Dude I love the GC! Why must you be (apparently) so judgmental against it, and especially WW! That game's art style rocked and it was very fun to play.
Sir_Crono531 - March 10, 2005 11:02 PM (GMT)
Man, you guys don't know what your missing. 2005 is gonna be one of the greatest years in GC history. So many new titles, so many new games, that aren't kiddy and are finally worth playing (more than there already is). Man I can't wait. LoZ looks so awesome, I'm definately gonna be one of those people outside the mall at 3 a.m. in line waiting for that game when it comes out. By the way, WW was an awesome game, despite the cartoonish style, which I think fit the game perfectly(if you played it you would understand!!).
Moogle Man - March 10, 2005 11:53 PM (GMT)
Yes...Gamecube is good...Legend of Zelda is good...Nintendo is Good....
mmmm....good....
Knives101 - March 11, 2005 12:06 AM (GMT)
 Nintendo is going to end this generation of consoles with a bang. A big sheild weilding mastersword swing heroic BANG! :D For those doubt the cubes power you've obviously never played metroid, and everyone I know personallly who doubted wind waker ate there own words, and a old shoe full of beer.

Rightly said chap! Ok my duckies, if ye listen well ye wouldn't have this problem!! HAHAHAHA
Moogle Man - March 11, 2005 01:14 AM (GMT)
while the Legend of Zelda trailer released at GDC was very impressive, I am more excited about what Satoru Iwata said about Nintendo's plans for the future

 I too am cursed by dial up, but I perservered and got the trailer, and it was worth it. ;)
Knives - March 11, 2005 02:22 AM (GMT)
As K101 said, the GC is going out with not a bang, but a friggin' nuclear explosion. I have decided that I must purchase a Gamecube this year so I can play this game.
And yeah, people who doubted WW ate their words. And then some additional ones.
Modify - March 11, 2005 02:26 AM (GMT)
Is WW the name of the Game?
or is it short term for something else?
( I might get intrested)
I only got an PS2 and N64 which i don't play much <_<
Stoney - March 11, 2005 02:43 AM (GMT)
I have been a devoted Nintendo fan my whole life--ever since I got an NES for Christmas when I was six. They have not failed me yet. I was always one of those few who sent in pre-orders for the hottest new games, and thus recieved special bonuses as package deals. (For example--I have the Limited Edition gold cartridges of both Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask. Zelda ROCKS, ladies and gentlemen.)
I'm glad to find a batch of Nintendodites who haven't given up hope yet. Everywhere else I go, people taunt me with comments like, "LOL teh PSP is gunna pwn ur ass l00z3r", and I am wholly sick of it.
Go, Big N!! :D
P.S.: WW is the abbreviation of Wind Waker, which is the newest Legend of Zelda game and the first to appear on the Gamecube. Does that help, Modify?

LOL, shoot should have known (opps i thought it was wind maker)
PSP will rock, but Nintendo DS is still good (major good thing about Nintendo DS is that it is backward capable with Gameboy advance ;) )

 Isn't The Legend of Zelda: the Four Swords the newest title?
Viva La N!
Lets see, starfox just came out... so did metroid2, and paper mario2... the next Zelda game is on its way, Donkey Kong Jungle beat, Geist(though I'm not sure its GC specific)... so anyother big names I should know about that will be hitting the GC.

The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past was my favorite game out of the entire series. But its sad to say that I'm not as big a Nintendo fan now as I was when I was a kid. I understand now why that is. On concel specific games(games specifically made for the system, like Mario, Crash, and Halo have there own systems) here is the breakdown. Eventhough its not the same for everyone, a majority of the games and peoples ages match. Sport and multiplatform games do not count here).
Nintendo and Sega(now really just Nintendo):Fun silly games. Lovable Characters that look playfull and happy. Normal main age group target-birth till about age 15.
Games:Mario series, Zelda Series, FFCC(ot FFTA, made for younger people), Pokemon, Ect.
Playstation(Sony): Kill, fight, Fly, RPG, Steal. This group focuses on getting teenagers to young adaults(14 to 24) to live their dreams and do what ever they want in a game.
Games:Grand Theft Auto series, Grand Trismo, Final Fantasy series(the real series made for older people), Ect.
Xbox(Microsoft): Games with more strategy, get out and play massive lan parties. Generally late teens(19) till 30 years old.
Games:Halo(what else needs to be said).
PC(IBM, Mac, HP, Compaq, Sony, Dell, Gateway, ect): Any thing goes for any age. Concel games have been made for PC,
Games:Anything, but mostly learning software. There are still alot of great games that are in this category.
Knives101 - March 11, 2005 09:25 AM (GMT)
Dude I'm 22 and I still play the mario games, why cause they fun and innovative, well all cept mario party... that one sucks anyway. Its those concepts that it looks for kiddies so it must be stupid and uninteresting, is a stereo type that I've come to expect from people who don't play the nintendo made games.
KingH - March 11, 2005 09:28 AM (GMT)
yeah, I was a fanatic, kinda *true love* fan of Nintendo since I got a NES when I was 6.
And my first Zelda was A link to the past, wich Ive beaten with 7!! (yeah, that kinda games playin at such an age really gave me a lot *like learning basics of english, 5 years before I learn it in scool :D)
And as the PSONE came and N64 a little later(while I still only had a snes) I thought: "I MUST HAVE A NINTENDO!!! I CAN'T buy another system!" It kinda hurt me inside then. :D .. but ecxept playin damn! biatch! rockin!-rulin! Ocarina of time, that n64 dissapointed me veeery. And I traded my N64+ZeldaOoT+ISS98+2pads with a PSONE with nothin but a chip(after havin enough of zelda it's a quite nice deal, eh? :D)
And now there's a cube with WW flying somewhere through my room :D. WW just couldn't catch me, although I love cell shading graphics! ist still fliying around.. a few weeks ago my cousin has beaten it for me ^^..
And now I was *amazing amazed* of that Zelda2k5!!! yeah! now that cube has a sence and I can save it from this "end of time" ^^..
uhm.. and sorry if there was a lot of MYstory which doesn't interests anyone.. ^^..

Dont get me wrong, but I still play games like that too, and i'm 20. I just don't play them as much now as i did then.
As I said...

I'm saying that it may not be for you, its not for everyone either, but if you have noticed, it is true for most people. Kids want something a little more friendly, so Nintendo with Mario, Pokemon, ect. Teenagers are mad at everything, specifically parents, and there are a few other cercumstances, so PS with Grand Theft Auto(I know it came out on different systems but it didn't do as well as it did with the PS). And basically Xbox involves strategy, but is viewed as older material. PC games are a givme for anything.
If you have a problem with the model provided, I hurd it from someone else and I agree with it greatly. I still like to play Mario Games and Zelda, which I still love The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. It's just that I dont play those games as much now as i did then. I still jump on a Nintendo everyonce in a while to play those or Rogue Squadron.
BrownMan - March 11, 2005 05:18 PM (GMT)
yea I saw this yesterday. friends were over and we were like....whooooaaaa! lol awesome. Ill be getting a NGC for this. :ph43r:
Sir_Crono531 - March 11, 2005 11:39 PM (GMT)
This is what I hate the most though. So many people refer to GC as some kiddy system. Just because the games look cartoony and they hear from other people that it's SPAM. Well those other people are SPAM! They don't know what their missing really. All they think about is graphics. They think graphics are what make a game. Which is total bull*h*t(sorry). People these days are just too stupid to realize that videogames are way much more than that. All they rely on is their sight. Stupid retards. I feel bad for people who instead of buying a GC, bought a PS2 instead. 2005 is gonna be a great year for GC. LoZ is gonna kick some major bootay!

lol you're right, but the cube just HAS the best graphics ^^ lol...
maybe x box has better graphics hardware, but the ingame result is what counts, eh? ^^
Uhm.. yeah.. just wanted to say that those *graphics lovers* don't even look really what has better graphics.. they just look at the hardware and are happy.. lol.. funny jerkeys ^^..
Moogle Man - March 11, 2005 11:57 PM (GMT)
I really don't understand why people still refer GCN as a kiddy system. I have a GCN and something like 15 games, none of which are kiddy (Except maybe SSB:M)

Hey, SSBM is not a kiddy game. Especially if you know how to play it like I play it. SSBM is a kick-@ss game, you just have to play against the right people ;) .
GmMontex03 - March 12, 2005 04:00 AM (GMT)
Eventhough you might have the 15 games that arnt kiddy, a majority of the games made for GC are dirrected towards Kids. I still need to get a GC, i'd like to get one of every system ever made, but i'm gonna start with the modern ones first. The games i am refering to are the ones specifically made for the NGC or ones that use the SP with the GC. But alot of the games that you get multi platform do look good on the NGC, but its hard to argue when the games are only on one system.

Like what?
I'm sorry, but gamecube exclusive kiddy games, I really can't think of.
O yeah, there is a difference between kiddy games and family games
GmMontex03 - March 12, 2005 05:46 AM (GMT)
Well kiddy games/family games. Still the same rating level. most of whats made is not violent and has little language and sexual induendos

That's not really true, Kiddy games and family games are not the same even if the ESRB rating will just give them an "E" for everyone. I mean look at sports games, they are definately not kiddy games but they are games the entire family can play together. But even if you completely disregard my example, I ask again:
"Like what?"
I think you'll actually have a hard time finding lots gamecube exclusive "kiddy" games.
GmMontex03 - March 12, 2005 07:53 AM (GMT)
As I said earlier, EXCLUDING MULTI PLATFORM GAMES...which include most sport games(ESPN, Madden, Need for Speed, EA, ect.) The games on NGC are more specified for younger generations also because of how easy they are to learn and play.

Well, you still haven't listed any GCN exclusive video games that are "kiddy"
As for sports games, there's Mario Tennis, Mario Golf, soon Mario Baseball, also Nintendo Pennant Chase Baseball.
And as before, I ask
"Like what?"
give me a list of examples of GCN exclusive kiddy games
Knives101 - March 12, 2005 08:41 AM (GMT)
 Mario party would be one.. or its just a really crappy game... I'm a big nintendo fan and even I can't sit through one of these games.
Mario lost in time for the snes, you play as luigi searching for mario, with history puzzles and stuff.. there were a select few educational mario games.. course the same can be said even for sonic.
GmMontex03 - March 12, 2005 08:58 AM (GMT)
Nothing was listed under early childhood, but for everyone, kiddie fits. But you have to remember that in my orriginal concept i said that it was from birth till about 15, so there are alot of years here.
I logged on to Nintendo.com and found the titles to several games just off of a simple search.
Does this list answer your question?
14 Disney titles
shark tales
two hot wheels titles
Looney Toons
Mary-Kate and Ashley Sweet 16: Licensed to Drive
Muppet Party Cruise
Nickelodeon Party Blast (GCN)
Some Pokemon titles(can go either way, but many younger kids play it alot more often)
Power Rangers: Dino Thunder
Rugrats: Royal Ransom
Shrek 2, and Shrek: Super Party
SpongeBob SquarePants Movie, The, SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom, SpongeBob SquarePants: Revenge of the Flying Dutchman
Tonka Rescue Patrol
and ofcourse Mario party games.
Sir_Crono531 - March 12, 2005 02:03 PM (GMT)
And out of that whole list only 3-4 are exclusive to the GCN. Almost all of those games are on the other platforms too. Making it so that not all the kiddy games are for GCN. By the way, Spongebob rocks! ;)
GmMontex03 - March 12, 2005 05:03 PM (GMT)
Which ones are multiplatform. Now tell me something, most of those games are surpost to be more apealing to little kids, right? thats what im trying to get at. More appealing to little kids than adults or teenagers.
Knives101 - March 12, 2005 06:05 PM (GMT)
 probably be easier to say which aren't multiplatform' Pokemon, mario party, hotwheels... I think that was it.
