Title: Yamasaki-Holic Manifesto?
savethewtc - January 1, 2003 05:25 PM (GMT)
I was thinking what if we all, the people who support Yamasaki's design/ the original Twin Towers, started the Yamasaki-Holic Manifesto? This would be a real long document from thousands of contributors aroung the world making this document supporting and show reasons why we support the Towers. What do you guys think? Is it worth a shot? We could then later print or send it my e-mail to the LMDC, Pataki and other groups.

That could be used in favor for Yamasaki-Holics, but it an argument could be that these are old landmarks. The WTC was famous and a world wide symbol, but I don't think it gained alot credibility regarding it's landmark status. We all know the WTC lived a short life compared to other landmarks which explains the urgency to restore older landmarks.

This idea could be brought up later, as if we are assured two Towers of occupied office space, then this could be of talk. It would be some sort of distraction and may be misinterpreted that the whole general rebuilding community supports this. My thanks to Lou Epstein, for kicking me back to reality, just getting ahead of myself here!

Sounds like a decent idea to me but not sure exactly what you mean.Do you mean a petition of sorts?I mean i would love to see the Yamasaki designs re-used so if its a petition you're suggesting then yes i'm all for it.I'm not sure what you mean by manifesto though.

I think that would be a good idea.

It's sort of like a petition but without signatures, but rather than people submitting signatures, people state why they want the Towers rebuilt. More like a declaration than a petition.
