Title: Phantom for trade

Murf425 - January 27, 2004 04:22 AM (GMT)
Well, I played with my Phantom once, and I have to say that I really wasn't all that impressed. It seems no more accurate than my Sidekick, and the pump stroke is stiffer. I know, I know...give it time and it'll get smoother, but I would rather carry something I'm comfortable with from the get go. So, she's up for trade.

Specs:
Blue, RF, Nickle .45 block, Hogue grips, bottomline with quick disconnect, Drop Out 12 gram changer, 14" Nickle barrel, trigger shoe.
Taken immaculate care of, I've only used it in 2 games. Beautiful gun.

I'm looking for the following:
1) Customized (as in Punished or Palmerized) PGP
2) Palmers Pug.

Sorry, but I just prefer pistols to anything long...and Sheridans to Nelsons any day of the week and twice on Sunday.

Anyhow, let me know what you have, and we can decide if any cash needs to be included by either party.

pics. and cash price?

I can get some pics tomorrow night probably. As for cash price, I'd say around $275 shipped. I would REALLY rather trade, though. It usually works out for all parties involved that way.
Give my your email address and I'll try to get you some pics tomorrow night. If you really want to buy it, I can do that.

He didn't know what he had. This thing is in much better shape than $200 worth. I sell stuff for what it's worth...I can't help having gotten a steal of a deal on it.

Oh yeah, I forgot the tank. Your choice of a 4 or 20 ounce. And before anyone asks, no, I won't part out the 4 oz.

I dont' know about Murf but I'd sure like to see what you've got/can do, Punisher. I know you've got "da skillz", so if you could show some pictures of PGPs you have done that'd be great.

Fasst changers, speed loaders, valve tuning, barrel honing, nickel plated would be nice, trigger shoe, lightened hammer, ball counter slots.
Not all are necessary, I know that would probably be worth more than my Phantom, but a few of them would be nice.

Lemming brought up a good point in an email, so I'm going to clear a few things up.
The Phantom held up perfectly well on the field. I suppose one of the main reasons I wasn't impressed with the way it was shooting was because it was cold enough that the CO2 cloud out the muzzle made it impossible to see where the balls were going. I haven't had it long enough to have built up the muscle memory to shoot accurately without seeing the ball, so I just couldn't hit what I aimed at.
When chronoing it, I could see where the balls flew. However, this gun was NO MORE ACCURATE than my Sidekick. Phantoms have a great reputation, but when you consider that it only takes 6 inches for accurate shooting, I just prefer pistols.
The internals are in perfect shape. No wear whatsoever. It still chronos well.
Smokey exagerrated on the scratches, in my opinion. The onl mark I found on it anywhere was very slight scuffs on the barrel, underneath the pump handle. This doesn't matter, at least to me, seeing as how it has a black pump handle and you can't see them. Even if you could, you have to actually be looking for them to even notice.
The $275 does include shipping, and as I said in the last post, you get your choice of which tank you want (I may decide to include both if the deal is good enough on a trade).
Feel free to check out my feedback on PPIG (www.munkies.net/ppig) as Murfray60 or on Ebay as Murf425.
As for the price, White Wolf has the absolute lowest prices I've found anywhere. Brand new, this gun would cost, from Joe, with the lowest prices, between $310 and $330, depending what's on sale at the time.

Hope of all this helps. If you have anymore questions feel free to email me.
