i think the second one is better for marle and ayla imo, but if i had to pick only one... i think i'd side with the first batch

the 2nd one looks NES type lol and the 1st one is pure, except im going to have to edit the stand and walk sprites on that :unsure:

Not so much NES, they look like the characters from Final Fantasy 3. I've always liked that look, but I think we've all grown accustomed to seeing the Chrono Trigger seven in the first form. If you did it in the second, they may end up seeming like child versions of their original, taller selves.
