The movie is based on a true story about the USA's miraculous victory over Russia at the 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid, New York. The movie was filled with a lot of emotions and some comedy. Kurt Russell played Herb Brooks the coach of the team. Herb himself died this past summer and never got to see the finishing result of the movie. I admit that I shed some tears because it was so amazing. I just wish I had been alive when it actually happened. But I was in the works because my parents were engaged then. The DVD also featured a meeting with Kurt Russell, Herb himself & the writers in pre-production to talk about what went on back then. It also had some really good outtakes. A+
Didn't see the movie, but I heard it was very good. The problem with a movie like this is that when a bigger movie comes out, it tends to take all the attention away from smaller ones. This one had an okay release date, but it should've been released farther away from The Passion Of The Christ and Dawn Of The Dead.
Okay. They wanted to release it in February because it had been 24 years since that event took place.
Cool I hope to see it myself soon.
