Leader Of The Whack
On the following Monday, I had been teaching Tommy’s classes as Tommy, via my Animorph abilities, ever since Trent fossilized him. I’d take breaks between classes to demorph & remorph into Tommy so I wouldn’t go over the two hour time limit I had. Conner, Kevin, Kira, Ethan & Sebastian were very impressed at how well I taught the classes and I told them that it was all thanks to the fact that I was a teacher at the Wind Ninja Academy telepathically.
One day, the seven of us were hanging out in the Dino Cave. Hayley was running scans on Tommy. Conner was practicing with a small soccer ball. Kira was playing her guitar. Aubrey was playing with her Bulbasaur named Seedling. Sebastian was doing some basketball dribbling. Kevin was feeding his Electrike named Mane. Ethan was playing a computer game. And I was doing Dinozord combination scenarios using the Pteranodon Dinozord for when Trent finally joins the team.
Ethan had just told Hayley that he was one level away from breaking his all-time record when Conner tossed the soccer ball onto the computer. The game shut off and Ethan & Conner started arguing. They made reference to Kira being seen at a fashion show & Sebastian making a great meal after Conner told Ethan to try spending time outside & Ethan said he would when Conner checks out a library. Kira got a bit steamed and I couldn’t blame her. Ethan asked Hayley if she found a way to de-fossilize Tommy yet and she said she hadn’t yet because she hadn’t found an energy source that can safely free break the amber’s molecular bonds.
Just then, the computer beeped and we looked at what was happening. Hayley said she was picking up a strange energy reading in the forest and Conner said we’d check it out. Then we left.
When we got to where the energy reading was, we saw Cassidy, Devin & Trent. Trent asked us what we were doing there and Conner said he might ask him the same question. Conner said he hadn’t seen Trent in a while and Ethan said we really needed to catch up. Kira told them that now wasn’t the time and we were about to check out the smoking rock where the energy was coming from when my spider-sense went off.
We looked around and saw Tyrannodrones & a monster called Rojobot appear. Rojobot told his that he wasn’t sure if he was supposed to let us look at the rock and Cassidy & Devin bolted out of there. Conner asked Trent whose side he was on today and Trent asked if we wanted his help or not. Rojobot acted like a coward and he hid behind a tree as the Tyrannodrones attacked us. We started fighting them and I had Hitmonlee, Hitmonchan Machoke & Primeape come out to even the odds. Rojobot got near the rock and something weird happened to him. He went from being a coward to a fight hungry brute. He attacked Conner and we knew what we had to do.
“Dino Thunder, Power Up!” we yelled to activate our Ranger powers.
We continued fighting the Tyrannodrones and I noticed that Trent hadn’t activated his Ranger powers but he was fighting the Tyrannodrones anyway. I sensed something weird happening as I sent a Tyrannodrone flying 25ft away. Ethan started fighting like he could beat anyone that he faced. Conner kicked Rojobot and Rojobot & the remaining Tyrannodrones retreated.
We powered down and Conner said some things I never thought I’d hear him say. Ethan was acting all pumped up and Kira was looking at her nails. Hayley contacted us and told us to return to the Dino Cave because she had news about the space rock.
When we got back to the Dino Cave, Hayley told us that the rock was a meteor fragment and Conner said it must have broken off during an intergalactic collision. Those very words shocked me more than an Electric-Type Pokémon’s electric attacks. Hayley said she was afraid that being near the meteor might have caused some strange side effects. She asked us if we were okay and Aubrey, Kevin & I were. Kira said she had to get home to soak her fingers in some aloe while Ethan said he had to get to a gym. Conner said he wanted to see a documentary about the pyramids and Sebastian said he was gonna make a casserole for his family. Then we all went home.
The next day, I woke up and felt like I had slept for days. Aubrey & Kevin appeared to be acting as normal as two human-born mutants could. Even Hitmonlee, Primeape, Hitmonchan & Machoke seemed to be doing fine as they sparred against each other out back. Aubrey, Kevin & I went to the Dino Cave and saw that our teammates were definitely effected by the meteorite’s radiation.
Ethan was lifting dumbbells and Hayley asked him if he was feeling okay as Conner arrived holding some books and talking about the weather. Kira also arrived and she was wearing a yellow dress & holding shopping backs. Sebastian was wearing an apron and holding a pot full of something that smelled somewhat tasty. Hayley said there were definitely some side effects from us being exposed to the meteor and that we needed to destroy it so we could return to normal. Ethan said he could kick Mesogog’s butt himself after Conner said it was highly improbable.
The computer beeped again and we saw Rojobot attacking people at the plaza. We activated our Dino Morphers and went to fight Rojobot.
When we got there, Conner suggested we devise an attack strategy and Ethan said we should crush them. Kira complained about her Ranger suit and Sebastian said we should make it quick because he had a pie in the oven. Rojobot blasted Conner and Conner asked Kira to help him up. She complained about getting helmet hair as Rojobot blasted the rest of us. He retreated and my four human friends walked off in different directions while Aubrey, Kevin & I went to Hayley’s Cyberspace.
An hour later, I was wiping down the counters when I spotted Devin walk in dressed like John Travolta in “Saturday Night Fever” and Cassidy dressed like a geeky girl. It was obvious that the meteorite effected them too. Devin started dancing on the stage as Kira arrived in a new dress that I thought was kind of cool. Ethan was doing some serious push-ups and Conner was reading a biography. Sebastian was concocting a new type of smoothie when our Dino Bracelets beeped.
My four human friends complained after we got to the Dino Cave and listened to what Hayley had to say. Hayley told us that she might have found a way to de-fossilize Tommy. She said that the meteor had released everyone’s inner self and that was why they were acting weird. Conner agreed and said that if she could harness the meteor’s power, she could free Tommy from the inside out. He also said he took offense to being called weird.
Hayley said that we weren’t acting weird. The rock was allowing Conner, Sebastian, Kira & Ethan to show a side of themselves that they usually don’t show. She explained that there’s a side of Conner that’s intelligent & studious while Ethan had a part of him that was athletic & competitive. Sebastian’s part was being a master chef and Kira’s was being a shopaholic, valley girl. Kira pointed out that that’s why Trent helped us when we first fought Rojobot & the Tyrannodrones. Because there was a part of him that’s really good.
“Hayley, how come Kevin, Aubrey & I weren’t effected like the others???” I asked as I pointed to them.
“I think your mutant powers shielded you from the meteor’s radiation and that’s why you’re acting like nothing happened. You said it yourself that you had tiny bits of radioactive spider venom coursing through your veins that have only effected you genetically at certain times in your life, Bobby.” Hayley said.
“Good point. Thanks.” I said.
Ethan didn’t seem to understand any of what was just said and Hayley told him he shouldn’t have to. She told us we have to work as a team and Conner said it sounded logical. The computer beeped yet again and we knew we had to defeat Rojobot. Conner & the others dropped their stuff and we activated our morphers.
Conner used his ThunderMax Blaster to get Rojobot’s attention and then struck him with his ThunderMax Saber before kicking him. Kira & Ethan jumped off of Conner’s shoulders and did a double team kick to Rojobot. I extended my Adamantium claws and slashed him while Kevin did a diving punch. Aubrey & Sebastian did spin kicks and we all blasted Rojobot with our ThunderMax Blasters.
We turned away from Rojobot but he blasted us. We had no choice and we activated Super Dino Modes. We ran past Rojobot’s blasts and we kicked his butt as a team. We combined our weapons into the Z-Rex Blaster and defeated Rojobot.
Suddenly, Rojobot grew and we called for the Dinozords. The Brachiosaurus arrived and the Tyrannosaurus, Pterodactyl, Allosaurus, Iguanodon, Kentrosaurus, Dilophosaurus & Triceratops came out. We had them form the Thundersaurus Megazord and called for the Ankylosaurus to form Dual Drill Mode after it replaced the Triceratops as the right arm.
Rojobot fired lasers at us but we used the Ankylosaurus’ spinning back to deflect the blasts. Rojobot said he’d catch us on the flipside and started running but he ran into a roadblock in the form of Trent & the Dino Stegazord. The Dino Stegazord fired the Stegazord Stinger at Rojobot and we charged up the two Dinozords’ tails. We hit Rojobot with a Double Drill Attack and destroyed him. Then Trent & the Dino Stegazord left and we hopped onto our Raptor Cycles to get to the meteor in the woods.
When we got there, we charged up our Raptor Cycles’ lasers and blasted the meteor. We dismounted our Raptor Cycles and powered down. We checked out the resulting crater and Ethan picked up a large piece. He said the computers should still have residual powers that could free Tommy and Conner asked how he knew that stuff. Ethan dissed Conner and we all realized that everyone was back to normal. Kira was relieved because she didn’t want to do the same kind of shopping she did again. Then we headed back to the Dino Cave.
When we got there, we handed Hayley the meteor fragment that we took. Kira asked if the meteor might help counter the effects of the White Dino Gem and Hayley said we should try freeing Tommy first as she put the fragment into the De-Fossilizer. Hayley switched it on and the energy beams started releasing Tommy.
It overheated and Kira looked at the meteor fragment. It was fried and Conner pointed out that Tommy was alive & free. Tommy told us we did a great job and he tried to power down. Nothing happened. He tried again and nothing happened. We all became worried & confused.
