Christina Attacks! Jun 01, 2005
by Mike Bell
Poor, poor Christina Aguilera.
It seems everyone has forgotten the young thing, focusing instead on her arch-nemesis Britney Spears and all of the wonderful events in her life - her marriage to that hillbilly Baryshnikov, their subsequent spawning, and now their TV show, which is, apparently, Kevin and Britney's home-movie re-enactments of the final season of Life Goes On.
So what's a girl to do?
Well, if you're Christina, you fight crazy with crazy.
According to reports in a New York newspaper, the singer recently went all diva on an L.A. club-goer, jumping on the furniture and screaming at the poor patron.
"I looked over and Christina was standing on the couch and she was yelling at some guy: 'Get out! Get out!' " the the New York Post quoted an onlooker as saying.
"Her security was holding her back and forcing the guy to leave.
"It caused a big scene."
Well, at least you've got to hand it to the lady - she's classed up a great deal.
Remember the last big scene she caused was as she attempted to get through airport security but kept setting off the metal detector with her various piercings.
By the way, does anyone remember when musicians actually made headlines because of music? No. Me neither.

Christina's Odd Wake-up Call Jun 27, 2005
Whether she likes it or not, Christina Aguilera has unknowingly been a part of the United States' war on terrorism.
Time magazine reported in its June 20 issue that, according to an 84-page interrogation log labeled 'Secret Orcon', whenever Osama bin Laden loyalist Mohammed ah-Qahtani falls asleep at Camp X-Ray in Guantanamo Bay, his handlers wake him up by dripping water on his head and blasting music by Aguilera, 24. (Her rep had no comment.)
This isn't the first time music has been used as an interrogation technique at Gitmo. In 2003, BBC News reported that soldiers had subjected detainees to repeated listenings of the theme from Sesame Street as well as songs by multiplatinum band Metallica.

Xtina's Hunt For A Wedding Dress
Getting married is one of life's more special occasions and not just because of all that love stuff.
It's a great excuse to splash out an expensive frock - as bride-to-be Christina Aguilera is finding out.
The singer, who is set to marry her fella Jordan Bratman later this year, is sparing no expense when it comes to her bridal gown.
The multi-million pound star has been spotted on the prowl at fashion weeks across the globe to find herself a designer frock.
Christina with fiance Jordan Bratman
And, according to the Daily Mirror, it sounds like she might just have found a designer up for the job at Paris' couture week: Christian Lacroix.
Christina gushed of Lacroix:
"He aces in wedding gowns, so I'm looking forward to seeing what he has in store."
Whether or not Christina signs him up for the job remains to be seen, but it sure beats being a Berketex bride.

Indo-Asian News Service
Los Angles, July 30 (IANS) Pop princess Christina Aguilera's music video for the song "Dirty" has been voted the sexiest ever by music fans.
According to Ananova.com, the poll was conducted by FHM Music TV and attracted more than 150,000 votes. It featured the singer grinding with a selection of well-oiled men in a boxing ring.
Eric Prydz's "Call On Me", which featured a women's aerobics work-out, came second and Benny Benassi's "Satisfaction", which stars scantily-clad women clutching power tools, third. NERD's "Lapdance" was fourth, followed by TATU's "All The Things She Said", famous for its lesbian clinch in the pouring rain.

Aguilera's Matrimonial Millions?
Xtina the wedding singer; Plus, Beyoncé's birthday baubles, a romance rundown on Kirsten, Mischa and Keira and much more ...
Sept. 6, 2005
Turns out cheesy wedding music is something that crosses all socio-economic barriers. It's just that when you have big bucks to burn, you can forgo the DJ and hire the actual performers to belt out their trademark schmoopy songs.
Christina Aguilera , 24, reportedly earned a mountain of money to serenade Russian moneybags banker Andrei Melnichenko and his blushing bride, model and former Miss Yugoslavia Alexandra Kokotovic, at their weekend vow-swapping in the South of France.
Reports vary as to the terms of the deal, with Sky News claiming the pint-sized singer earned $2.2 million for two songs while the London Mirror says she took home $3.7 million for a trio of tunes. Either way, Xtina seemingly netted more than a million per ditty, not a bad payday for about 30 minutes of work.
"Christina did a brilliant job," a spywitness tells Sky News. "There wasn't a dry eye in the house when she sang ' Beautiful .'"
In addition to the cash stash, the cotton-candy-coiffed chart-topper and her fiancé, music exec Jordan Bratman, also purportedly enjoyed some fabulous perks, including a private jet and a $3,700-a-night hotel suite (not to mention a plethora of ideas for their own impending aisle walk).
Christina wasn't the only wedding singer at the lavish nuptials, which one guest estimated cost more than $35 million (chump change for the 33-year-old billionaire).
According to the Mirror, she shared the stage with Whitney Houston , who was likely tapped to holler the cringe-inducing reception staple " I Will Always Love You ," and Julio and Enrique Iglesias , who we're guessing did not duet on " To All the Girls I've Loved Before ."

Aguilera happy for Britney's baby!:-
New York September 20, 2005 12:39:29 PM IST
Pop singer Christina Aguilera has revealed that she is genuinely happy for her chart rival Britney Spears, who just delivered a baby a few days back.
The singer admits that her former The Mickey Mouse Club co-star's pregnancy hadn't really registered, until she gave birth to Sean Preston .
"My assistant came in the room when it happened and she's like, 'Britney had a boy!' and I was like, 'Oh my gosh!' MTV quoted her as saying.
"I don't know where I was for a while when she was pregnant but it really kicked in at that point. It's like, 'Wow, she had a baby! That's crazy!
I'm overjoyed and thrilled for her. It's such an exciting time in her life and I just wish her the best," she added.
Aguilera further said that she has already sent Spears a baby gift and a card.

Christina Aguilera loves Britney Spears
Sexy Pop Diva Christina Aguilera says she's "overjoyed and thrilled" that rival Pop Diva Britney Spears has given birth to a healthy baby boy.
She said: "My assistant came in the room when it happened and she's like, 'Britney had a boy!' and I was like, 'Oh my gosh!'
"I don't know where I was for a while when she was pregnant but it really kicked in at that point," she explained at the Us Weekly US Weekly "Young Hollywood Hot 20" event

Aguilera and Spears, starred together on children's TV, before going on to launch simultaneous music careers.
Christina's Britney Baby Talk
Christina Aguilera is doing her darndest to make sure people know that she's happy -- nay "thrilled" -- for new mom Britney Spears . Just a few weeks ago, the big-lunged belter dismissed as "lies" a report that quoted her as saying her onetime rival had "let herself go" and probably wouldn't experience a comeback. Now, Christina is expressing her delight at the arrival of Mr. and Mrs. Kevin Federline's little bambino.

"My assistant came in the room when it happened and she's like, 'Britney had a boy!' and I was like, 'Oh my gosh!' I don't know where I was for a while when she was pregnant but it really kicked in at that point," Aguilera excitedly tells MTV News. "It's like, wow, she had a baby! That's crazy! I'm overjoyed and thrilled for her."
The platinum-coiffed singer, who is engaged to music exec Jordan Bratman, reveals she's already sent the Britster a card and a baby gift (let's hope her offering didn't include such X-tina staples as an infant-sized belly tee, a family-sized makeup kit or leather chaps).
Aguilera, who last year dismissed a report that claimed she dissed Britney for buying her own wedding ring, enthuses, "It's such an exciting time in her life and I just wish her the best."
Speaking of Britney, she's taking time out from bonding with the tot, recovering from her C-section and changing poopy diapers (or at least supervising as a nanny does it) to help her hard-hit home state of Louisiana.
In a statement, Mrs. Federline announced she's offering two grants from her Britney Spears Foundation to aid Hurricane Katrina relief work. Habitat for Humanity is one lucky beneficiary, with funds earmarked for Operation Home Delivery, a rebuilding program for Gulf Coast families.
The other grant will go to the East Baton Rouge Parish School System, which is struggling financially with the addition of as many as 7,000 displaced New Orleans students. The money will be used to defray the cost of buses, computers, school supplies and other necessities.
Britney says the contributions "are only the beginning."
As for the Federlines, they have yet to confirm a report that their little bundle of joy is named Sean Preston Spears Federline, and have also failed to release a photo, which has prompted chatter that an in-depth cover story with a non-"false tabloid" is in the works.

#7 Christina Aguilera
Christina Aguilera hit the pop scene about the same time as rival and former fellow Mousketeer Britney Spears and quickly differentiated herself by becoming the naughtier of the blond pop princesses. She consistently made mouths drop in a succession of ultra-revealing outfits, then appeared topless on the cover of her Stripped album and posed in the buff for Rolling Stone magazine. Just to make sure everyone got the point, Christina also released a sexy single (and sizzling accompanying video) called "Dirrty." Christina has been very open about her sexuality, proclaiming her love for casual sex and sex with both men and women. But it looks like the vamp may be settling down. Christina recently got engaged to music executive Jordan Bratman. Unlike her nemesis Britney, Christina has never been accused of lack of talent. She's won several Grammys and has been compared vocally to both Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey.

††Aguilera has "truly encapsulated the 'Dare for More' approach"
By: Mihaela Stroia, Entertainment Editor
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Singer Christina Aguilera has switched teams, dumping Coca Cola for Pepsi, despite her performance in a Coke commercial for Latin America, where she claims she's a Coca Cola drinker for life.
Aguilera, 25, has already shot the international ads, but no further details on the theme of the commercial were revealed by the Pepsi representatives.
However, according to Pepsi's spokesperson, Christina wears a swimsuit and feather tiara and has "truly encapsulated the 'Dare for More' approach.
The ads will not be broadcasted on U.S. televisions, but, according to MTV.com, they will surely be found on the Internet sooner or later.
Even since the beginning of these two companies, Pepsi has leaned towards the appeal of celebrities, popular music and young people in television commercials, while Coke relies more heavily on images of happiness and togetherness, tradition and nationalism
Among the stars who appeared so far in Pepsi's ads were Michael Jackson, Madonna, Michael J. Fox, Billy Crystal, Lionel Ritchie, Gloria Estefan, Joe Montana, Britney Spears, BeyoncÈ, Pink, Jennifer Lopez and David Beckham.

Meanwhile, Aguilera has announced that her third full-length English album is nearly complete and the album's feel will be completely different from previous efforts, focusing more on her vocal abilities and musical tastes.

People Gain Rights To Wedding Pics
The millionaire singer is to marry music manager Jordan Bratman next month.
She has already sold the wedding picture rights to People Magazine.
This is a common thing among celebs. What is rather unusual in this case is the price: ?350,000. Compare that to $3 million! This being the amount that Demi Moore has sold her wedding pictures for…
Or to ?1 million - netted by pop rival Britney Spears for her wedding…
Maybe Christina Aguilera is trying to cast a message through that, as she has been on several occasions very scrupulous about her image.

Christina Aguilera's about to get married, but don't expect an invite unless you're "close friends and family." Though she's trying to keep most details to herself, she revealed that it would be a destination wedding taking place over the span of three days. "We are going to have a wedding weekend," she said. "Each night has a certain theme to it, and the whole thing is very magical." ... Christina Aguilera to wed in secret ceremony
Christina Aguilera to wed in secret ceremony Nov 15, 2005
Christina Aguilera and her fiancé Jordan Bratman are to wed this weekend in a secret ceremony, it has been claimed.
The couple, who recently had their hen and stag weekends in Mexico, are rumoured to be tying the knot in a ceremony attended by just a few family and friends, according to reports in America's New York Post newspaper.
Christina will reportedly wear a unique Christian Lacroix wedding dress, while her bridesmaids will be wearing outfits created by top designer Kai Milla - the wife of Stevie Wonder.
Earlier this year, Christina admitted she was desperate to have a romantic winter wedding.
The 'Dirrty' singer, who got engaged to record producer Jordan in February, admitted it was her dream to tie the knot in a winter wonderland but admitted her fans will be disappointed with her dress - because it will be conservative.
The blonde babe, who is famed for her outrageous outfits, said at the time: 'It would be cool to have a winter wedding. But the dress will be conservative.
'Don't expect the sort of stuff that hangs off my when I'm on stage. I want white and kind of traditional.'

Aguilera sheds light on new LP
Aguilera sheds light on new LP Nov 14, 2005
Christina Aguilera has shed a bit more light on her new album on her paid fan site, where she posted that the work in progress is a "throwback to the 1920s, '30s and '40s," which also explains her pinup-glamour-queen look of late.
"I like my look to mirror where I am at musically and lyrically," she wrote. "Some of the songs are kept authentic, sticking to a really raw, old-soul sound, where others combine elements of old blues, jazz and soul with a hard modern-day edge."
Aguilera calls the still-untitled album, due in the spring, her "best work yet."
"It's been really fun experimenting, challenging and pushing myself to bring you something completely different and revealing," she wrote. Plus, being in love this time around didn't hurt.
While her fiance, Jordan Bratman, didn't exactly collaborate with her - he's not a musician - his influence will be heard in other ways: "We have introduced each other to whole new worlds of music, so it will definitely show!" Aguilera said that she's never been "so in love, so happy, or felt so alive."
"I start to cry when I think of all he has brought to my life," she wrote. "As a team, we make each other stronger, wiser ... just better. Before, I used to have so many walls up, and he has taught me to trust and shown me I can open up."
Christina's wedding plan: go all out!
She'll celebrate her nuptials with a weekend of three lavish receptions Nov 14, 2005
Christina Aguilera is planning a Thanksgiving wedding -with all the fixin's!- to fiance Jordan Bratman, 28. A friend of the bride says Christina "will go out" with weekend-long festivities in picturesque Napa Valley, Calif.
"She always said the ceremony would be something everyone would remember," says the pal.
The fun starts Friday with a ceremony in which Christina, 24, will wear a flowing Christian Lacroix gown. Each of the receptions- count 'em three!- will have its own theme.
The primary post-ceremony celebration, on Saturday, will channel Japan, with geisha servers, dragon dancers, sushi and sake. Another reception will have an Italian theme, with a four-course dinner. Christina's keeping the final celebration theme a secret, though she has hinted to friends that it will have something to do with Mexico, one of her favorite vacation spots.
There's no doubt Xtina will be a stunning bride. Her friend says that since July she's been "taking yoga to both mold her body and calm her soul" to ensure she looks her very best on her big day.

Review: Christina Aguilera and others. Mhhhm Nov 13, 2005
by Lev David
This kind of review makes everything worth it - three representers give you their take on the Unite of the Stars and Christina affairs:
First off it's LEV - he went to the media gathering and was not at all impressed by his colleagues who seemed a little starstruck:
SHUT UP, STUPID.
What's it like being at a shit-hot press conference featuring Christina Aguilera, Westlife, Deborah Cox, Diana Ross and Lucia Micarelli? I'll tellya.
I'm going through the audio collected from the big Unite of the Stars press conference. I'm disgusted. Really, this was the hottest set of stars we've had in the country since the last 46664 and, as ever, the South African media blew it.
Typically, at one of these press conferences, each journo has one question. One shot. That's it. Unless you're one of the "favoured" journalist, in which case you might get two or three per celebrity. That in itself sucks, since the favoured journalists are more often than not sycophantic thicko's. And what do said thicko's choose to ask?
"What inspires you?" Or, in the case of Christina Aguilera, "how was the kiss with Madonna." That was 3 years ago! She's answered that question a billion times already!
It may seem like I'm being petty, but I desperately think that we should demand more of ourselves. I really don't mind if they're wasting their own time, but when it comes to a press conference, where we share the audio, stupid questions waste everybody's time.
Screw't, guys! Raise the bar. If you can find it out on the internet, if there's only one possible answer ("What do you think about South Africa so far?" Who's gonna say, "actually, it's f*ing awful!"), if it's just your attempt to suck up to a star ("How do you stay looking so young?"), or if we've heard it before, shut the **** up.
The celebrities went into auto-pilot, reading off their internal autocue (and who can blame them) and the South African media (for the most part) stood there dazed and breathless and wasting not only my time, but the time of all newspaper and magazine readers, radio listeners and TV viewers. One way to minimise the chance of suckiness would be to invite more of the alternative media. Let the mainstream use the audio. I'm sure the altpuppies won't mind. And everybody will have a better product.
That said, well done to all the organisers and the publicists for setting up this opportunity. It was slick and tight and classy. Cheers. Hopefully next time, the media won't blow it.
Christina appears once in Star & People, four times in Life & Style and on page 104 of US Weekly.

Christina Aguilera Marries Jordan Bratman
Aguilera married music executive Saturday in California.
by Gil Kaufman
Christina Aguilera and music executive Jordan Bratman got married on Saturday at a posh Northern California resort.
Representatives for Aguilera, 24, confirmed to MTV News that she and Bratman, 28, exchanged vows in the Saturday evening ceremony, which, according to the Us Weekly Web site, took place in front of 130 friends and family at the Staglin Family Vineyard in Napa Valley and featured a gospel choir.
The magazine reported that former Mouseketeer Aguilera's hair was decorated with jewels and pulled back in a bun that was topped with white flowers, that she wore a dress designed by Christian Lacroix and that she later said the ceremony was "amazing."
Among the guests who watched the pair exchange vows shortly after 6 p.m. PST were actress Sharon Stone, Aguilera's longtime manager, Irving Azoff (who introduced the couple three years ago when Bratman worked for his agency) and her dancers. It is the first marriage for both, who got engaged in February after dating for two years (see "Christina Aguilera To Marry Music Executive").
The couple, who had a bachelor/bachelorette party in Las Vegas over Halloween, began their wedding weekend on Wednesday, according to Us Weekly, when they arrived at the Napa Airport on a private jet and had a candlelit dinner at the upscale French Laundry restaurant, which stayed open to accommodate their late arrival. They then checked into a private $3,500-a-night cottage at the Auberge du Soleil Inn, where their room boasted a fireplace, steam shower and outdoor sunken hot tub.
When guests began arriving Thursday, they were driven from the airport in Aguilera's Rolls Royce Phantom, which was shipped up from Los Angeles on a flatbed truck. Friday night's elaborate rehearsal dinner was Japanese themed, according to the magazine, with lanterns, pink roses and fresh bamboo stems in wooden planters with pink cherry blossoms in the center. The dinner was catered by L.A.'s Hamasaku restaurant and featured a "Christina Aguilera Roll," a cut roll wrapped in soy paper with spicy tuna, rice, avocado and topped with sweet eel sauce.
The couple was scheduled to leave for a long honeymoon at an undisclosed location on Sunday.

Aguilera got 'confidentiality agreements' signed from wedding guests!
London: Pop singer Christina Aguilera has gone too far to keep the details of her nuptials a secret, by demanding that her guests sign a confidentiality agreement before they are allowed to take part in the ceremony.
Each of the 150 guests invited to watch the pop princess exchange vows with her music-manager fiance Jordan Bratman, was sent the contract in a bid to ensure that even the tiniest details of the wedding were not leaked.
It was prefaced by the revelation that one guest had already attempted to sell the ornate invitation, contained in a 2ft-wide box filled with flowers.
“You have to sign your life away. It's three pages long. It starts, 'It came as a great shock to us that one of our guests has been trying to sell their invitations. We are sorry to have to ask you, our dear friends and honoured guests, to sign this agreement but we feel it is the only way to ensure the security of our wedding.,'” a source was quoted by the Dailymail, as saying.
Guests including singer Justin Timberlake and his film-star girlfriend Cameron Diaz, as well as actresses Carmen Electra, Drew Barrymore and musicians Nelly and Pink, were told precisely what they were not allowed to discuss with 'any third party'.
Banned subjects included the cake, the rings, entertainment, speeches, food, the venue and other guests.
BABY PLANS FOR CHRISTINA
With Kiki King, Eva Simpson And Caroline Hedley
JUST two weeks into marriage and Christina Aguilera is already planning to fill her Malibu mansion with the pitter-patter of tiny feet.
"She's been saying that once the world tour she's planning for next year is over she wants to concentrate on starting a family," a pal tells us.
The singer started going out with record executive Jordan Bratman two years ago, and he proposed in February.
They tied the knot at a vineyard in Napa Valley, Northern California, where guests included Justin Timberlake, Cameron Diaz and Sharon Stone.

Christina's First Post-Wedding Interview Dec 14, 2005
When Christina Aguilera was ready to give her first interview as a newlywed, she came exclusively to Access Hollywood.
But now that she's tied the knot to Jordan Bratman, what do we call her?
"You can always call me Ms. Aguilera. That is definitely my stage name. I am still going by it professionally," Christina told us. "But 'Mrs. B' has been the cute thing that my friends like to call me."
Well then, Mrs. B it is.
Just one day removed from their Bali honeymoon, Christina and Jordan invited Access to check out their wedding bands made by Stephen Webster, when we met up with the couple at Hollywood's Chateau Marmont for the unveiling of Webster's new diamond designs.
“Stephen came up with the cutest design,” Christina said, as she summoned the usually camera shy Jordan to join the interview. And as her hubby made his way over, we couldn't help but notice the lock-shaped pendant around his neck inscribed with the word “Wedlock.”
It turns out, Jordan isn't a big fan of wearing rings, so Webster designed a necklace for him so he could keep his wedding ring close to his heart - without having it on his finger.
“You open it up and there is the ring inside and they if you take it off the chain, you can actually wear it on your finger,” Christina explained.
And to no surprise, her ring isn't too shabby either, as she proudly showed off the bling.

Christina Aguilera: Call Me Mrs. B Dec 14, 2005
Christina Aguilera, who married music executive Jordan Bratman on Nov. 19, says that her friends now call her Mrs. B - and that Aguilera is just her professional name.
"(Aguilera) is definitely my stage name, I am still going by it professionally," she told Access Hollywood in an interview that airs Wednesday. "But 'Mrs. B' has been the cute thing that my friends like to call me."
As for the couple's honeymoon, the pop star said they had "an amazing time."
Aguilera and Bratman married in a ceremony that one observer described to PEOPLE as "simply spectacular" at the Staglin Family Vineyard in California's Napa Valley. The wedding, which is estimated to have cost $2 million, had everything from a chandelier crafted from 2,500 crystals to a five-tier chocolate cake topped by hundreds of sugar flowers.
Regarding the pair's holiday plans, Aguilera tells Access: "We're happy to be celebrating our first year as husband and wife ... so I am glowing," she said.
But Christmas won't be all about the gifts. "I already have the most extravagant gift, and that is my husband," she said.
Where has Christina Aguilera been? Dec 12, 2005
by Margaret Studer
Where is Christina Aguilera? The question is, Where has she not been?
The young singer with the amazingly beautiful voice has been busy working on her next album that is due to be released in the spring of 2006. Not only has she been busy working on the album, she has also been working on a contest for her fans. She is giving her fans the chance to star on her next album. All they have to do is call her 1-800 number and leave a message under 60 seconds long, explaining what her music means to them. The best and most creative messages will be included on a track on the album. The phone line will take messages up until the 18th of November.
Recently, Christina was asked to perform at a wedding ceremony where, it has been widely reported that she was paid 2 million dollars for performing three songs.
True, Christina is tied up with career matters, but that does not keep her from pursuing her love life.
Christina and two-year boyfriend, Jordan Bratman, are planning to be married in December and Christina has been busy preparing for the big day. Fiancee, Jordan has been actively involved, too! Christina's not one to follow in other's footsteps, so I doubt anyone is expecting a baby to follow soon after the "I do's." Unlike Christina's Mickey Mouse Club partner, Britney Spears.
Wherever Christina has been, I know that she has been thinking of her fans. So, tune in to her website to find out Christina's next endeavor, and the release date of her newest album expected out next year. We may not see her all the time, but she's still "beautiful" and she's still a "fighter." She's still got a big voice and is still using it to get important messages across.

Christina & Jordan's Getaway!
After their Napa Valley nups, newlyweds Aguilera and her hubby honeymoon in Bali Dec 12, 2005
Hot stuff has learned that Christina Aguilera, 24, and music-exec hubby Jordan Bratman, 28, who wed on November 19, headed to the luxe Four Season Resort on the Indonesian island of Bali for their honeymoon.
"They had a private villa with its own swimming pool and lavish grounds," a source tells Us. (The 6,500-square-foot waterfront villas can cost up to $1,500 per night.)
"Everything is to the nth degree," says the source. "There are loads of staff, and the place is really secluded. They had an amazing view of Jimbaran Bay. The sun set right in front of their villa every night."
The twosome had opportunities to get massages, golf and take cooking classes. But they seemed most content on a private kayaking trip on November 26.
"They stopped to kiss once, and Jordan lay down in the back," says a witness.
The lavish vacation seemed to be the perfect end to the couple's extravagant four-day wedding weekend - estimated to have cost more than $1 million (complete with an elaborate, Japanese-theme rehearsal dinner).
"They were just chilling out," says a witness who saw them in Bali. "They seemed really happy."

On the green carpet before the show, Omarion got the loudest screams from the crowd. He stopped to shake hands with producer Brian Michael Cox before moving on to Linkin Park. Jay-Z walked the carpet like he was president of the United States - not just Def Jam - smiling and shaking hands with artists, execs and even California first lady Maria Shriver. One star he just missed (even though he was the tallest guy there and stood inches away signing autograph after autograph) was Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. "I just met Queen Latifah, but I still need to meet Jay-Z," Big Ben declared. ...
In the press room, Yolanda Adams watched Madonna and Gorillaz's performance on television with Brian McKnight. "Madonna has a fantastic body," she observed. ...
Country singer Alison Krauss, however, did not feel the same way about one of the Gorillaz. "I'm still trying to get over the cartoon in his underwear," she said. "I hope my son wasn't watching!" ...
In between winning the first of her two awards and performing "Because of You" (see "Kanye And Mariah Win, But In The End U2 - And Curveballs - Rule Grammy Night"), Kelly Clarkson found a quiet corner backstage to call her mom, who was crying even more than her daughter. "It was really stupid of me," Kelly joked later. "As if I needed to get more emotional before I performed." ...
Madonna stopped backstage to take a peek at Keith Urban's performance, calling the country crooner "smokey." "Isn't that you-know-who's boyfriend?" she asked her publicist. "The ladies are loving the country boys." ... Linkin Park's Chester Bennington irked his bandmates backstage when he suddenly appeared with a cocktail in hand. "Hey! Where'd you get that?" She later learned about Sly when she was asked to contribute to the evening's tribute. ...
As Green Day made the rounds backstage after winning Best Song for "Boulevard of Broken Dreams," the band praised the performances by fellow rockers U2, Paul McCartney and Coldplay. After Larry Mullen Jr. was cut off during U2's acceptance speech for Best Album, the drummer dropped to his knees and pleaded for more mic time. He never got it, but the audience cheered along. ...
Best New Artist winner John Legend said a bunch of his folks are in town and "it's time to party!" He also said he doesn't believe in a new-artist jinx, citing the success of the Beatles, Mariah and Alicia Keys (without mentioning the less enduring Marvin Hamlisch, Milli Vanilli and Debby Boone). However, the backstage interview was interrupted when a certain Best New Artist loser from a year ago barged into the room to congratulate his protégé. A giddy Kanye West then got a special treat when Legend said a Grammy is more important than any award out there. "That was very politically incorrect," West told him, before adding, "I love it." "I learned from the best," Legend replied. ...
As the evening neared its end, Kanye and U2 greeted each other near the press room, congratulating each other on a great night. We're sure we weren't the only onlookers wishing we could have seen thought balloons.

Christina Aguilera to stay sexy
2006-03-10 12:20:21
Christina Aguilera has no intention of toning down her raunchy image now she is married.
The sexy singer, who tied the knot with music executive Jordan Bratman last November, sent pulses racing with her butt baring antics in the explicit video for 'Dirrty'.
Christina, 25, has promised her male fans she still intends to show off her ample curves despite being spoken for.
She said: "Being sexual is a huge part of my artistry and who I am as a woman. When I am sexual in my lyrics or videos, it's because I am being honest. I'm in favour of any woman being proud of her body.
"I'm going to stick to my guns and keep pushing the envelope no matter what people say."
Christina insists her new hubby has no problem with her sexy outfits and outrageous videos and is behind her 100 per cent.
She added to America's Elle magazine: "He is right behind me supporting every provocative outfit and every pelvic thrust. Sometimes he'll even say to me, 'Why are you covering up? You're sexy, show it off!'"
Christina Aguilera 'Jordy' Tag For Hubby
2006-03-11 11:52:45
Christina Aguilera's pet name for husband Jordan Bratman is "Jordy".
The sexy singer, who tied the not with the music executive last November, has revealed she is madly in love with her hubby and always uses her sweet nickname for him when they are chatting.
She said: "When I look in the mirror and see a broad smile it's so not like me. Before, I'd never felt secure in any relationship with a man in my life. I thought love was corny. Then Jordy came along and provided such a backbone for me. He's a rock, a real man."
Christina, 25, also denies she is too young to have got married.
The blonde star claims she knew as soon as she met 'Jordy' he was 'the one'.
She explained to Elle magazine: "You just know when it's right. You know, I've lived quite a life for a 25-year-old. I've grown up a lot faster than the rest."
