yea this game, im downloading it right now, really big file size i might add, with a whopping 733.57 MB, very big, plus the patch, 28.3 MB, anyways, asides from that, it looks really good, and online play too ( for the PC ) and i was wondering if anyone has played it before

EDIT: by the way, how many megabytes in a gigabyte?

I used to play America's Army quite a bit, and had a lot of fun with it. 730 MBs isnt too bad for a full game, most modern games are now coming on 2 or more CDs, or just coming on DVD. And if you think a 28 MB patch is bad, tribes 2 has a 86 MB one, and even larger is Battlefield1942 at 275 MBs in patches. ;)

I played it, pretty cool game. Didn't it also run on a modified Unreal Tournament engine?

Something like that, I cant remember if it was Unreal or Unreal Tournament, and I dont know what the differences between the who are (if any).

i don't know about the whole unreal tornament 2004 engine, its a possibility but im not sure, and brownman, ur not the only one who needs to get a new videocard, mine has the memory size of 4 MB, because my dad is a cheap S.O.B., and i don't have money to get one myself, so im screwed, i can't even play AA: special forces, let alone Unreal tornament 2004, which sucks really bad because now i can't play the CTRP game, which really just makes my day go down the drain.

Funny enough I actually downloaded this game but never really got into it (have deleted it since), I was kind of put off by the whole made by the us army and the registration they had for it. But although the graphics and realism were impressive I'd rather play ET (Enemy Territory), for me at least it just seems like more fun ........... and is only a 275 meg download, with no registration, you can play from the get go. American Army just seemed to take itself way too seriously for my tastes ..............

Cheers,

Vash
