In Chrono Cross it says that Kid is Schala's clone but how come Schala has blue hair and Kid has blond? Did one of them use hair dye? ( :lol: Kid with blue hair hahaha) Or was somehting else involved? This question's been bugging me for a while!

Maybe...wait I think I remeber seeing something like Schala dyed her hair because when in Zeal blue hair means more power. This might of just been some fan fiction though.

Yeah, you are right Nick. The Zeal died their hair to distance themself form the earthbound ones.

Yeah, that hair dye bit is completely unfounded, though it does make sense.
On a side note, Kid is not Schala's clone, Kid is Schala in a paralelle dimension from the one in which Schala is trapped inside of Lavos, which means things don't have to be the same. You'll notice in the original dimension, which was said to be directly following the Chrono Trigger game by 40(?) years, Schala has purple hair. You find this out when you fight the Devourer of time, which was created when Schala merged with Lavos.
The game tells you all this stuff, but it took me about 4 times playing through it before I got it all sorted out.

Oh, about your question...
If you're talking about what I think you're talking about (the scary combination lock with the trap door) then this should help you....
If memory serves me, then you'll see that in one of the rooms a soldier posts a piece of paper on the wall in the back of a bunking room. This has the "this weeks combination" on it. You need to go and read that, it will tell you the combination to use.

Staff maker, maybe your thinking of when you first fall down, you just have to go to the door and keep pressing A. If kid is not in your party, then i think she comes there after a while, then beats the soldiers down.
