Talk about the lovely Louisiana Native here.

Ville Valo - May 11, 2004 05:23 PM (GMT)
You know how I think about her B.

But... I once loved her music because it came from her heart... The music these days doesn't come from her Heart... Except for: "Everytime" (or was it "Everything"???) that song does come from her heart

Purple Ranger 14 - May 12, 2004 04:55 AM (GMT)
Everytime. Her latest single in which Stephen Dorf from Blade is in. Just remember not to bash her because I was picked on throughout high school for being a fan.

Ville Valo - May 12, 2004 05:38 AM (GMT)
Old news B. and yes, I won't bash her

Purple Ranger 14 - May 12, 2004 05:52 AM (GMT)
My fave song by her is "I Will Be There" from the first album.

Britney: Stands by decision to do reality show

Britney Spears says she knows making a reality show with husband Kevin Federline is a risk.

The pregnant singer admits their initial reaction was to shun the proposal to allow cameras into their lives to film Britney And Kevin: Chaotic.

However, she maintains it is the right decision and the right time to give the world exclusive access to her marriage reports IMDb.com.

She said: "Doing a documentary series seemed like the last thing I would do. Having our series be compared to all the 'reality shows' on television right now and putting ourselves out there seemed crazy, but that is exactly when I realised I should do it.

"The craziest things I've ever done have been for the best. The incentive behind me doing this series wasn't for my career. So much happened last year much too fast and I really wanted to take advantage of this opportunity to reflect on all of it. It's like my own therapy."

CHURCH: 'LEAVE SPEARS ALONE'
Teen soprano CHARLOTTE CHURCH has urged the world's media to leave BRITNEY SPEARS alone, so she can enjoy her new marriage and pregnancy in peace.
Spears has been criticised for rushing into marriage with KEVIN FEDERLINE after only dating for five months, and getting pregnant so soon after, despite her husband already parenting two children - KORI and KALEB, in the past few years.
Church says, "Good luck to her. She's had a hard enough time, just leave her be.
"If she wants to be a mum and retire then, f**king hell, I mean, she entertained us for so long, she was lush, leave her be.
"Everything I see of her in the press, I think, 'That's just someone being normal.'"

Britney Breaks Into Tears After Seeing Her Baby
Britney Spears broke down in tears after seeing an image of her baby for the first time.
The Toxic superstar - who is expecting to give birth in the Autumn (05) - has been battling "horrible" morning sickness and temperamental mood swings since announcing her pregnancy in April (05).
But she was overcome with emotion after seeing the baby's first ultra-sound scan.
The 23-year-old says, "You can't really say anything. I was emotional. I think it's the best feeling in the world. I think it brings out a pure side of you."
Spears and husband Kevin Federline are currently starring in their own six-episode US reality TV series Britney and Kevin: Chaotic.

BULGE IN NEW VIDEO
BRITNEY SPEARS looks like a proud mum-to-be in her new video SOMEDAY (I WILL UNDERSTAND) as she shows off her bulging belly.

The pop superstar appears wearing a nightgown in the black and white promo for the song she wrote shortly before discovering she was pregnant.

In the video, Spears cradles her stomach while she sings, "Someday I will understand in God's own plan, and what he's done to me. Oh, but maybe someday I will breathe, and I'll finally see, I'll see it all in my baby."

Britney's baby is due in October (05).

Could Britney Be Having Twins?
Are twins on the way for Britney Spears and hubby Kevin Federline? Judging by the size of Brit's bump, that could well be the case - even her sources reckon her speedy weight gain is a sign that two mini-Federlines are on the way. One source said: 'Britney is only supposed to be five months along, but she already looks like she's gained nearly all the weight she is supposed to have throughout her pregnancy.' But could the bigger bump just be a result of Britney's extra eating habits? In May, she stated how much she enjoyed eating for two and said: `It's so much fun; I get to eat lots and lots!' But her recent musings over the sex of the baby have also sparked rumours that it could be twins. Her source added: `Lately, they've been reluctant to talk about whether Brit might be expecting a boy or a girl. Instead, they cryptically give the answer that she's expecting a boy one week, and a girl the next.' And the 23-year-old pop princess's shopping behaviour has been equally puzzling - she's been buying baby clothes for boys and girls. Kevin already has two children with his ex, Shar Jackson, so we wonder how he feels about all this. According to another source, he might be more than a little anxious: `Kevin would probably freak over double duty, but Britney would be over the moon!'

Britney Has Ritzy Plans For Baby's Birth
Special delivery
Britney Spears' wedding was a low-rent affair, but it looks like she's putting on the ritz when it comes to giving birth.

The singer has selected a luxurious room in a Scottsdale, Arizona hospital where she'll have her baby, according to a report, and has made sure the rooms on both sides will remain vacant.

"Britney wants white and yellow roses in the room when she gets there," a source told the upcoming issue of the Star.

What's more, "Britney wants all the nurses serving her to be given background checks." The staff will reportedly be interrogated by both hospital staff and Spears' mom. And, of course, there'll be catered food.

The_Crow - July 1, 2005 07:08 PM (GMT)
man, she REALLY is letting thing's go up to her head I mean.

First wanting to pose nude while being pregnant in some magazine (no joke, read it in a newspaper today) and now this?

MAN, she is letting this fame and stardom and Diva act go all the way up into her blond hair...

Purple Ranger 14 - July 1, 2005 08:22 PM (GMT)

And I know that Demi Moore did that once, all I am saying is that Britney is also going to do it and I am not joking or bashing her on that

Scottsdale Healthcare To Deliver Britney's Baby
"It's news to us," was the official response Wednesday from Scottsdale Healthcare to reports that pregnant pop diva Britney Spears had chosen to give birth at a Scottsdale hospital.
The health care provider operates the only two maternity units in Scottsdale, one at Osborn Road and Drinkwater Boulevard, and one at Shea Boulevard and 90th Street. Both have luxurious birthing suites with private rooms and spa services.
Spokesman Keith Jones said media phone calls have been mounting for two days since entertainment Web sites started carrying the unconfirmed story.
"Initially, a fellow called saying he was phoning Miami hospitals, too," Jones said.
Spears' purported plans for Scottsdale come amidst tabloid fodder that Spears is having twins, and that she's in talks with Vanity Fair to pose pregnant and nude, as Demi Moore did in 1991.
"Britney Spears could go anywhere in the world to have her baby. Why would she choose to come to Scottsdale in the heat?" asked Felicia Thomas, public relations specialist for Scottsdale Healthcare, who also fielded an inquiry last week from a tabloid.
There would be a place for Kevin Federline to stay bedside along with his pop star bride. Rooms are equipped with CD and DVD players.
And Spears could enjoy the facility's optional bedside services, including manicures and pedicures.

SPEARS' LUXURIOUS LABOUR

Pregnant pop star BRITNEY SPEARS is planning to a luxurious labour when she gives birth to her first child in three months time.

The singer has reserved a plush room in a hospital in Scottsdale, Arizona as well as all adjacent rooms to ensure her moans and groans cannot be heard by nosy passers-by.

A source tells Star magazine,"Britney wants white and yellow roses in the room when she gets there.

"Britney wants all the nurses serving her to be given background checks."

Spears denies she will pose nude for Elle
Pregnant pop star Britney Spears will be the October cover girl for Elle magazine, but will not follow actress Demi Moore's footsteps and pose nude.
Spears reportedly was planning to copy Moore's famous fleshy Vanity Fair cover when Moore was pregnant in 1991, World Entertainment News Network reported.
However, a spokeswoman told the New York Post's PageSix while Spears will be Elle's October cover girl, Spears "will be keeping all of her clothes on."

Britney Spears Gives to Cancer Cause
Monday Jul 11, 2005 5:40pm EST
By Stephen M. Silverman
CREDIT: SPLASH NEWS
Britney Spears has made a $50,000 donation to Gilda's Club Worldwide, whose network of free cancer support communities throughout North America helps patients with the disease, the organization has announced.
"When children have cancer, or when their parents or siblings have the disease, there are few places they can turn to for support," Spears – whose first child with husband Kevin Federline is due later this year – says in a statement.
"Gilda's Club is one of those places. I passionately believe in helping children in need, and so I am very happy to make this gift to help children learn they can cope with what can be a terrible and devastating experience for them," adds Spears, 23.
The money will go directly to the Super Days program at Gilda's Clubs – named after Gilda Radner, the Saturday Night Live comedian who died of ovarian cancer in 1989, at age 42. Super Days are daylong programs of arts, crafts, and other activities that support children who are living with cancer to help them understand the disease and to express their thoughts, feelings, fears and questions about it.
"We are very grateful to Britney Spears for her most generous gift," said Angelica Berrie, chairperson of Gilda's Club Worldwide. "It will improve the lives of hundreds of children who are living with cancer."

'Mickey Mouse Club: The Best of Britney, Justin & Christina'
Reviewed by Chris Willman
Why? Because we lick you! Er, like you! The early '90s introduced as Mouseketeers the cherubs who would in a few years more directly impact America's youth with songs like ''Dirrty,'' ''I'm a Slave 4 U,'' ''Rock Your Body,'' and ''All Day Long I Dream About Sex.'' Watching four shows' worth of the formerly wholesome Spears, Timberlake, and Aguilera on "Mickey Mouse Club: The Best of Britney, Justin & Christina" -- before the voice and chest changes, before the piercings -- you realize you're being afforded a fascinating glimpse of Satan's own sleeper cell.
Spears, especially, is every bit as scarily camera-solicitous in her pubescent years as she is on "Chaotic." Fans of JC Chasez, Keri Russell, and Ryan Gosling will have to settle for seeing them sing along to the hip-hopped-up theme song. An earnest interview segment about teen depression, in which a gay lad talks about nearly being driven suicidal by mom's rejection, further drives home the fact that this was not your Grandpa Cubby's Club.
EXTRAS An audio commentary offers the distant sound of maniacal laughter. Or maybe we just imagined that. There's no supplement, though the menu offers quick access to at-home segments with Britney (''I eat like a horse. I eat soooo much'' ... crawfish), Justin (yes, he spoke in black patois even as a kid showing off his golf moves), and Xtina (her first horseback ride -- good prep, we're sure, for riding male dancers in many videos to come).

Britney Spears Protected From French Paparazzi
The New York Times profiled the growing paparazzi business in Los Angeles, and spoke with Arnold Cousart about a particular issue the industry has with their French snappers. "Britney's not going to drive crazy," Cousart says, of Britney Spears. "So you don't have to be right on her tail. But there's going to be that one photographer on her bumper. So we call each other, the other teams. Whenever we're in a follow with the French guys, we say make sure they don't get in the front. We try to block them out, because they drive like idiots."

BRITNEY + KEVIN WAIT ON EACH OTHER IN SAUCY PHOTO SPREAD
BRITNEY SPEARS smolders as a saucy French maid in a new photo spread, which also features her husband KEVIN FEDERLINE.
The INTERVIEW magazine spread, shot by photographer MICHELLE KOLE, features a pre-pregnant Britney, dressed as a maid, showing a little leg and a garter as she serves her husband a bottle of Jack Daniel's and then sits on his lap.
The spread also features brunette Britney playing with her hair as Federline serves her a poolside cocktail, dressed as a slick butler in a tuxedo and white gloves.
In the accompanying interview, Britney reveals, "I wanted me and Kevin to do some kind of character pieces, with a fun essence that didn't really take things too seriously... I think we both have the sense of wanting to serve the other person."
Spears admits the pictures were set up partly to poke fun at the public's perception of the couple.
She adds, "Instead of trying to deny what the public says or what they think our personas are, we make fun of it.
"I've worked this way with my videos and photo shoots, but I've never done a whole out-there concept that is not attached to a movie or an album."

INGRID SISCHY: Hello, Britney.
BRITNEY SPEARS: Hi!
IS: How are you?
BS: I'm good, how are you?
IS: I'm good, thanks. So, let's go straight to those hilarious pictures. They're like performance art, and I love how they take the mickey out of the media. What led you to go down this path?
BS: I knew we were coming out with our reality show, and I wanted to capture [something about all this] in an art form. Through photography I wanted me and Kevin to do some kind of character pieces, with a fun essence that didn't really take things too seriously.
IS: What makes the pictures so playful is that they're really picking up on social stereotypes in general but also on stereotypes of you, stereotypes of Kevin, and stereotypes of your relationship.
BS: Right. I think we both have the sense of wanting to serve the other person. He has that for me, and I have that for him.
KEVIN FEDERLINE: Not to mention that you're serving a "white trash" man. [Spears' laughs]
IS: Who is that? Kevin? I didn't know you'd arrived. I'm glad you're on the line, too.
KF: Oh, yeah, I've been listening.
IS: Okay. So, have you both done these kinds of set-up, conceptual photos before?
KF: No, not like this. It was her idea.
IS: And then you commissioned Michelle Kole, the photographer, to capture your vision. Well, you seem to be having a hoot in the pictures.
BS: Instead of trying to deny what the public says or what they think our personas are, we

Purple Ranger 14 - July 27, 2005 04:17 PM (GMT)
KF: Make fun of it!
BS: You know, when you present it to their eyes blatantly and up-front, then it's just where do you go from there?
IS: Which image did you plan first?
BS: Me in the maid outfit.
KF: Yeah, we wanted that for the cover. We were kind of confused about who was gonna be the server on the cover. [laughs] We were both saying that we were gonna have to do a flip cover so we would both feel like it was equal.
IS: Hey, guys . . .
BS: We're not on the cover?! [Federline laughs]
IS: Oops. [laughs]
BS: Why am I even on the phone with you right now?! [Federline laughs]
IS: You should hang up on me!
BS: I know!
KF: No, I think it's better off that way that it's not on the cover because it's more of an artistic statement.
IS: Yes, it's like buried treasure.
BS: Ooh, I like that.
IS: You must have had a ball doing these shots.
KF: Of course. We always have fun.

Purple Ranger 14 - July 27, 2005 04:18 PM (GMT)
IS: Britney, you've conceptualized things before for your albums and videos. Is this the first time you've made pop art out of your life?
BS: I've worked this way with my videos and photo shoots, but I've never done a whole out-there concept that is not attached to a movie or an album.
IS: The images attracted me because there's this huge tradition in art for this kind of performance photography, you know? Cindy Sherman is the best known of these artists, but there have been plenty of others. I'm curious, how did you feel when the media started doing its thing with your relationship and bringing out all the stereotypes? What was your reaction?
KF: I laughed.
BS: We both laughed. But we never really said or did anything during that whole period before we got married. We were on the cover of a magazine, like, every other week. A lot of times when that happens, you're out there working, and you're out in front of the cameras, able to defend yourself, but you're having some response. But I was nowhere to be found. Our reality series and these pictures really gave me the opportunity to let the public and the fans see the way things really are.
IS: And I imagine also to let people see that you both have a total sense of humor about it all.
BS: Yeah!
IS: If a guy married a woman and the guy was more famous, the world wouldn't deem it an inequal relationship. But if you have a guy marrying a woman who is more well-known, more, in quotes, "powerful," more wealthy, then there's a kind of reverse sexism that comes out, right?
KF: You're speaking pretty highly of my wife, there, aren't you? [Sischy laughs]
BS: Keep going! He loves it!
KF: Elaborate!
IS: So, Kevin, do you experience this reverse sexism?
KF: Uhh -
BS: Sexi - [everybody starts talking at once]

Purple Ranger 14 - July 27, 2005 04:19 PM (GMT)
KF: I don't really experience it. I'll tell you why - because in our realtionship we're equal. The photographs demonstrate that this is a 50-50 thing between us, even though she's a goddess. Now she's my goddess.
IS: Photography - the great democratizer . . . So, when your kid is born, what are you going to say when you show him or her these photographs?
KF: This is how we were being percieved in a moment in time.
IS: And you wanted to show the world what?
KF: That we don't care!!! [Spears and Federline laugh]¸

Britney & Kevin Spoof "White Trash" Image
Britney Spears and Kevin Federline are spoofing their "white trash" image in a series of photos in Interview magazine.
In one shot, Spears is dressed as a maid and she's serving Federline some booze on a silver tray. Federline is dressed in an undershirt and camouflage plants.
In another shot, Federline is dressed in a tux with his hair slicked back and he's serving Spears a drink while she sits in front of a clothes line filled with her bras and panties.
When Spears found out during the interview that none of the shots was going to be on the cover of the magazine, she asked "Why am I even on the phone with you?"

Britney and husband Kevin posed as each other's servants in the shoot for Interview magazine.
But when she found out that the photos wouldn't be used on the mag's front cover she hit the roof reports contactmusic.com.
During a telephone interview for the accompanying article, Spears allegedly exclaimed, "We're not on the cover! Why am I even on the phone with you right now?" when informed of the bad news.
But Federline is then said to have countered, "I think it's better off that way that it's not on the cover because it's more of an artistic statement."

PHOTOGRAPHER SHOT WHILE STAKING OUT SPEARS EVENT
A bridal shower which BRITNEY SPEARS is believed to have attended turned chaotic last night (06AUG05), when a photographer was shot in the leg with a BB gun outside the venue.
It is unclear who fired the BB as photographer BRAD DIAZ was staking out the event at a home in Malibu, California, according to sheriff's Lieutenant STEVE SMITH.
Smith says firefighters bandaged Diaz's leg before he was taken to a hospital.
The policeman explains, "It could've been somebody driving by, walking by, we have no idea where it came from.
Diaz was about 200 yards from the home when he was hit, according to Smith. He was one of about 10 photographers standing in the street.
Smith originally said the home belonged to Spears, but said deputies later learned that it belonged to someone else and that Spears is a frequent guest. He did not identify the owner.

Photographer Shot Trying for Britney Photo
Aug 7, 8:23 AM EST
A photographer was shot in the leg with a BB gun outside a home where he believed Britney Spears was attending a bridal shower Saturday evening, authorities said.
It was unclear who fired the BB as the photographer was staking out the event at the Malibu home, sheriff's Lt. Steve Smith said. He said firefighters bandaged the man's leg and he went to a hospital.
"It could've been somebody driving by, walking by, we have no idea where it came from," Smith said.
The photographer, identified as Brad Diaz, was about 200 yards from the home outside the home's long driveway when he was hit, Smith said. He was one of about 10 photographers standing in the street.
Smith originally said the home belonged to Spears, but said deputies later learned that it belonged to someone else and that Spears is a frequent guest. He did not identify the owner.
A message left with Spears' publicist was not immediately returned Saturday night.

Police to Probe Britney Stakeout Shooting
Aug 8, 6:45 PM EST
A sheriff's detective will be assigned to investigate the BB gun shooting of a photographer who was staking out Britney Spears over the weekend.
Such incidents usually draw little attention from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, but authorities say they were swamped with phone calls.
"Because of the media attention, we'll probably put this on the front burner to settle the whole thing," said sheriff's Sgt. Robert Knudson.
A detective will be assigned to the case Monday, authorities said.
The photographer, Brad Diaz, was shot in the leg while standing in the street 150 feet to 200 feet from a home where Spears was believed to be attending a baby shower in her honor, authorities said.
The 23-year-old pop star was inside the home at the time, but neither she nor anyone associated with her had anything to do with the shooting, said her publicist, Nicole King. King said she didn't know why Spears was at the residence.
Diaz, who was treated at a hospital and released several hours later, claimed the BB came from the direction of the home, Knudson said. Spears' bodyguards told authorities they weren't involved in the incident.
Though the shooting "doesn't even rise to the level of assault with a deadly weapon," Knudson said, sheriff's dispatch operators received nearly two dozen phone calls from news organizations following the incident.

AGUILERA: 'PREGNANT SPEARS' CAREER IS DOOMED'
CHRISTINA AGUILERA has warned pop rival BRITNEY SPEARS not to expect a comeback after her baby is born - because she's "let herself go" too much to reclaim her sex symbol status.
The DIRRTY singer is horrified by the deterioration in Spears' appearance since she announced she's expecting her husband KEVIN FEDERLINE's child earlier this year (05).
And Aguilera hopes the TOXIC star will be content with motherhood, because she doubts she'll ever be a pop star again.
She says, "She's let herself go. I can't see a comeback on the cards."

Photographer trying to snap Britney shot
A photographer claims he was shot by one of Britney Spears' minders as she attended a party.
Brad Diaz was shot in the leg by a plastic pellet outside theMalibu home.
Sheriff's Department Lt. Steve Smith said it was unclear who fired the plastic pellet.
"It could've been somebody driving by, walking by, we have no idea where it came from," Smith said.
Diaz went to hospital but doctors said the pellet was embedded too deeply to remove reports The Sun.
Smith initially said the home belonged to Spears, but said deputies later learned it belonged to someone else and that Spears is a frequent guest. He did not identify the owner.
Diaz says he believes the pellet came from Britney's security staff and he plans to sue for millions. He said: "I can't believe it. I was on a public street."

SPEARS DENIES KNOWLEDGE OF PAPARAZZI SHOOTING
LATEST: BRITNEY SPEARS and her security staff are denying knowledge of photographer BRAD DIAZ's pellet-gun shooting.
The paparazzi photographer said he was struck in the thigh by a pellet on Saturday (06AUG05) outside the Malibu, California, mansion where the pregnant TOXIC singer attended a baby shower thrown for her.
While police are investigating his complaint of misdemeanour battery, Spears' camp insist knowing nothing of the attack.
Her publicist, NICOLE KING, says, "Britney didn't know anything about it. She had nothing to do with it."
Police say Diaz was treated with an adhesive bandage at the scene and describe his injury as insignificant. But they plan to reconstruct the incident and talk to everyone involved.
Spears, 23, is due to give birth to her first child with husband KEVIN FEDERLINE in October (05). Federline has two other children with former MOESHA star SHAR JACKSON.

Bang, bang! A happy snapper staking out Britney Spears' baby shower in Malibu this Saturday got an extra shot he wasn't expecting - in the leg.
Brad Diaz had hoped to bring in big bucks by selling pics from Brit's booties and bibs bash. Instead he ended up in hospital when a mystery shooter brought him down with an airgun. Ouch!
"It could've been somebody driving by, walking by, we have no idea where it came from," Steve Smith of Malibu's police department told the Toronto Sun.

Meanwhile the photographer is planning to sue BRITNEY SPEARS and her bodyguards for millions - because he claims one of the singer's security team shot him in the leg with a BB gun outside a baby shower Spears threw to celebrate her pregnancy.
Paparazzo BRAD DIAZ and 10 other photographers were staking out Spears' party on Saturday (06JUL05) at a rented house in Malibu, California.
