Chorus Brawl

On the following Thursday, it was my mom’s birthday and my friends & I went to my sister Amanda’s school to see her perform in a chorus concert. My mom saw us and said that she was glad we could come. I played a little bit of my Gameboy and watched the performance.
As I watched, I saw my first girlfriend Lauren. I couldn’t keep my eyes off of her. I saw something out of the corner of my eye and sent my Spinarak to investigate. He came running back and told me that the Brotherhood Of Evil Mutants were hiding and planning to attack. I realized that the thing I saw was Toad’s tongue. I alerted my friends telepathically and got ready.
Suddenly, the ground started shaking and people started to panic. I saw Avalanche laughing and got angrier. Blob was about to do a belly flop onto Lauren & Amanda and I removed my glasses and pushed them out of the way as Blob fell. I felt like an Arbok getting a full on Body Slam by a Snorlax and I couldn’t breath. I grabbed some of my Poké Balls, extended my arm out as far as I could and threw them.
“CHARIZARD! SNORLAX! ONIX! KANGASKAHN! AERODACTYL! SKARMORY!” they said when they came out of their Poké Balls.
I told them to get Blob off of me telepathically and they did. I got up, caught my breath and suited up. So did my friends. I told Russell that Blob was afraid of big birds, since I read his mind, and Russell created a big falcon out of pure flame that flew at Blob. Blob ran until Michelle slipped him up by icing the floor and sent him flying out the door. Pyro was gonna try to fry the people and Charlene went tsunami on his butt with help from Bonnie Jo’s Poliwhirl, Starmie, Blastoise, and Mantine. Tori, Rob, Aubrey, Nicole, Adam, Jack & David fought Avalanche and they clobbered him. Artavius & Allie double teamed Toad by turning into iron and allowing Fesha to electrocute him after his tongue had wrapped around Artavius & Allie. Paul, Erin, Emily & Chris fought Forearm and they knocked him out cold. The Brotherhood retreated and my friends & I called our Pokémon back. My parents walked up to my friends & I and said that they were very proud of us for choosing to use our mutant powers to protect them.
“How did you know that we were mutants?” Tori asked.
“Your dad called & told us that Bobby had come over to recruit you to join his mutant team. Then we remembered that Bobby’s brother Chris told us about the powerful beam of light that shot out of his eyes and his display of psychic abilities.” my mom explained.
We understood and went to the school’s chorus room. I had just drunk a can of soda when I saw Lauren & she saw me. She was mega shocked to see me. I just smiled and had Squirtle & Bulbasaur come out. Lauren walked up to me and we started talking. She said that she thought I’d never come and I told her I came for my mom because it was her 42nd birthday primarily but to also see her. She told me that she was still single and I told her about my relationships after ours. Including the three Internet ones. I told her about Brandon giving me his Pokémon and she thought it was cool. She asked me how many Pokémon I now had and her eyes widened when I told her I had 112 different species.
“What are you doing now? Besides capturing & training Pokémon I mean.” Lauren asked.
“I was part of an elite rescue team to protect Mariner Bay last year. So were Bonnie Jo, David and Fesha. We hired by the government along with six other people were for our unique skills & talents. There was a firefighter, a water animal trainer, a stunt pilot, an extreme sports athlete, a paramedic, and her brother. The ten of us were reunited when an enemy we thought was dead came back. We beat her with help from some friends, including Russell & Artavius.” I said.
Then I hugged Lauren for old time sake. We talked some more and we went home.
A few days later, I couldn’t stop thinking about Lauren and realized that I was falling for her all over again.
