mom n' pop's places and a mickey d's the last time I was there. Not knocking on our northern brothers and sisters. But I was like dam,And they call us hillbillies !At least we have a wally world(wallmart) here!Bring travelers checks,Dont bring alot of cash!Believe me we had one cat(drunk semi player) bust down our door, good thing we were there to repell the invaders!I was like wdf I was scrambleing to reach for my smith and reconized that I wasnt at home!Just a lil' humor and advice to people that havent been to emer before.
Ive verified And Blue did indeed reserve a bunkhouse for SCP.. 20 or so bunks in total. by my count weve still a good 10 bunks open.. so theres plenty of room.. just shoot me a note if you want to reserve one.. and as mentioned above, these arent luxury accomodations, the hard plywood bunks dont bother me too much (might even help my back a bit) but some cant stand it.. those $1.99 blow up pool floats are great as temporary mattresses, and you can use em in the pond if you so desire... :)
Other than that, definatly bring a blanket (ask Andy about that one) , and some warmer clothes for the evening. the closest thing to showers are outdoor hose nozzels, but they work.. if you want a hot bath you have to drive down to the campground and pay them a couple bucks.. i think its about three or four miles away..
food on site will be limited... there should be a concessionary truck during the day, but thats about it besides the SCP tent, which will be subject to what everybody brings to help out.. last year we had more than enough, but that mayor may not be the case this year, so dont depend on us for your only source of sustinance.. well do our best though.. the more that people toss into the mix, the better off well be..
the rest is rather basic, spare clothes, bug repellant (deet) , an FRS radio if you have one will help, especially during the big game.. a cooler and gallon of water or similiar.. extra socks and shoes (wet feet are the worst, and many areas of the field may be wet) , an "Anti- rain" dance is being done , so were hopefull itll be dry..
bring 12 grams if your using them, otherwise you wont be...co2 tank and hpa fills will be available ...
lots of money for greens fees (pre register so you dont have to worry over it), and paint...and ofcourse- toys.. ive a feeling this will turn into a virtual swap meet at some point..
basically take a weekend of camping gear, and add your pump paintball gear to that, and youll be okey dokey... :D
