Description: A Suggestion?

Greetings,
Although I have been in the region of Canada for a short time, as I have other nations in the Nation States World, in other regions, many systems are in-place and are different in each region.
Since I notice that we have ministers, and a Senate (for former politicans lol like IRL) hahah
Perhaps we could start a House of Commons?
The region of 10000 Islands have introudced the idea of political parties, in which I am the founder of the most sucessful one:
http://uda.proboards27.com (The Assembly of Conservative-Based Nations Party)
It is just a thought,
Truly,

I think that is a great, and interesting idea. But I don't think we have enough active nations in the region to do that. I'll bring it up to cabinet though.

Well, if we get enough of these new nations to get involved, we shoudl be easily able to start forming political parties and the works.

The region of Sultane Gol has done a good job of starting up parties, and they only have 80 members.

Cool idea. Do we want parties like RL (Liberal, Conservative, NDP etc) or new ones?

Certainly sounds interesting. I've no idea - I guess that parties will emerge of their own accord if this goes ahead based upon similar ideals etc. :D

Ireland, with only 70 nations or so, has its own party system. i don't see why we couldn't slowly establish one here.

Alright then, lets see how this goes.
I encourage everyone to continue to post suggestions here. :)

One idea might be to start a "House of Commons" area, and allow Canadians to propose parties. Elected officials or candidates could choose to join a party based on its principles, or could choose to remain independent. The parteis could be based on real life ones, or could be based on silly things "Canadian Beer Lovers Party" or on Nationalisic themes. Personally, If I were to start a party, it would be along the lines of the "Canadian Sovereignty Party", whicih would favour a minimalist UN, and a foreign policy based on maintaining control over Canada's Destiny through not entering into any specific alliances.
I'm sure others have ideas for their own parties.

I kinda want multi-party membership now. The Canadian Beer Party would be too cool. On the other hand, a more serious party would be The Ethical Hedonism Party.... Decisions, decisions.

They have a Beer Lovers Party in Poland, which is just awesomely cool. A version here would have to campaign for purity of Timbits (fresh, not frozen, dammit!)
Would also be interested in a Green Party. For: the environment, and Tom Green.
