If any of you have seen or heard of these weirdass grotesque movies called "El Topo" or "The Holy Mountain," or like movies like begotten, or Dune, then this movie is gonna Kick your ass.
Apparently, Marilyn Manson is gonna co star in this ACTUAL movie by Alejandro Jodorowsky about a post nulear war era time where the earths land has been reduced to Desert except for the location of the final actual city. This city, where El Topo was buried(anybody familiar with "El Topo" or "the Holy Mountin" are familiar with this guy, and if you havent seen the movies, you should definitely see them, but their not for those with weak constitutions) is found on an island and everyone who has attempted to reach it has died or failed.
The Children of El Topo, Cain(manson) and Abel(some other prick) were separated at birth because Cain was destined to kill abel, but when Their mothers body is stolen, they have to join together to retrieve it and somehow get back to el topo to bury her with their fathers body, but can they do so without escaping what is destined?

Personally, i thnk this movie is gonna kick ten kinds of ass and im definitely gonna see it after rewatching El topo and holy mountain.

Now, seeing as I couldnt find any pics from Los Hijos, i got some pics from holy mountain and topo, which have been following a pattern of gruesomeness, so hijos will most likely be similar.

I saw Begotten, it was kinda cool and creepy at first but throughout the movie it really started to bore me. The whole part with the newspaper head people was just useless. Come to think of it the entire movie was useless. Still enjoyed it though.

What kind of movies are these, gord? Are they just like completely zany footage that makes no sense, compiled into one movie, like Begotten? I guess not, I mean you described a story and all... Still, looks weird as hell.

El Topo -
The gunfighter El Topo ("The Mole") and his young son ride through a desert to a village, whose inhabitants have been massacred. Bandits are nearby, torturing and killing the survivors. El Topo rescues a woman (Mara), who leads him on a mission to find and defeat the four master gunmen of the desert. Leaving his son with a group of monks, El Topo and Mara complete the mission, accompanied by a mysterious woman in black. The women leave El Topo wounded in the desert, where he is found by a clan of deformed people who take him to the remote cavern where they live. Awakening years later, he goes with a dwarf woman to a nearby town, promising to dig a tunnel through which the cave-dwellers can escape. They find the town run by a vicious sheriff and home to a bizarre religious cult. El Topo's son, now a man, is a monk in the town. The completion of the tunnel leads El Topo, the townspeople, and the cave-dwellers to a bloody and tragic end.


Holy Mountain -
A Christlike figure wanders through bizarre, grotesque scenarios filled with religious and sacrilegious imagery. He meets a mystical guide who introduces him to six wealthy and powerful individuals, each representing a planet in the solar system. These six, along with the protagonist, the guide and the guide's assistant, divest themselves of their worldly goods and form a group of nine who will seek out the Holy Mountain, in order to displace the gods who live there and become immortal.

Los Hijos del topo -
After a nuclear apocalypse, the whole landscape is a desert ruin, except for a small island paradise where El Topo is buried. Thought visible and seemingly accessible, every attempt to enter this island has resulted in disaster. El Topo´s sons, Cain and Abel, were separated as boys because El Topo predicted that Cain would kill Abel. But when evil marauders steal their mothers´s body in an attempt to trick their way into the island, the brothers join forces to deliver their dead mother to be buried with their father. Not only must they overcome an enemy adept at technological witchery, they must overcome the curse that marks their destiny.

today i was at virgin megastore with my friend johnny. and they were showing return of the jedi on the screen. and me and johnny were watching it. and then the ewoks came out and johnny said" little niggaz" so i think this event has relavance to these movies.
