Title: Castle 17, results from a deaf-end-der!
Description: a quickie

The defenders held for about 1 hour, 47 minutes. About. It might be 1:55 too.
More later, when I know ALL details. Right now, I'm collapsing.

some more info.
Total number, form Mike himself, 793 players. about 150 defenders. So it WAS 4-1 odds. If you all want the 'war stories' from it, I'll do it, but it'll hurt. :)
All cool.

No j/k, when even you feel like it, give us one or two. Were you attacking or Defending?

Pure paintball insanity!
The following is an excerpt from what I'm jotting down in my memoirs:
As usual my equipment failed as soon as I arrived. My Phantom was running in tip-top shape last Sunday at 285 fps. I throw in a 12g at the chrono before the game and it’s 355. Awright, the adjusting bolt won’t go that far so I go back up to the bunkhouse and swap springs. I come down again and even after playing with down-the-tube adjusting it won’t get over 190. I hike back up and swap out springs again. This time I get it to 140 and the game is starting so I let it slide.
I get on the field at the whistle and run up the right tape with other pump players. Make some contact and line up a shot ~only the gun won’t pump. Cussin’ anda swearin’ I hike off the field and back up to the bunkhouse. I take out the KP3 with D/F and fill some guppies for the battlepack…Only I run this on C/A and I have to go down and have the bottle inspected, pay for an air fill (I was planning on 12g’s), get the tank filled and then chrono in and get back to the game.
Only missed the first half-hour and once I had the KP running, the day went well.
There will be more to it, especially about Magnum Boots and the DVD.
But the weather was some of the best I've experienced down there, and I played defense the second game along with most of the Marshals. The vendors were great and the list of sponsors was as long as your arm.

Another quickie that hasn't yet made it to the memoirs was the little paint prank we pulled when we sent one of the guys down to find a freak insert to fit the paint. Problem was, I had handed him paint from the SMG60...

That's just so wrong Pyrate Jim
Why didin't you send the guy to do something simple like find some Ice Mix or a can of Squelch.

that guy must have been really thick to nnot realize that the paint was way to small. :o

For what it's worth, he came back empty-handed. Not even the paintballs he left with.

Heh, I know people like that, myself included. Working at a kitchen when you get new employees, we give them the traditional scavenger hunt.
Like "go to the freezer and get a box of air" they always come back "Can't find it."
Had Tim just goofing off, but getting paid. He spent 3 hours sharpening a knife for I don't know what reason. Next guy doing dishes, when his back turned he dropped it in the water! I won't get into detail about what happened. But he found it funny.
