Well, it's a little early, but who's going to spring castle, and what equipment are you using and does anyone need anything?

it's definatly not too early to discuss Castle, especially since the defenders slots have already been filled and they are forming the waiting list - this is the earliest I have ever heard of the list filling up.

Not even February and we're talking about the end of April. Ha! :lol: Can't say I'm not excited, though! I just sent my XYZ 'mag to get ano'ed and hopefully it will be back for CC. I'll give you one guess as to what color it will be! I'm going to try to have the backspin working so I can get that paint over the wall! :D

Yes! Go P-mags!!! We need to have a P-mag party. Mine is already purple (factory ano, actually! I got lucky) and ready for action, come April 1st. I'll definitely be using it for Quest. We should form a P-mag squad to make a special team for CC. It will be crazy... and they'll think we are, too... :D

I was lazily perusing the internet just now and started clicking on some random sites in my favorites list. I hit EMR's website and, long story short, there's some new info related to spring castle that's popped up.

Among other things, there is supposed to be a pump-only open play group for Sunday play. Just as I was trying to decide which group I want to tag along with for open play, my questions were answered. To think, I almost wanted to play in the tourney. As an added bonus, all you P-maggers won't just get to sit around and talk about how great your markers are, you can use them as well. Now I want a P-mag :(

Also, if you look a little deeper, all pre-registrants get a free bottle of EMR's "special sauce". Now, if this is indeed Rich's sauce as I think it is (he does most of the Blue's Crew brand foodstuffs, right?), you're gonna have to beat me away with a stick. Do the passholders get free sauce? Pretty please?! With sugar on top??? :wub:

"Best sauce east of the Mississippi" is quite the understatement indeed. -_-


And Rich is really cooking, bottling, labeling and giving away over a thousand bottles of sauce? Man, that's a lot of work. I'll have to thank him next time I see him. And by thank him I mean buy some ribs. Mmmmmm... :D

Due to finances, I may have to skip BGLI and crash the Castle this time around. If I do, I'll be showing all the signs of a man with nothing to lose by attacking the castle with a pair of Splatmasters. Whoooahh!!!

As a side note to anyone interested in the sauce situation...
I took a trip over to Rich's sub shop (it doesn't really have a name as far as I can tell) about two weeks ago and the guy had boxes upon boxes of sauce stacked floor to cieling. I didn't even try counting, but there's a LOT. They didn't have labels on them yet, but boy they looked good! They're big bottles too. I'll guess around 14-16 ounces. He couldn't say whether the passholders could get one or not. Oh, and the BBQ pork was splendid. :D

It looks like spring castle is a go, TrojanMan. I may need time to ascertain if your willingness to charge with me is bravery or insanity, but I'll gladly accept your company either way. Attacking with dual Splats isn't so much a lack of paint as it is just something I've always wanted to try! Maybe the defenders will stop to try and figure it out juuusst long enough to get popped.

I threw down the gauntlet at IPR about reinstating the "Splatmaster Death Squad". No money or prizes to worry about losing - so why not?

When it comes to paintball, I have nothing to prove and nothing to lose. I'll gladly see Drum's dual barrels with 2 Splatmaster barrels of my own. Kinda like taking on the DeathStar - "Red 5 standing by"

I'll surely be packing a semi, however Andy I will glad take the feild of battle along side you with my splatmaster (wish I kept my other one!). Splatty deathsqaud here we go. Also, I already took days off from work for this one, looks like ole Sheazer won't be bugging out for this one! :lol:

Sorry but as much as I love to play pump and push that style of play. This just isn't one of those games I go chu-chunk-pop at. Hell I'm looking at getting a new board just so I can shoot a couple more nickles a second :)

Supression fire works rather well. And if you break a ball first intentionally you can have it act like an apex and shoot around corners, saving a hundred bucks :D
