Beneath The Surface
A week later, my fellow Rangers & I, minus Tommy, were hanging out at Cyberspace. Conner & Kira were doing their government project while Ethan played a space themed video game. Sebastian was checking out sites on his favorite basketball teams and Kevin was reading something about archaeology because he seemed to be fascinated by it. Aubrey was doing research on various plants to see which ones would come in handy for whenever she would have to use her powers in any & every environment. I was doing research on different species of Pokémon while I ran a viral scan on three computers at once.
Conner & Kira were getting annoyed by Ethan playing because they were trying to finish their assignment. They asked him why he wasn’t working on his and he said that he & Trent finished it last week as he dissed them. Kira asked where Trent was and Conner said that Hayley gave him the day off because he probably wanted to spend some quality time with his dad. I finished the viral scans of the computers and accessed my workshop computer to name the Pachycephalosaurus of the Prehistoricbots Thick Head, because of the meaning of the dinosaur’s name. Then Kevin, Aubrey & I went home to have dinner and work with our Pokémon.
The next day, Aubrey & I went to Reefside High because Tommy asked us to chaperone a field trip to a dig sight. We thought it’d be cool and I decided to bring some of my ground & rock-type Pokémon with me to help out. Tommy told us that Principal Randell decided to tag along and we left for the dig sight.
It was really fun and I was amazed at all of the fossils that were in the area. I found a piece of bone and ran a diagnostic on it with my portable DNA Scanner. The fossil was over 140 million years old and I knew that it was from the Early Cretaceous Era.
I heard Ethan yell and I ran to see what he wanted. He found an egg and we could tell it was not ancient because it resembled the Raptor Riders’ eggs. Kira & I got Tommy and told him that we found something that might be a Morphosaurus as a way of telling him it was related to what we did as superheroes. We told him it might be a Dinozord egg and Randell wanted to hold it after she walked up to us.
As Randell looked at the egg, and Tommy said he should get it to the lab to examine it, Tyrannodrones showed up & attacked. We fanned out and fought the Tyrannodrones.
My Sandslash, Diglett, Graveler, Cubone, Wooper, Phanpy, Swinub, Larvitar, Corsola & Nincada helped out by using their best attacks as I used my spider-strength & agility to kick some scales. I saw Aubrey summon a tree branch and made it wrap itself around three Tyrannodrones to make them spin before hitting the ground. Kevin fought side by side with his Pokémon Boney the Cubone, Pigsly the Swinub, Cam the Nincada, Larvis the Larvitar & Ron the Aron. Sebastian, Kira, Ethan & Conner used some of the tools as weapons as Tommy swung Randell around and saved her when the egg went flying.
Randell got the egg and asked us where we learned to fight like that. Conner & the others, minus Tommy, Aubrey, Kevin & I, said that they learned it in Karate Club. I told Randell that Kevin & I took lessons when we were kids and I had been teaching Aubrey. Then we took the egg to the Dino Cave after Tommy said that the field trip was over.
An hour and a half later, we were still scanning the egg when Ethan said it was not right because he was detecting no signs of life inside the egg. Tommy said he was sure it was the Dimetrodon Dinozord. Conner asked what it was and Tommy told him that the Dimetrodon was a carnivore from the Early Permian era, which was before the Triassic Era by 38 million years, and it had a sail that acted like a heat absorber. Kira said that it explained why the Tyrannodrones were after the egg.
Tommy said it was getting weird because there was still a heat signature at the dig sight. We figured there could be another one and Tommy decided to go check. He told us to stay & keep analyzing the egg before he left.
About 15 minutes later, Ethan said there was no zord inside the egg. Then we saw the Dimetrodon Dinozord on the monitor. We decided to open the egg and we saw a holographic image of Elsa appear inside it. The image laughed and we realized that it was definitely a bad egg. Conner said we better hurry & get the zords because the Dimetrodon was attacking Little Tokyo. Then we activated our morphers & our powers.
“Dino Thunder, Power Up! Tyranno! Ptera! Tricera! Allo! Dilopho! Iguano! Kenti!” we yelled.
We got to the woods outside of Little Tokyo and saw our primary Dinozords attack & fight the Dimetrodon. The Dimetrodon beat up the Triceratops, Pterodactyl, Iguanodon, and the Kentrosaurus easily. The Allosaurus & the Dilophosaurus tried to double team it but it lunged at them with its spinning back aimed at them and defeated them. The Tyrannosaurus fought it and we rooted him on.
It was drill tail vs. saw back and the Dimetrodon won. The Dimetrodon retreated by digging underground before a clock-like monster called Scorpex showed up. We quickly jumped into our zords and had them form the Thundersaurus Megazord.
We started the fight off by using the Ptera Rang & then the Tricera Fist but Scorpex deflected them both. He swung his tail around and hit us before he started slashing us with his swords, which looked like the hands of a clock.
Tommy contacted us and said that we needed something that could penetrate Scorpex’s armor like a blade or a saw. He suggested we use the Dimetrodon Dinozord and we reminded him that it didn’t play well with others. He said he’d try something and we went back to fighting Scorpex. The Dimetrodon appeared and attacked us like Demagnetron once did and the Megazord fell. Scorpex started stomping on us until Tommy managed to tame the Dimetrodon and it saved us.
We had the Dino Drill retract and the Dimetrodon combined with the Megazord to form the Thundersaurus Megazord Saw Mode. We used the Dimetro Blade to cut Scorpex’s swords and then the armor on his torso. We hit him with a Dino Fireball and powered up the Dimetro Blade to deliver a Dimetro Blade Cross Cut to destroy Scorpex.
We were all extremely happy that we had a new Dinozord. We had a total of 10 Dinozords and they were all awesome looking as a group. I managed to take some snapshots of the zords individually so I could add them to my Zord Scrapbook at home. Then we all went home.
The next day, I was working on schematics for Thick Head in my workshop when Kevin came home from school. He told me that Cassidy announced the school having a superhero and that it was Principal Randell. He told me that Cassidy had some video footage but all it showed was Cassidy destroying a flower. I started to laugh as Kevin mentioned him & the others making jokes about Tommy & Randell before they went to class. And I couldn’t blame them for doing that.
