their website

comovartia - June 29, 2004 06:22 PM (GMT)
I'll be there ( I started this mess i had better be there)
As far as I know Rath, =p, monkeyman(?), and hopefuly a bunch of the camp paintball crew will be there.
If you've yet to experence fox4, all I can say is it is a great field. They have a fantastic staff, great regulars, are inexpensive, and have always been pump friendly. :D It is a byop field so any paint you have left over from those other fields can be used here.
They do not sell 12gr so if you are going to use them, bring them.
Hope to see you all there.

Yes, but NO SWEARING!
I'll need to practice up on my "Melon Feeler", "Dang", and "Jeepers" :)
I'll be making the trip. Maybe I should bring a grill and sausages?
ladymarshal - June 30, 2004 05:10 PM (GMT)
Ill bring the bread to go with them just tell me how many we need..
uh uh.. im opening myselfup to comments about my "buns" <_<
maybe if Lesky can come(I told him about it)
we can have him serve them
I miss his comments of "grab your buns & spread 'em"
Comovartia, ibefore we do it,
is it ok with this field to bring food?

I will check but if my memory serves me right I have seen people bring their own grills and fire them up.

Ok this is less then a month away so I wanted to refresh everyones memory about this game. The more folks we can get here the better chance we have of them inviting us back for another pump game.
MA is the home of the Marshals so I am expecting to see a good turn out from at least the MA Marshals. This fiels is located in central MA so is not that difficult to get to from a lot of area's in MA.
comovartia B)
Rember this is a BYOP field so if you have any paint left over from Pump Pandamonium or any other game you've played bring it along. For those of you buying paint they have very reasonable paint prices.

TouchofGrey - August 27, 2004 09:41 PM (GMT)
Kinda wondering what kinda of turnout there is for these pump games up at Fox 4.
Last time we had a stock day in CT we had a low turnout. Probably 'cuz like an idiot I had it on Fathers day.
comovartia - August 27, 2004 10:14 PM (GMT)
I'm hoping for a pretty decent turn out. Response on their forums seems pretty good. I've been whoring this around on all the other boards. Interest seems pretty good. I know of a few marshals that are going and hopefuly quite a few of the silent one's that never seem to have any presence online will hear about it and show up.
Keep in mind that this will be done like a private game going on while a regular Rec ball day is happening. The owners are not ready to give up the whole field to us pumpers for a day. Yet. But after just 2 or 3 people showing interest they decided to have this event. So lets show them what a pump event is like and how good of a turn out we can get.

I'll strive to make it, Mapquest says its approx 3.5 hrs from my place in the NY capital region. Anyone need a ride?
rathbaster - August 30, 2004 10:02 PM (GMT)
Anyone who's going,if you have a loaner, bring it along.....we've had several inquiries about trying out pump but not having onr themselves. :)

TouchofGrey - August 30, 2004 11:52 PM (GMT)
Wondering if anyone has a spare 4oz bottle I can use. If not I'll just use 12 grams. I have plenty of 7oz bottles but they throw my balance way off.
oldskool - August 30, 2004 11:55 PM (GMT)
Assuming I make it I have an extra 3.5 oz tank and extra markers to use.
TouchofGrey - August 31, 2004 09:58 PM (GMT)
Wondering about the cost for the day. Appears to be $25 and you get free air. Are they really strict in getting the $10 up front versus me just showing up with the full fee? I'm there as Pyrate has gratiously agreed to give me a lift. Are there multiple woods field that we will be playing on? For some reason I could not brink up the field layouts on the webcite.
Oh, and any chance that there is a Chinese food place near the field that delivers?
I am also looking for some of the old Phantom valve tubes and cup seals for the unibody Phantoms. Am willing to trade. I have lots of Nelson power tubes with cup seals and valve seats, wire stock, plus other stuff. Seems my Nelspot only likes Phantom valve tubes. Worse comes to worse I'll call Mike at CCI and order them.
Thanks
EqualsP - August 31, 2004 10:03 PM (GMT)
there are multiple woods fields.. they are primarily a recball field that has a couple tourny fields..
bring your hip waders.. or atleast a very good pair of waterproof boots.. about 1/3 of the woods field is swamp.. yes you can navigate around it cleanly, but that takes some of the fun out of the field.
=P
TouchofGrey - August 31, 2004 10:26 PM (GMT)
Just how deep is the mud? And will there be wrestling? I have waterproof ankle high boots. Hope those will do.

those should be fine for most of the field.. the deep stuff is obvious.. I personally wear Magnum boots (shin high) and they keep me dry except for when I do the stupid stuff like run through the 3foot deep stream and things..
Rath and I both joke that it's not a real day at Fox4 unless we end up atleast to our knees in mud.. I have yet to leave being in less than my waist at least once.
mmm.. mud wrestling.. probably not =(

The pump day is essentially a field sponsored private game. No need to worry about booking, just show up with your field fee and you're set.
As for the swamp, if THE-SHOOTIST is not on your side, I expect he won't let you stay there long enough to worry about getting wet

O.k. I want in...but have no pump. I tired looking for prices on the web and I'am wicked confused. HELP!!
TouchofGrey - September 7, 2004 09:38 PM (GMT)
Their will be a number of players attending the event that may be willing to lend you a pump. Be prepared to provide a drivers lisence and/or a deposit since a lot of these markers are antiques.
I have a 11" black comp phantom. Old unibody design with CA adapter and 12 gram quick change. Velocity adjusting tool included. BE Fiber Optic site included. This cannot be converted to STOCK CLASS!. It is in need of a Phantom power tube and cup seal assembly and possibly a main spring. You can get these parts from CCI or odds are at least a bunch of players that will have these parts available. It shoots great but I rarely use it. I took the power tube, cup seal and main spring to use in my Nelspot and I am not taking them out. I will be bringing it up with me on Sunday. First $140 cash (no trades) I see takes it away. Or $120 and a 750ml bottle of Souza Tequila. I'll throw in an Indian Springs loader and possibly a tank.
comovartia - September 8, 2004 06:05 PM (GMT)
I also have a few pumps that if I have up and working can be borrowed. License, CC or first born accepted as collateral.

OK this thing goes down tomorrow. So if you are going to be in the new england area and are looking for something to do come on down to fox4 for a great day of pump paintball.

PS look for pics by Tuesday if I use the digital, a little longer if I use a disposable.
Pyrate Jim - September 11, 2004 10:54 PM (GMT)
The back of my truck is stuffed.
200sf tent, tables, display boards, gear to play with and about two dozen markers, Flags, tanks, tools, chairs and a cooler, packs, pods, tubes, photo albums, paint, a ladder(fer chrissakes)...How much of this stuff do I really need?
But it'll look good when it's set up. With luck TOG and I will be there early to get it together.
dan22898 - September 12, 2004 02:39 AM (GMT)
Looks like I can't go I have to sort out some issues first, that have come up. I'm sad that I won't be able to play with some of the best of the best :pow: . Maybe next week there could be a pump day at Camp (scraches head...that's a good idea... :P ).
TouchofGrey - September 12, 2004 08:06 AM (GMT)
Pyrate Jim - September 13, 2004 12:27 AM (GMT)
I've had a shower and unloaded the truck.
Many thanks to Rath, Como and =P for some memorable games, and for most of the fifteen welts my wife counted as I got out of the shower. I know only about four of those came from the semi's on the Xball field, and thanks again to Masse for setting us up against 'em. I'm sure we made an impression.
For being a first attempt at setting up a marker display, I think we did well. Como helped fill the table with a few of his own that drew attention, but I'll need more of the vertical backboards to hang 'em up on. "Tis but practice for next year, and things will change and grow before we're finished.
I'm willing to bet Fox4 will have pics up soon.
comovartia - September 13, 2004 01:33 AM (GMT)
I know I can lay claim to one definatly. The rest, who knows. A great day. Always is at fox4 and always is with the Marshals. Hoping to do it again with some more people.

O.K. ~ Rath had posted a link to Como's pics....It was working for me, even though the Fox4 pics weren't (aren't) up yet.
And now it's gone, or was I on a different board?
I had the camera, but got no action shots. Just a few in the tent- including Missy sleeping in a folding chair, cradling her PGP.

it depends on how you got to Fox4.. they changed thier website a few days ago. Direct links to the old one still work but aren't updated anymore.

Just checked my albumn link...it still works. I've had occasional trouble with Village Photos, there seems to be times when the site does not respond.
