I have in the last few years been collecting anime series that have been have released by adv and bandi. Such titles include Gundam wing, gundam seed, dragon drive, rahxephon etc.
On here for anybody who was wondering what dvds to buy I am going to be looking at them and giving a quick over view of them.
The first one that has but tuesday come into my pocession is dragon drive. This is a brilliant anime if you like fantasy, comedy and fighting.
This is the story of Reiji who is a high school students who is rather dull, and is wasting his childhood away. One day he is invited by Yukino worried about him wasting his life him to an old run down sweet shop called the 'seeed place' and at the back is the entrance to the exciting virtual reality game called Dragon Drive. Unexpectedly, Reiji is actually good at this game, or rather, he is actually special and his dragon who is called Gibi (I hope I spelt that right)who is as lazy and stupid as him can unleash strange power when he is in a death or life situation.
In my opion and I believe in the opinion of nomytaker this is a brilliant series and could only get better.
So as I was saying if you are in to this sort of show this is a must. Hope yuo will enjoy this sample and I'll be back with more real soon. :) :)

I only have two tapes of 3X3 Eyes which was a gift from Russell.

I have never seen 3x3 eyes what is it about becasue if it sounds cool once I have bought the rest of dragon drive I might buy that. :mellow:

The demon also makes the guy immortal and they fight all sorts of evil jerkoffs.

As I whelp the dragon promised here is the review of one of my favourite animes.If you have seen the anime trailer you migth think it is really werid but don't let that deter you.
Rahxephon in the begining is set in present day tokoyo where everyone is completely obilivous to what is really happening.
In the year 2012, Tokyo is suddenly attacked by a mysterious race of beings which call themselves "MU"
At that time Ayato Kamina is just a regular high school student. His father passed away when he was young, and his mother works for government. Ayato meets a mysterious woman named Reika Mishima and discovers the existence of the angel-winged giant robot, Rexephon. Using his new found ability to piolet this giant machine Ayato sets off into the real world to face the Mu. In the real wold he discovers that evreything that he has been taught up until then was just a lie and is forced to join terra and organisation divoted to the protection of erth and stopping the Mu invades, throughout the series you will discrover the secert of Ayatos past and the background of most of the staff at terra.

I think this is an brillliant series and is a must see for anime fans, but once the series is finished there is always the movie. Yes thats right a movie which from what I have heard it is based on what might of happened if things had been different.

So that is all I can say about the series without spooling it so unitl next tiem this is whelp fly out.

What do you think of Ghost In The Shell???

I think that ghost in the shell is the best anime ever released to the public and I will be doing a review on ghost on the shell stand alone complex which is a excellent add on to the movie, this will be done in the near future.
BUt the next item I shall be reviewing is at the moment the best mech anime ever GUNDAM SEED

Ladies and gentelmen of this forum I come before your knees (because I'm not that tall) and am about to review one of the best animes I have seen in along time.
This is Gundam seed
A conflict which started between the Earth Alliance [aka Naturals] and Zaft [aka Coordinators], which started because the naturals cannot stand the coordinators because of their inhansed abilities given to them before birth through genetic alteration.
The war did not really being until the Bloody Valentine incident
The two sides had no other choice, and war broke out. 11 months after this war started is when the timeline of Gundam SEED all begins. Heliopolis; a colony which is a 'neutral' colony was dragged into the war while Earth hid their secret mobile suits here. ZAFT mobile suit force raids Heliopolis and thus capturing all but 1 of the Gundams.
A group of young teenage Civilian are dragged into the conflict and one of them is
Kira Yamato who will play a vital role in this coming conflict.

I must stop here or I will start to spoil it all I can say is this is better than GUndam wing whcih I thought could not be beaten.

Okay you anime nutter here is this weeks anime review.
Thisweeks review is on one of the japanese favoruite naimes nadesico

The Jovian Invaders have destroyed our base on Mars, wiped out our space fleets, and now they're headed for Earth! Our only defense line is the High Mobile Battleship Nadesico which isn't even being controlled by the earth but by Nergal with its unorthodox crew - Akito the assistant cook is a pilot who does not like to fight but must to pprotect people on the nadescio and is being constant mobbed by the female part of the crew, a General's daughter is in command who has been in love with Akito since they lived together on mars, and the largest contingent of geeks and misfits ever sent into orbit. Ruri the cute and attractive 12+ year old who basically runs the nadesico is detached and does not really show much emotion onside of the word "idiot" but she forms an emotional bond to to the ships computer showing that she is as carzy as the rest of them.
The purpose of the nadesico is to retake mars and the tresures that reisde beneath it surface.
And if that is not all they take the mic out of mazinger Z with thier own mini anime Geki Gangar 3 which plays an impportant part in the series.
I think is anime is brillant for a good laugh and think they should of made geki gangar into a real series because it looks so oild and basic it is just funny

Okay on to business, here is the King of Bandit jing review before nomy leaves us for a few weeks.
Welcome to a wqorld of comdey and most of all bandits. Jing isn't just a bandit but the KING of Bandits. Who can steal anything and is also a wanted man. He travels with a wise cracking perverted bird named Kir. Both of them are on a journey searching of new things to steal, these two only steal the most valuable of things encluding a mermaids tear, a mask made of purest pearl along with other things. There is also a random deliveryman named Postino that seems to be following, the two bandits around. For some reason these two always seem to meet lots of girls and kir is always tring to make them love him.
This series only lasted 13 episodes and it did not explain where JIng and Kir came from, but who knows maybe there will be a second season.

Welcome to the world of orphenhere is the story once there was this young man was an orphaned boy named Krylancelo. The closest thing he had to family was Azalie, who cared for him like a sister or even a mother. The two of them were scouted by the Tower of Fang, a premier institute for dark sorcery. Thus Krylancelo began his training, and with encouragement from Azalie, he eventually became a sorcerer, earning the distinctive fang amulet that adorns every sorcerer from the Tower of Fang.

One day, he and Azalie were sent to the Isle of Baltanders to seek out mystical artifacts. When they did, they recovered an enchanted sword: the Sword of Baltanders. This was when the trouble began, because soon after they returned, Krylancelo was shocked to learn that Azalie was testing the power of the sword...on herself. The magic of the sword transformed her into a huge dragon that would become known as the Bloody August. The last thing she said before she transformed was, "Help me, Keylancelo!"

The Tower of Fang tried to cover up the story, giving up Azalie for dead...but Krylancelo disagreed. He became angry with the tower for turning its back on her, and with that he gave up his old identity, along with his amulet. He took up the amulet Azalie left behind and from then on became the wandering sorcerer Orphen.

For five years, Orphen has traveled the world, searching for a means of restoring Azalie to her former self. Lately, though, he has not been traveling alone. He has taken on an apprentice named Majic, with whom he holds promise (though he rarely admits to that). In addition, the young lady Cleao is along for the journey, a lady who he'll come to rely upon as a trusted partner. And now they know how to bring her back but is that what will happen just wait and see.

Here is this weeks anime,
Vandread and vandread the second stage, I have only just got this but anytime I think about it I start laughing it is that funning, plus it has brillant mechs this is a must watch anime.
In a distant future where men and women live on separate planets, a lowly mechanic named Hibiki has his eyes on piloting a Vanguard, a mecha fighting machine built by the male military. He sneaks his way onto a military space ship at a time when female pirates attack with their ships called Dreads. In the middle of the battle, the male ship and female ship accidentally collide and merge into a new ship, later called the Nirvana, leaving Hibiki and two other men stranded with a crew full of women far off in the depths of space. Now, men and women must learn to live with one another just to survive against a new threat to all of humankind. Filled with great action, blossoming love, and 3D animation, Vandread (whose name comes from when a Vanguard combines with a Dread)

Second satge is just the contuation from exactly where it left off in the first season.
The crew members of Nirvana know of the crisis of harvest approaching Tarak and Mejale, which are their home planets. In order to rescue their home planets, they hurry home. In the midst of their journey (and battles), they encounter a girl who is cryonized in an escape pod. Her name is Misty, and she is a messenger from Pluto. The present condition of Earth, and the "harvest" gets cleared after having delivered the message. Hibiki, now aware of the enemy's purpose, is ready for the true fight. Enemies are stronger, and Vandread has transcended to its last form to be able to match up with enemies. Will they be able to rescue their homes? And what would be of the relationship between Hibiki and Dita?

:) Okay ladies and gentlemen and anybody else, I have had a problem. I cannot chose which anime to do the reviews on so this week I ahve chosen to do the review on robotech the macross saga.
This is an old anime but I think it is a very good one because of it transforming fighter jets and the story.
In the year 1999, a huge battleship crashed from outer space onto the island of Macross. None of the beings on the ship survived. However, this caused all the fighting on earth to stop so that everyone could find out what the ship was, were it came from and who was piloting it. Several years after, a city had built itself around the wreck, which itself was being restored by the inhabitants of Macross Island. When unknown forces come to earth after chasing the sihp for years attack , the people of Macross Island must face the threat with all resources available, including the alien ship. The ship and its crew fight bravely in the middle of this a young man by the name of Roy flawker who came here to the island to here in the air show which was going to be held, becomes trapped in a robotech fighter and is transported along with the rest of the inhabitance of the island to pluto during a top secret move to escape the enemy. The crew will need Roys help and evry other piolets gighting power to defeat the enemy and return to earth in one piece.
This is an old anime but like I said it is a very good one. If I had to make a list of my favourite anime it would be up there along iwth gundam wing and rahxephon.

Here is this weeks review it is one that Boby the purple ranger has been waiting for it is ghost in the shell Movie and stand alone complex. Ps Ghost in the shell 2 innocence will follow but only when I have seen it in English because I have only got it in Japanese.

In the future man and machine have become one and the doorway for new possibilities for humans is open buy also the chance for new evil to emerge. The year is 2029 and net crimes are up and public relations between countries has become bad, so section 9 was created to deal with illegal immigrants and net crimes. Section 9 is made up of humans and cyborg. The main cyborg is Major Motoko Kusanagi who is trying to find a net criminal called the puppet master. In the search a voice speaks to the major who is it, and why are they trying to talk with the Major. What is the puppet master and is he the voice the Major hears.
In my opinion this was the best movie ever released by manga, but what makes it better is that they have made a series.

In the future, life between the digital and physical world has been blurred. The boundary of technology and humanity has been stretched beyond imagination with lives being led in both the electronic and physical worlds. With the melding of man and machine a new cybernetic level of existence is being created - An existence that continues to redefine mankind. And now it is up to the major and the rest of her crew to stop renegade programs and other people who are out to hurt mankind. The main bad guy they are after is the laughing man who no body can see because he hacks their implants and places this icon over his face.

This is set before the movie and I think is a good series, but in places it is a bit slow so it can become boring in places.

Zone of the enders idolo. in the future people have been sent to mars to help colonize it and make it into a world which humans can live on. While their the humans make a discovery a new substance they call medatron. After a while Earth starts to resent mars and a dispute takes place.
On mars a man is chosen to piolet a new type of LEV, its name is idolo and it is an orbital frame, (the same as Jehuty and anubus) and the mans name is Radiam Lavans, along with his friend Viola (yes it is the same woman of the game). But a problems has occured Idolo will not work for any other piolet and trys to kill anybody who dares to piolet it, except Radiam. But it all goes wrong when his fiance is kidnapped and he piolets the frame. Will it end in trajedy or will will everything turn out alright, you will have to wait and see.

I think anybody who liked playing the game will love this movie and will love the series that comes from it. I apsolutly loved this anime would recomend it to anybody who watches animes. (Nomy, if you want to warch this talk to James)

Near as I can tell, it's about a smart kid named Kyo who's dad sends him this weird little kid & a book for his birthday. Weird stuff happens to them.

Okay I have resently purchased a new anime whichi I thin is really cool but it will have to wait this weeks review is on street fight 2.
You may be thinking isn't that a game and you would be right but it is also a anime series.
This series follows Ken and Ryu as they travell the world. The reason the are travelling is that in the beginning they were a gang which was broken up by Giu (I thnk this is how it is spelt. The one I'm talking abotu is the millatary dude from the game), who tells them that they are good but can become stronger, so they travel. When they travel to china they meet chung lee and Ryu starts to learn about the Hado. Hado is the life energy of the universe which Ryu and Ken learn to tap into.
At the end they all fight and the fihgt between Ryu, Ken, and Bison at the end is ...... I can't describe it.

I don't really like fighting animes but this one it brilliant it really pays homage to the game and the story line is exellent. I hope you enjoyed the review.

This week I'm going t o be doing a review on Chrono Crusade. Yes I know someone else has done somehting on this board about it but it is an anime so I must review it.
The roaring twenties was an age of gold and prosperity. A time where great evil still walked the land, hidden in the shadows of the night and the dark recesses of man’s heart. The spring after the last war, people hungered for unheard of prosperity and riches. But that which moves man moves other, more evil things.

Fear not, for the Magdalene Order seeks out these evil thrill seekers putting an end to their belligerence and greed. Most skilled at this art, Sister Rosette and her contract bound assistant Chrono (the demon) exorcise and dispose of these monsters. Leaving nothing wrecked cars and destroyed building in their wake.

Chrono is a demon who has lost most of his power and the only way he can transform into his true demon form is to draw on the life force of his contacter.
Now they are optu to save the Aposals (people who power comes straight from god) and rosettes brother Joshua who has been lead astray by the power of Chronos brother.

This is a brilliant series and I've only got the first one.
