Bloomberg along with the NY Times continue to take shots at the WTC and Lower Manhattan in order to make money in their own new buildings. I think it's selfish on both Bloomberg and the NY Times, especially Bloomberg who is the mayor and is supposely here to help the city.
Bloomberg simply has his head up his @$$ to be making comments like that. Everyone knows the WTC turned lower manhattan from a desolate, essentially waste land to a thriving region which became the economic nerve center of the world.
On top of that, the strike against the twins wasn't completely strategic, it was also symbolic, if not even more so. Blooberging thinking it was pruly strategic is pure bull. Those towers actually became more well-known than even the statue of liberty.
Everyone knows that Al-Queda likes to hit symbolic targets, and targets from which they can send a message. As proven by the WTC, Pentagon, The Embassies, the USS Cole and the barracks in Saudi Arabia.
