Title: revy pocket hopper
Description: yes its true !!!
Chemical X - February 3, 2004 06:06 AM (GMT)
I used my utility knife of justice to carve my pocket hopper to the right conformity and a cordless drill and a soldering iron to construct the bastard child of a revy and a 10 round stock tube .
behold I give you the pocket revy hopper .

Nice job that is a cool idea. :) how well does it feed?
Chemical X - February 3, 2004 06:13 AM (GMT)
purely amazing
I had to make a adjustment to the position of the eye but it seems to run a little bit quicke rthan when it was 200 round feeding , my thought is that it is not fighting against all those balls and can easily move the fewer ball count around .
thanks

Shouldn't this be in the Buy and sell forum?
Make them for a profit! I believe Quickling wanted to make some, you beat him to the punch!
Who needs System X when you have Chemical X!
$30 with shipping, I say.
:D

Holy cow, is that a chromed SL? I was thinking of routing the air via a gas thru stock and running a 4oz vertical... but it looks like the tank sits way lower than I'd be comfortable with. Oh yeah, nice hopper :D

Yeah I got bored and I already had a EGG so Idont really dont need a revy much anymore . so I waited till it's back was turned to me and I ponced on it with a philips screwdriver in one hand and a utility knife in the other . .... It never saw me coming and it didnt feel a thing . poor revy .
in all honesty I didnt cut one wire but I did snap one off the board before I started positioning it onto the new loader . I really dont like soldering leads back onto the boards . I did get to use some heat shrink though , always fun for that . I can still load 50 rounds in it and it spits them out .
Definitly works better than the virgin loader ( un modded ) .

believe it or not its not chrome , its polished aluminum . it was wire brushed and hand sanded to remove the sand paper texture it had . next a progressive 4 step sanding process . then buffing wheel on a dremel with inculded compound . after that it went to my new favorite polish ( Mother's mag and aluminum polish ).
and that is the finish you see .
Now if I can get punisher to return some mail .

That is by far the sweetest thing I've seen in a while. I'll buy one if you start puttin' em together!

Wow. I'd love to see some directions for making one, as well as a few diagrams :D
How did you get the even dark color? I dyed a bunch (with rit) but they were not so opaque.

They come in black now. At least at our Walmart, that is.

It was done with an older 9v revy , And I searched around for them last night and those things are pricey far above the suggsted price of marlins the 9v revy's I found were pulling 60 buck's !!!! But it was a kind of package combo and I couldnt find them by themselves .
Servo $ 35... propeller $1 ...circuit board $10... battery terminal $1.50
here is a price list .
http://www.eaglepaintball.com/cgi-bin/webc...-26104208053.6eabove is a price list .
Anyway I would be happy to show you all on how to make one . I cant go for the whole I make them for this price and then ship them out for a higher price kind of thing . I would be happy to make them for you if you sent me the material though .
I am going to be getting some parts together to try to construct a non revy"ized loader , Hopefuly I can get my supplies all from radio shark so I can make a list of part's of readily available pieces . Or I might make them if they prove to be better than the pocket revy . but I only have a banjo box and a pocket left . So I think I may try to do one more to both of them .
Also th eye maybe utilized from the already existing VL line . I got a good look at mine when I did the upgrade . and it looks to be able to be used wilth little or no modifications .
Also I have determined that the servo included is no specialty servo and can be had for a low dollar amont 11 dollars
http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXH288&P=0so the servo and eye comes up to 21 bucks so far .
the battery terminal can be had at radio shack for a few dollars for a multipack .
and the propeller can be bought at the same time as a the eye for a one whole dollar .
All in all it depends on how you want to build this project .
ChemX
I may add a video of it working to my site .
also when I reread post it sounded like I was being sarcastic . But I guess I didnt structure my word's properly . oh well I would be glad to make them actually...
I will probly use the revy eye . I think it has a voltage regulator included in the assembly . And I think the regular servo's will be just fine . I am going to try my RC ones in a comparison test . I think the high torque ones may crush paintball's so I am gonna try a 44oz servo , I believe that to be the standard in servo's ( the local shop confirmed this for me ) .
I cant give an absolute price but would $ 40 be okay shipped within the continental US ?
Hey rath this is a black one like you had talked about .

$40 sounds solid.
If you get to producing them make sure and tell Hans. He's going to have many 3.5oz tanks soon, you know. ;)
Gotta sell them Automag pump kits first, buy them buy them now! Hans is so cool. You actually ought to ask him what he might be able to help you with...who knows, he might be able to get those parts surplus.
As for the parts myself, I'll search for you. I could have sworn I've seen cheap parts before somewhere....and we do NOT need an Xboard hehe. Might as well just cut a Halo down if you would do that.
Well good luck.

im sure I could make a solid product with few revy parts , maybe just the eye . After all the eye is the only truly specialized part in it .

$40 sounds good. If you'll make em, I'll pay that. Send you the pocket hopper and a wad of cash?
Chemical X - February 4, 2004 06:10 AM (GMT)
