Ya, ok, i know i am gonna get blasted for this. But you gotta look at the over al picture here, it undid alot of what CT did, which to me sucked. If you really want to hear what i had to say about CC head over to the chronicles forums, i basicly lead a cc riot lol.

I never played it myself, but i've done alot of research on the game. Apparently, the person who drew DBZ no longer drew up models for the characters in this game, none of the old characters were playable, Lucca died, and rather than traveling through time... you travelled into different dimensions/times.

Very peculiar. Though, even though it doesn't nearly match the greatness of Chrono Trigger, it is not THAT bad of a game. They did make some... rather bad twists in the storyline, however. I just can't see how they can kill off Lucca... <_<

:huh: Yes what cC did to the Ct universe was rather... distrcessing. But in its own right it was a good game. THis is the second time squarenix did this the first was with the ff movie, they were both good just they shouldn't have had anything to do with the original series.

CC had a compelling story just wish it didn't have anything to do with the original like killing lucca(DAMN THEM), though she may have devered it... She was the only one out of the original CT crew that new screwing with the time stream would actually kill thousands of possible people and dimensions, this is explained in CC.

CC had a interesting battle system to, specially the final battle with the lavos bit where you have to caste the right spells to get the good ending.

CC didn't suck just shouldn't have been part of CT. ;)

I personally think CC was a great game, but not a great sequel. Coming for an anti-direct-sequels company like Square (at least in the past), I think it was decent as a sequel, but I think the game was good.
It has its strong points, you travel to an alternate dimension where your existance ceased over 10 years ago and everyone's lives are good.
The fact that you can travel between both dimensions gets abit confusing every once in a while, but it's ok.
It might be a little overused, but in the end I liked the real identity of Lynx.

Also, for not being a direct sequel, I *really* liked how near the ending of the game (mostly since you get to the dead sea), everything not only starts getting cleared up, but also being tied to CT.
You can tell me whatever, I just think the game was good.

To me, it looks like they were kinda uncertian what to do. Do they make a sequel to CT or make a new game? It looks like they left it half way in between.

they could have just made a new game like they do with FF's, but they actually linked alot of stuff instead
of course I would've loved another game with Crono and Magus, etc, but I think CC is cool too

Well I really liked it, alot of people I know played the game for a few hours becacsue it didn't link to CT immeatley. The main reason I really liked it was the grafics and music, they were bolth amazing.

Eh, it was decent. It isn't as good as CT. But it's music was Awesome, I have the sound track in my CD player ALL the time. (Three cds in a 60 cd changer player).

(you mean 6 cd player right? 60 is kinda large.) Ya i'm also playing all my RPG sound tracks all the time.

Actually, the story was quite good. Just the way they DELIVERED it was bad. They stuffed you with story at the end of the game. You should have got a balanced amount of clues to the story throughout the game.

I think it was really Good, I enjoyed it alot, and like the true crono said who said it started with CT? You guys really aren't looking at the overall plot of the Chrono universe, CT just happened to take place in that demension with those char's. Thats why CC wasn't really a contuation of CT it just took place in another demension. I think it was great how squaresoft did it, and I wouldn't change a thing about the game. If square was to make another Chrono game I can almost guarantee you it will have nothing to do with CC or CT it may give some small bits and clues that will link the games but other than that I'm sure if they made another one it would take place in some other demension, with a whole new cast, and thats the way it should be done, because thats what the Chrono Universe is about.

when you emulti it on your computer it makes the game look hella better!
and run faster

and it uns so fast with my 3.6g GFX 5900 with 256m

well you can download psx games. But emulating snes game and n64 games I promise you your not stealing profit from anyone, since nintendo no longer makes n64 or snes games they aren't making any profit off of them anymore, why do you think nintendo stopped caring about the emulation? Because there not making money off of the systems anymore anyways. But for PSX I don't think they still make alot of the games for that system anymore, so it may be ok to download them because I really don't think the companies are making money off 80% of those games anymore anyways.

the game i believe was sheer genius at the end of CT i wondered how they would make a sequel when there was so many endings. square of course pulled it off chrono trigger was one timeline, not of many but the only one, untill crono and gang changed the past then there had to be a split where there could have been an alterative, there was another branch for another dimension. every ending became a seperate dimension. i also was amazed at the idea that the bad future could not just dissapear but was embodied in the dead sea. also the idea that the reptites and humans each made an entity to controll their fate. thruought the game you work for the dragons who really are your enemies and you are fighting FATE who is the protector of mankind. only near the very end do you make the right choice and destroy the devourer of time. it's true tho would have liked to see more of the CT gang. i now think if they had made them playable characters it would have taken away from the game. the music and graphics were both amazing over all CT and CC are my fav games of alltime

Sorry, i guess i'm just a loyalist or somerthing, i still think CT was the best, and CC just screwed it up wo much. I mean, the group kills lavos, and in CC, Chrono, Marle, and lucca are all dead. How sick is that? Not to mention Robo as a circit. Just seems too twisted to me. If you have to work so hard to figure out what the game is talking about, and to watch it screw with its prequel, it just isn't worth it to me to focus on it.
