KGW, News Channel 8 in Portland, Oregon is ending ther March Food Drive to feed the hungry, their goal is to reach 1 million pounds of food. As of Satuarday, they have collected over 775,000 pounds of food. The goal is to fill a studio at KGW with lots of food, it is similar to the Toy Drive in December.

I don't think it should end either, but the studio is needed for other endevours. Besides, KGW has a commitment to a certain time period, since this was occurring during the Lenten season and now that that is over, it must end as well.
