I"m not going to be able to make it this year, I'll just be getting back from a month in Alberta and BC visiting the wife's and my families and won't have the funds.
Meph - January 20, 2008 04:44 PM (GMT)
What the? Isn't it PPV now?
the underdog - January 20, 2008 04:54 PM (GMT)
they've got to be out of their minds... there is no way i'm pre-regging and planning on that date after the $700 fiasco their little date change cost me last year.
if i can go, cool. but it's really a catch 22. can't trust the dates they post, which means i can't get an air ticket yet, which means if i wait until i can trust the date won't change, that means air line tickets will be more expensive and out of my price range.
that date change last year ruined the trip for me last time, and really left a sour taste in my mouth. i love the people, loved the games, but the hassle created by the date change and the amount of money it cost me changed my commitment to being able to get out there for a reasonable cost. :(
Brimstone - January 20, 2008 08:20 PM (GMT)
ill make sure the date doesn't change. im going up there next weekend to iron out details
PUMPA4LYF3 - January 20, 2008 10:20 PM (GMT)

I kinda thought it should be PPVI, wasnt last years event PPV? I remember seing PPIV patches in the case, but they were leftovers from the year before ( I think )

Can't blame ya' a bit Jeff.
Yeah, it'd be nice to get it in stone Brimy - then again, I thought we had that last year...
Hope we don't get moved from pillar to post again. I ain't playin' that date change BS a second time.
Drum - January 23, 2008 03:38 PM (GMT)
Mmmmm... bummer.
Last year was the first one I missed and I am kinda bummed at the dates for 2008.
Albeit months away, I am still not sure that I will be willing to play paintball on August 3.
Here's hoping that the calender will advance or whatever and PP_ in 2009 will be on a different day.
Have fun guys,
D.

papaintballer - January 23, 2008 09:47 PM (GMT)
year pass will cost 25 dollars more now just to let ya know.
comovartia - January 24, 2008 03:37 PM (GMT)
I will have to wait until the date is in stone before I pre reg. I also got screwed last year and missed the game for the 1st time. I know this is not a big money maker for Blue but hopefully he continues to hold this event and doesn't have to play the date change game.

Pyrate Jim - March 1, 2008 03:29 PM (GMT)
Worth the drive from anywhere.
lefty
Jeffy-CanCon - March 3, 2008 06:24 PM (GMT)
Agreed. We drive twice as far as you would from LI. And lots of people drive from farther than my gang.

even a 1400 mile drive from miami, FL?
Chemical X - March 29, 2008 12:01 AM (GMT)
Its a 12 hour drive for us. This will be year number five for me.
crazyorigin - March 29, 2008 02:44 PM (GMT)
I remember a few people mentioning they flew out, and a few others from Canada, and some more from far away places. There was a couple members from PCP there, and i think they are out of Cali. (not sure). I only live an hour and a half away but will honestly say that if it were 10 times farther away i'de still go, it is really a great event.
g35x - March 29, 2008 11:04 PM (GMT)
really looking forward to this, I just traded my superstock sniper for an SC phantom.
only $40 admission and I get a bag of paint? with an SCphantom now instead of my OC sniper that should last me all weekend :]
plus trip won't be too bad, I live in NJ, 3 hour drive says google maps
NHMurph - April 4, 2008 12:45 AM (GMT)
I'll be there. I wanted to hit last years when Carter was leading one of the teams, but it never materialized (fifteen hours a week will do that.)
papaintballer - April 4, 2008 02:19 AM (GMT)
Alot of ppl come up from jersey so u may be able to hitch a ride with someone...
