Title: Possibility
Description: maybe?

I was just wondering. Actually just stating a few ideas about the remake.
Would it be possible to throw in some Radical Dream aspects. Such as information of Lynx, or about the Islands that Chrono Cross takes place in? Just a thought.

It definentally is interesting.... but I doubt that would actually be added. Since the entire point of the remake is to remake Chrono Trigger, it is highly unlikely that anything that may change the storyline will be added. Even the "Updated Mode" (as mentioned in another post), won't have a changed storyline... but will likely include new mini games, sidequests, and maybe some secret characters.
Changing the storyline is something that has been long since rejected. Changing it, would pretty much... counteract the entire point of calling it a remake project. If one idea fails post some other ideas, and perhaps those will fair better than your prior ones. ;)

Though the ElNido Archipelago was only created after the CT team beating lavos, why? Because in the previous future, in 1999 there wasn't any Chronopolis... Perhaps after the game ends... ;)

I'm a huge CT fan but i've just learned about this project recently. R u guys makin this game with Square's persmission? and what consoles are u planning to put this on...if any, or if ur just keepin it on PC?

MCT, you'll probably never be back to this forum again...but this is a mod for Unreal Tournament 2k3 (2k4 too, right?). It'll be on PC only and you'll only be able to play it if you own a full version of either of those games. About the copyright, I'm pretty sure Squaresoft won't care TOO much...in fact, they should be happy about it. Unfortunately, I've seen it happen before...in the case of Blizzard and the now-forgotten StarCraft: UT which I was eagerly awaiting long ago, the big company became angry with the aspiring mod-makers. It was cancelled indirectly due to that.
For this reason...you may want to try and create a new name for your mod (I'm addressing the crew). Keep it as close to the original for obvious reasons (DUH...lol).
I am not worried about it...but if Squaresoft starts contacting the team about it, I hope we'll be the first to know.

Well, we did some research and it turns out that if you tell Square that you are making a mod they will email you back a pretyped response that says prettymuch 'stop', its much easyer then saying go ahead as long as you dont bla bla bla. According to the Square leagal docs you cant even have a fansite but you don't see then shutting down the stuff. What it boils down to is if you dont bother them, they wont bother you.

That's... very odd. I've looked into a few "rules" concerning such things. As long as you're not taking the original game, and then selling it for your own profit; it should be perfectly legal. According to what I saw, they should consider the remake a "parody" of the original game... thus making it legal. I don't think there is much of a problem... regardless of what Square tell you... perhaps they just don't like the idea of recreating their games. I think we're fine... I just can't see how they can legally say this is wrong. ;)

 I believe its the "we have lawyers and you don't" Clause.
