My freind offered to let me borrow disc 1 since i lost my disc one, at first i played it but only got to the gnome tank probably cause i could not under stand the leveling up system CC had. I think i understand it better, i don't know if i wanna get into the game tho, do you think it would be worth it?

:huh: Yes well worth it. It may not be the best sequel as the story goes, but if you can get past that it truly is a great and enjoyable game, its well scripted and has the a replay feature like ct does, even with a few bonus after you beat the game. It has a compeling story and even a few different directions you can take. Basically its well worth playing for any rpg fan.

Knives 101 do you know how many endings cc has? It just seems like it can have hundreds with all the characters.

:huh: It has about 10 I believe.... maybe a little less, I know it doesn't have as many as CT though(which was about 16 at my last count, but thats dependent on having magus or not), the amount of characters doesn't seem to change any of the endings, and most of the characters don't have any big effect on the endings anyway.

Yes but I heard if you finished the game with specific characters or at a specific time you get different endings. I have gotten like eight I beleive.

:huh: The time of the win definitly matters, its the same as CT in that respect, though I don't remember specific characters mattering in the ending...

Over all, i'd only play cc once or twice, its not worth much more than that in my book. But thats just me.

I'd have to disagree there. I'd say it's well worth it. I mean, there were things that pissed me off about the game, but they only pissed me off because I was using Chrono Trigger as a basis of comparison(except too many SPAMty characters, that pissed me off anyway). Anyway, it really is a good game. I think it just gets a kinda screwed, because it gets compared to the best game ever. Anyway, just try and disregard all the crappy characters. You only need a party of three anyway (make sure to get Glenn).

Anyway, my point is, it's not Chrono Trigger, but it's still a really good game.

I also forgot to add that it has some kick ass music. It has some Chrono Trigger music that's be remade to fit that game. It's pretty cool. I just wish they would've had Schala's theme at the end.

Only cause CT's was mono synthed. CC's was orch. stereo. If CT's was fully redone, with the orgianl beat, notes, rythem, ect, it would be better.

if u think about it the original CT songs are or have been revamped by the CTRP team :D

well this looks like its gonna be a bad @$$ mod and well worth the wait as playing both chrono trigger and chrono cross they both rocked and i bet this one will too.

Well really, this is Chrono Trigger, so it couldn't suck if it was done poorly. I mean it could look like FF7 and rock. lol.

I think it's an excellent game on all counts, and is definitely both worth your money and worthy of the Chrono name.

:huh: I'd give it a 10/10 as a game on its own. But as sequals go I'd give it a 7/10. It wasn't a horrible game by any measure(probably why I beat it enough ot see all the endings.), sure it muddled with the story but that didn't take away from the fun I had just playing it. ;)

It did with me. As a game it would have been ok by its self, but in that series, its really poor. I mean, the first half of the game was fine; then it got all weird. So i'd give it no more than a 6/10, and no less than 3/10.
