Burning From Both Ends
Tommy tried to power down again but nothing happened. He said that his Brachio Morpher & Dino Gem might have been remolecularized when Trent encased him in the amber. Conner didn’t understand but Hayley said that Tommy was stuck. I felt filled with immense rage because Tommy was my hero and now I wouldn’t be able to see his face again. He was not only my hero, but he was my friend and a truly great one at that. It was thanks to him that I was achieving yet another one of my dreams. The chance to command a Dinozord. Tommy would told me about his adventures with the original team and the fun they had together. I grew so angry that I accidentally extended my Adamantium claws & spikes when I saw the Dino Stegazord attacking Reefside on the monitor. Tommy told us to go and that he’d catch up. We activated our morphers, hopped onto our Raptor Riders and went to stop Trent.
When we got there, we blasted the Dino Stegazord with our ThunderMax Blasters to get his attention. We told him to stop attacking and he refused. We called for the Brachiosaurus and formed the Thundersaurus Megazord Scissors Mode. Trent used his Pterano Sword and drew chains that shot out of the Stegazord and tied us up. We called for some help and the Pachycephalosaurus & Dimetrodon arrived. We thought we were gonna get freed until two gigantic barrels appeared around the two zords and Trent said they’d look great in his collection. He blasted us and then disappeared.
When we got back to the Dino Cave, we took our helmets off and looked at the monitors. Trent had placed the two Dinozords in a force field that couldn’t be penetrated because of these weird starfish-like gizmos on them. We all wanted to destroy Trent and Tommy told us that he wouldn’t be the man he was today if his friends had given up on him. We asked what we should do and Tommy suggested we go home and keep a low profile. We understood and went home.
Later that night, I was so angry that I couldn’t sleep. I went to my workshop and added a pteranodon named Pterano Wing to the Prehistoricbots’ roster. I decided to make him able to combine with the first seven and designed him. I felt really tired and went back to bed.
The next morning, I woke up and made breakfast. I broke open a few dozen eggs and fried them. Kevin asked if I could give him a ride to school on my way to the Wind Ninja Academy and I said I could as he sat down & I served him his breakfast. Then we hopped into my son Wild Rescue of the Lightspeedbots and left to take Kevin to school.
When we got there, Ethan, Kira & Sebastian had just talked with Ms. Randell and were running to talk to Conner. Kevin & I jumped out of Wild Rescue and joined them. Conner told us about how Trent ambushed him, via his Dino Gem’s power which was camouflage, and Zeltrax & a monster called Insectollite zapped Trent. Insectollite’s beam apparently backfired and freed Trent of the White Gem’s power. We were a bit skeptical and started talking to Trent. Trent said he was sorry for what he did and asked if there was anything he could do to prove it. Ethan suggested he give us back our Dinozords and he said he will with a peace offering. He told us to meet him at the warehouse and he’d give them to us. We agreed and went on with the rest of our day though something in my gut told me not to trust him. I told Aubrey during my lunch break.
When the time came, we activated our morphers, hopped onto our Raptor Cycles and gave Tommy a ride. Trent was waiting for us by something covered with a sheet and we got off our bikes. Conner said that we see no zords and Trent said he wanted to give us the peace offering first as he pulled back the sheet. It was a Dino ATV and it was black. Ethan wanted to be the first to try it but Tommy suggested that he go first. He got on and mentioned a twelve-stroke engine. Trent said it had one and Tommy said they don’t make twelve-stroke engines. Trent said that Mesogog didn’t make monsters that turn people good and he kicked something in the back of the Dino ATV as my spider-sense went off. Tommy said it was a trap as the Dino ATV sped off like a wild animal and Trent whistled. A white Dino ATV rolled up and he transformed as he jumped onto it.
We were about to go after him when Insectollite & a bunch of Tyrannodrones appeared. Insectollite was part centipede, part pansy & part satellite. We mounted our Raptor Cycles and started blasting away at the Tyrannodrones. Things were going great until Insectollite zapped our Raptor Cycles and caused us to fly off of them. We regrouped around Conner and Insectollite mocked us. We got up and knew what we had to do.
“Super Dino Mode!” we yelled.
The white parts of our suits went 3-D & stuff and we attacked Insectollite & the Tyrannodrones. We defeated the Tyrannodrones and were about to attack Insectollite when Tommy came roaring in on his new Dino ATV. He blasted Insectollite and Trent arrived too. He dissed us and told us to say goodbye to our zords. He bolted and Insectollite did the same.
After we got back to the Dino Cave, we started talking about how Trent made a deal with Mesogog to trick us. Tommy said that if Trent was playing with both ends of the war, and if he sided with Mesogog, he was gonna get burned. Hayley came up to us and said if we could get Insectollite to his Energy Buster on those starfish things, we might be able to free the zords.
We decided to lure Trent out into the open because we knew that Mesogog wasn’t happy that we weren’t destroyed, after Hayley suggested we use Trent as bait. We went back to the warehouse and called Trent’s name. He appeared and we told him that we wanted to make a deal with him since he made a deal with Mesogog. He refused and attacked us. Then he disappeared.
Seconds later, Hayley contacted us and said that Insectollite was back & on the other side of the warehouse. We attacked him with our ThunderMax Sabers & Tommy’s Brachio Staff and he blasted us. Tommy used his Brachio Staff to create an Energy Orb and we used our Power Weapons to beat up Insectollite. We captured him and loaded him onto the Dino ATV. We hopped onto our Raptor Riders and dashed to where Trent left our Dinozords.
When we got there later that night, Trent destroyed Insectollite. He also destroyed the barrels that our zords were in and we were afraid that we lost them. The smoke cleared and they were okay. But something was different and we noticed it when Trent had the Dino Stegazord appear. The two zords replaced the Pteranodon’s legs as arms and formed the Dino Stegazord Puncher Saw Mode. He said that the starfish were used to reprogram the two zords to obey him.
We summoned our zords and formed the Thundersaurus Megazord. The Dino Stegazord hit us with a Pachycephalo Rapid Punch & a Dimetro Blade Slice which caused the Megazord to fall. He was about to attack us even more when Insectollite appeared and attacked Trent from behind. Trent was obviously annoyed and destroyed Insectollite with a Pterano Winger Strike. Trent bolted again and we went back to the Dino Cave.
An hour later, Kira said Trent had some nerve as we all rested together. Hayley said that she never gives up and told us that our bikes were fixed. She also mentioned that she reprogrammed the Dino ATV so it wouldn’t give Tommy anymore trouble. Tommy thanked her and said that the real battle lied ahead. Then we all went home feeling extremely exhausted.
