Hey guys--

As posted in an earlier thread, I hoped to set up a pump day here in NY. I figured May would be good, and so as not to conflict with Meph's pump tourney on the 8th, I'm shooting for Sunday, May 30, at GRC Paintball, in Belfast, NY. I think EMR has an event that day, but I've already got at least a dozen or so players ready to go, so we'll do it up then.

No tourney here. I'm looking at a rec-ball pump get-together. There's 2 outdoors hyperball fields, an indoor field, and a woods field, so there'll be a chance to get in a whole slew of different kinds of play. Get together with your fellow pump players, play some good ol' fashioned non-electro ball, and come out and enjoy yourself!

I'll leave this up here, let me know if any of you are interested, and I'll add your names to the list.

Depending on when the EMR game ends I might be able to fly from PA up to GRC and make this trip. Man am I going to be busted up and sore the coming Monday!

5/30/04, Pump Gathering at GRC Paintball

Location: GRC Paintball, Belfast, NY

$15 entry fee. The owner decided not to cut me as much slack as he'd originally decided on, but paint isn't bad. $45 per case, but hell, 7 or 8 of us can play all day on less than a case. LOL God only knows that the Squirrels are good at that :P

I'll be there getting set up at 10 am or so. I figure that's a good start time. This is no tourney, just a chance for us to get together and play against one another without semis invading our field. There's 4 fields so we can have our own field all day if we like.

I will be there, and since Cheerio tends to work saturdays but get sundays off there is a good chance that she will be there too.

I might be able to get up to 10 or so more people too... depending on their work schedules. I will post their names up as the commit.

it's already scratched into the calendar. Can't wait for this one....

is this still a go? I checked the GRC website, and found no mention of a pump-day. They do however, have a 3-man beginner tournament listed for 5/30 instead.

The game is still on...Six talked to the guys at GRC about that and they said that they can accomodate both. It's a pump-only day for us...we're completely separate. They have 4 different fields on the premises...so we can still jump around if we choose. The owner also mentioned he oragnized a few pumpers to play with us...so the turnout could be a bit bigger than I'd planned. Nothing wrong with that, the more pumpers the better as far as I'm concerned.

Hey StrokerAce, I talked to you a few months ago about this game on mcarterbrown forums, but I lost touch with you and hadn't heard anything. I frequent GRC often and want to start playing some sotck class, so next time you guys are down at GRC I'd love to come out and play with you.

Sheazer, sorry you couldn't have been there for it - it was a BLAST! It sounds like GRC is very open to having pump events in the future, so we'll be sure to let you know in advance.

I heard it was quite a day, and I hope to get out and play with you guys in the future. Also, do you guys play in Rochester? If so and you have some upcoming games there I might make the trip out there for some pump games.

actually, Compete Paintball (Compete PB) is having a 24hr game this weekend!
