Where do I pre-register? Where will it be held? Hopefully close to me.

crazyorigin - December 24, 2006 06:35 PM (GMT)
Nice, EMR isnt far, and i havent been there yet. I want to hit it up for Castle Conquest in the spring, and i'll definetly be at PP4.
I cant believe Paint is 85$ a case, hold bejesus. Guess i'll have to shoot sparingly at Castle
I cant seem to find the Pre-Registration for PP4, just Castle Conquest in the spring. Is it up yet, or will it be up after Castle? Thanks.
Brimstone - December 24, 2006 09:07 PM (GMT)
its 80 cash a case as compaired to skirmishes 110 a cash i think its a good deal. at least its not indoor seconds.
crazyorigin - December 24, 2006 11:41 PM (GMT)
I've heard that Skirmish is s rip off. I'm used to paying $55 a case for good paint. But i know my local field doesnt have the fascilities EMR does, so thats probably why the price is so much more.
CrashSTP - December 25, 2006 12:12 AM (GMT)
off topic but on the paint prices
from
http://www.emrpaintball.com/fpo.shtml Dear Players,
When questioned about the issue of FIELD PAINT ONLY as required at our field, I like to take the time to point out a few things to think over. As the only Paintball Field in the country to offer 24 different playing fields (Including a ONE+ ACRE CASTLE, another CASTLE, a FIVE ACRE TOWN with 1 & 2 STORY BUILDINGS, a FIREBASE, a STILT VILLAGE, STOCKADE FORT with TEE PEES, 4 SPEEDBALL COURTS, 2 LIGHTED FIELDS for NIGHT PLAY, plus 15 other fields full of trenches, earth berms, bunkers, tunnels, bridges, and assorted buildings), FREE LODGING in 30 BUNKHOUSES, a FULL REC CENTER (POOL TABLE, PING PONG, FOOSBALL, FOOD, BEVERAGES, LIVE BANDS), BON FIRE AREA, PICNIC PAVILLION with FREE GRILL, SWIMMING POND, FISHING POND, HORSE SHOES, and VOLLEYBALL; I would like you to consider the following partial list of expenses that are involved in providing this top notch facility for your paintball enjoyment.
1. Cost of paying for 122 acres of Land
2. Cost of paying taxes on 122 acres of land.
3. Maintaining roads on 122 acres of land.
4. Clearing briars, fallen logs, trash, etc. on 122 acres of land.
5. Repairing and Maintaining over 50 buildings; painting, broken boards, electrical, plumbing, etc.
6. Building and erecting new structures; buildings, bunkers, walls, etc.
7. Paying for 7 Sani-pots every month.
8. Utilities; Propane, Electricity, Dumpster, Oil.
9. Buying and Maintaining 3 work Trucks, Bus, Case Tractor, Brush Hog.
10. Buying and Maintaining mowers, weedwackers, chain saws, tools, hoses, ladders, etc. 11) Gas and Oil for above vehicles and tools.
11. Buying and Maintaining two Scuba Compressors, 3 high pressure fill stations, and 10 bottle fill set up.
12. Buying and Maintaining 8 CO2 Fill Stations and Scales.
13. Buying and installing New 12' Safety Netting every two years.

18. Training Safety Certified Referees and providing them with Backpacks, Ref Shirts, Whistles, First Aid Kits, Hand Held Chronos, 6 Radar Chronos, Squeegees, Lens Cleaner, Water Bottles, Paper Towels, etc.
19. Training Service Technicians and Buying their Tools, Testing Equipment, and Parts.
20. Advertising; Flyers, Brochures, Web Page, Ads in Magazines, Ads in Newspapers, traveling to and purchasing booth space at big events.
21. Employing a full time Operations Manager, Field Manager, Head Referee, and Myself.

23. Paying for Liablity Insurance.
24. Paying for Insurance on the 50 buildings.
25. Hiring top Scenario Producers like VIPER of VIPER PAINTBALL SCENARIOS to run Scenario Games.
I trust that the above listing will enlighten you to some of the actual costs of running a facility of the size and quality of E.M.R. PAINTBALL PARK and explain the necessity of allowing Field Paint Only. Without making Profit on Paintballs, we could not keep the doors open and constantly improve our fields and games for your enjoyment. At $75.47 plus PA sales tax of $4.53 per Case of 2000 paintballs, I feel that it is a very fair price for what you receive at our facility. Thank-you for your time.
Sincerely,
BLUE, SUE, and DEUCE
crazyorigin - December 31, 2006 04:51 PM (GMT)
Yes. I knew that was why the paint costs so much more. I'm sure its worth the money, i just hope it isnt $30 paint for $85. I bet its decent mid grade paint, which is acceptable.
" i know my local field doesnt have the fascilities EMR does, so thats probably why the price is so much more. "
Flaker - December 31, 2006 11:49 PM (GMT)
PMI marbs some of the best.

crazyorigin - January 1, 2007 12:46 AM (GMT)
IS that their field paint? if so, then that really is a decent deal.
Newtonium - January 4, 2007 09:47 PM (GMT)
I have been going to EMR for the past 8 years, and during that time I have heard many people complain about the cost of paint before going to the field. I have never heard any complaints after those same people have been to EMR.
Once you see the field you'll know why.

my first trip down i was grumbling about the 5 hour drive down, and just before i entered the park i said to sniper1rfa, "man im never making this trip down again, this sux."
to which he replied," turn on your high beams."
i did, and saw the castle, and said <" im coming back thats all there is to it."
for what EMR offers, $80 is cheap for a case of paint.
R.E.Lee - January 5, 2007 03:55 AM (GMT)
I'll see if I could get there, if not, I'm definitely going to get to PP 5.
crazyorigin - January 5, 2007 07:50 AM (GMT)
I havent been to EMR yet, but i'm definetly going down a few times this summer. Its not really too far away, and I have seen pictures in APG of it. I'm sure it is worth $80 a case for good paint given all they offer. What is the exact date for PP4? I havent seen anything official posted anywhere yet? Thanks
Billy6977 - January 5, 2007 03:55 PM (GMT)
I've made the trip from Jacksonville FL 17 hour trip one way when the gas prices were $3.00+ per gallon paid for 3 people me my wife and brother. Complaied about the trip all the way there and all the way back, and the kicker is I got food posioning friday on the way up to EMR we were about 60 miles form EMR when i started vomitting every few mins intill about 4am sat morning, and we'll make the trip agin this year its just that i'm not eatting any big Macs on the way up this time. its worth the drive the price of paint and admission. If i'm correted you get a bag of paint with your feild fees.

papaintballer - March 28, 2007 06:45 PM (GMT)
im definatly up for it, as all EMR events. Hopeing my phantoms here by friday so i can take it to meltdown saturday. if now its either shocker, ego or angel and alot more money in paint :P
Not sure if im going to skirmish for ION i might, just incase i need that event to maintain my spot on the team. And since the date change i definatly can make it if i dont have to work.. most likely i wont since its summer and generally cut back to 30-38 hrs in summer.
Jeffy-CanCon - March 29, 2007 09:15 PM (GMT)
CanCon usually does a group-registration, closer to the date. Probably late May, I expect. Hopefully we will have 10 people this year, but our big push is for Fall Castle.

I'm not sure yet but Deb and I may grab a camping site and pitch the Timmy tent.
papaintballer - April 9, 2007 03:59 AM (GMT)
i was informed from my capt. that EMR changed a policy for pass holders. If you dont register for a event then the person (even being a passholder) will be charged at the door. Guess last year there was alot of pass holders not pre-registering for events and just showing up since they have a pass and didnt have to worry about paying. Whcih was also a problem for the viper game, bc viper had to be payed per player the registered, and ppl that didnt register and just showed up deuce didnt know about and had to actually pay in to make up for it.
just a heads-up

That makes some sense. Knowledge is king. You might sell 500 annual passes, but you cannot assume those 500 people will show up for every event. It makes a big difference to planning, even when they are not paying registration fees each time. How many refs, ID lanyards, porta-potties, etc.. CanCon has done annual passes for a couple of years now with EMR, but have always made sure to communicate exactly who was coming to each event.
Finnigan - June 19, 2007 01:40 PM (GMT)

crazyorigin - June 19, 2007 04:22 PM (GMT)

papaintballer - June 19, 2007 08:43 PM (GMT)
im gonna reg this weekend at fort. And origin, i think u might be able to come stay up at our bunk. As of right now i think there will be 2 of us there, so that leaves 9 bunks open. :P
Drox - June 20, 2007 07:12 AM (GMT)
Do I have to e-mail them to register?
And what team are the SCP guys gonna be on?
papaintballer - June 20, 2007 11:18 PM (GMT)

crazyorigin - June 21, 2007 06:42 AM (GMT)
Anal Trojan shots? sounds uncomfortable to me :o :P haha. What bunk will that be, the SCP bunkhouse or another one? I appreciate the offer.

Nothing planed yet... have to get an idea who all will be attending, maybe we'll have enough guys to fill a bunkhouse. I'll have to check base with Andy and Brandon to see what they have in mind.
