I know I have talked to many of you other people in the area. I do want to get on a team for this. Willing to 3 or 5 or both. Speak up local people. I hear that lots of people are coming from afar. Let's show them we have a presence here as well.

Bad Blood is looking for some help in the 5man.
QAZ123 - July 3, 2007 02:15 PM (GMT)
I swear anybody within 8 hours of STL who doesn't show up for this event better never talk any smack online on how good they are. OSC is giving us an oppurtunity to host an event for us so every that is able better show up!
JB.
JOESPUD27 - July 3, 2007 04:45 PM (GMT)
If I can get the cash together I'd be in for either 3 or 5. Maybe both at the $400 price tag. I'm moving right now, but let me know guys. I'm not great but I can at least trade bodies with the other team every now & then.

What teams are committed to playing this event? Just gauging interest before I buy plane tickets...
QAZ123 - July 3, 2007 05:13 PM (GMT)
I know for a fact my team (Bang Gang) will be there for 3 man. MCG will be there for 3 man then both teams will be joining up for 5 man.
3EV will be there I'm sure in some form.
JB.
QAZ123 - July 4, 2007 07:28 PM (GMT)
Question...
I know PMI will be sponsoring the event with there paintballs and we are allowed to use our own paint but can a team with a paint sponsorship have there companies banner in the staging area/tent?
Just don't wanna step on any toes...
JB.
the underdog - July 6, 2007 01:25 AM (GMT)
3EV will be there for sure, but if hard8 is planning to come out, we may just crawl back under our rocks...i don't think our egos can handle another 45 second game :bang:
psyche!
we'll be there with bells on...minus the bells!
Ph4n7oM 3 - July 6, 2007 01:53 AM (GMT)
TG will be rolling with a 3 and 5 man team........maybe 2 of each. It looks to be very fun and a great gathering hopefully.
CANT WAIT!

Ive seen other teams with their own paint sponsership banners at the field before. As long as the OSC folks dont have an issue with it, I don't believe the folks at Xtreme will. :)

I still want to play in this, but haven't got a team yet. I'm sure I will come out to at least watch. Maybe if one of the solid 3-man teams is looking for an extra body for the 5-man. I'll be out at the field for the big game in 2 weeks. Maybe I can round up a team then.

Quick question is the 5-man unlimited paint or limited paint? And if its limited how many?

I'm pretty sure its 30-40rds for 3-man & 60rds per person 5-man. LIVE players can share paint.

Completely a guess, but the Front Air ball fields. 5man X-ball or 3-man field.

Shives - July 30, 2007 03:52 PM (GMT)
I'm hearing that not many teams have registered. There is concern (not from the management @ Xtreme) that the OSC people may have a problem w/ that. If you are commited, get signed up quickly. We really need this to happen.

Workin' on it. We're currently trying to figure out who is going to be on what team. Appears we will be bringing two different teams.
BonzaI 187 - August 1, 2007 05:21 PM (GMT)
Dark Covenant will be signing up shortly. We're still trying to get our situation straight. Granted though we WILL be there for the 3 - man right next to 3ev!

Any one know hotels close to the field? We are currently trying to figure out our total cost to go so we can get our butts registered.

Here are your hotels:
this is the hotel that d.c. has already booked, the Holiday Inn Express at Cahokia. It is moderately priced at $64 per night, has a pool, offers a continental breakfast and free internet. It has good reviews (4.8 out of 5).
Also, it is not far from the field (9.2 miles). I think the field is out in the middle of NOWHERE!
And it is a well known hotel (so you are less likely to catch the scurge)

If anyone needs an extra man for either event, I'd be willing to play. If not, its cool, I'm sure I will be in attendance anyway. GL to all!
Linuss - August 7, 2007 03:00 AM (GMT)
Looks like Big Boy, Shives, King, me and another guy are going to be a team for the 5 man.
Question--- since they are already doing the 3 man, will the field be open on Sat for rec players so I'm not bored out of my mind at the hotel or on the sideline?
JOESPUD27 - August 7, 2007 01:27 PM (GMT)
I'll be there, both days. If you need an extra player let me know.
All my previous "teams" seem to have slowly fell apart.
Jay
Linuss - August 7, 2007 03:00 PM (GMT)
Joe I would have said lets you and me find a 3rd for the 3 man on sat but I'm broke as it is so I'll just be doing rec.
nastynate01 - August 7, 2007 09:48 PM (GMT)
does anybody know the field setup? id like to have a look at it instead of shooting blindly into the wind lol....

well i already e-maild that girl about getting a birds eye layout of the field and she said there wasnt one.

Big Boy - August 8, 2007 02:31 PM (GMT)
Most fields change there set up a day or two before a tournament so no one has an advantage. Also just to set it up for what it is needed as. It's been used as a rec/practice field for a while, now they will change it to be best for a 5 man. At least that's what most fields do...
the underdog - August 8, 2007 03:40 PM (GMT)
3EV is registering ASAP, trying to figure out if we're doing both the 3man and the 5man
3DSteve - August 9, 2007 04:37 AM (GMT)
Xtreme will have open play the entire weekend, while the tourney is happening. If your looking for something to do in St. Louis (evenings or whatever), you have to check out the
City Museum. It's amazing.
As far as Hotels, I'm rarely in Cahokia, so I can't speak to the conditions there, but I know that Belleville and Fairview Heights are the two closest large towns with plenty of amenities.
Linuss - August 9, 2007 04:51 AM (GMT)
Well a girl I know goes to school at Stephen's college.. I know Columbia is like 2 hours away but I can probably convince her to come out for that Saturday to keep me occupied. Hell, she's the one that invited me to visit her at school sometime this fall...
