Title: Music Ideas

Pyro_Dragun - March 20, 2004 12:17 AM (GMT)
I think that for the remake, you should have some orchestrated remakes of the chronotrigger songs :). That would be really cool

That sounds like an awesome idea!

P.S. - Check out the music section under "News".

Wow... new people really have to look around a bit before posting stuff. Anyway, welcome to the Chrono Trigger Remake project, and I hope no offense was taken!

Well Galaxy if you want to help there are many different places you can get tutorials.

Unreal Developer Network: www.udn.epicgames.com

Architectonic: www.planetunreal.com/architectonic

And of couse Unreal 2004 Special Edition comes with hours of tutorials, all on video. We would love for you to help.

I make music in Fruityloops, and as of late, have become heavily obsessed with making my own versions of Chrono Trigger's famous chords. I wish I could post a link, but being on a 20kbit connection hurts quite a bit for uploading...and I'm completely new to web authoring.

Currently, I just purchased UT2k4 SE, and I LOVE all of the tutorials that come with it (I got a lot of them through 3dbuzz.com's site on my friend's cable connection). I'm excited to learning some more advanced techniques like working in Maya 6 PLE and UPaint (unfortunately, though, UPaint has been a pain in the ass and while I've tried many things, including patches, it won't open up skinning files. hmph!).

Ok, now I'm rambling; what I was saying is that I could try and remix some of the tunes (in a bit more electronica flavor with Fruity). Perhaps you guys could try and contact me sometime? I'll try and do something about my inferior website skills so you can preview a bit of my music.

By the way! An excellent way to listen to CT music is using what is called an "SPC" player, which is a sound format for SNES music. Then you go download the songs from Zophar's Domain, and whalla! Currently I have a WinAmp plugin that works great.

My talents are a bit limited these days, unfortunately, because I do have quite the life off of my PC as well. :) But I'd be willing to try and help in little ways I can, guys! If anyone on the team knows about Fruityloops, I'd like to try and bounce ideas or something. Thanks!

Hmm , Before Anyone Should Start Making Music For The GAme , You better consider having the base coded , or else people wont join up. I made Useless websites in the past and wasting my time isnt a good thing. It Makes People Bang Their heads in the wall and chew wood.

We always say that this will take time, the code will be done last because we might need to change the engine in the future...
We know that everyone want hard facts and something to actually play and feel before trust in us enough to join the project, but we don't work like that. We want to have something consistent and fun to release as a demo, and not something exclusively done to atract moders.

Writing the music for this project helps me pass the time. They're good arrangement/composition exercises as well. So I don't think I'm wasting my time, even if the project doesn't go through.

I'm having fun.

Didnt See it that way D:
I tried to make music once , it turned out like 5 years old doing songs with their mouths and a guy with mental dis-order trying to play battery on caseroles.
