Please accept this as Carbanousa’s application for the position Minster of Defence.
According the Canadian Constitution, the Minister of Defence’s remit is:

The Minister of Defence shall be responsible for readying Canada’s nations for military roles, whether it be in defence of the Region, or in a military or occupational struggle in other regions. The Minister of Defence shall be the director of the Dogs of War Alliance, and shall at all times be a member of good standing to the Dogs of War Alliance. The Minister of Defence shall be responsible for amassing foreign military and civilian intelligence. The Minister of Defence shall recommend military actions. Such actions shall be adopted by Canada upon approval of cabinet.

In light of recent developments, it should be added that the Minister of Defence shall also co-ordinate the Canadian Intelligence Agency, communicating relevant intelligence to the Minister of Foreign and Internal Affairs, or Prime Minister/Delegate as appropriate.

My ongoing vision can be presented in a 6 point action plan and these are not, intentionally, listed in any order of priority:

1) To work with the Minister and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Regional Affairs in a proactive approach for conducting National and International Relations and acquisition of Intelligence;

2) Develop the existing Intelligence network to provide information on specific Regions and to liase with either the Minister of Foreign and/or Regional Affairs regarding such information before submission to Cabinet, Prime Minister, or Delegate;

3) Attend to the development of the Canadian Defence Force (the CDF). The CDF would be primarily used for Regional Defence but if required, a proportional percentage may be used for peace-keeping missions with known and proven allied Regions;

4) To nurture a constructive dialogue at all times, in the Cabinet, with particular emphasis on the Minister of Foreign and Regional Affairs regarding Regional Security;

5) To uphold, within the grounds of 'beyond all doubt for Regional security', the constitution of Canada;

6) To consolidate Canada's commitment to democracy, and mediatory position within the UN. This will be undertaken in conjunction with the Minister of Foreign Affairs' agenda, but not failing to recognise that Canada also possesses the right to bear arms in Regional Defence

It would also like to be added that the Canadian Intelligence Agency has been established and is now in operation. There are still areas for improvement and, if successful, l would continue the development that has proven to be an invaluable asset.

The Dogs of War Alliance will be given equal attention to establish, maintain, and develop a cohesive Defence force for the Region of Canada against known, potential, and new threats.

The most recent and relevant experience gained was during my time spent working for the West Pacific's Intelligence Agency as a both a field operative and analysist. Naturally, I am bound to confidentiality as to my activities whilst within the West Pacific but can say, unequivocally, that there was nothing involving either Canada, her allies, affiliated Regions, or those with which Canada has or is having dealings with.

Moreover, I would point your attention to my unseen involvement in the England, Northern Ireland, and UK situation where pertinent information was both collected and acted upon to aid the resolution of the situation. At no point was Canada's neutrality jeopardised, nor the relationship, either diplomatically or otherwise, betwen our two Regions. By working closely with the then current Delegate/PM the situation was stabalised without the taking of undue risks. This incident furthered the ties between out two Regions and this can only be beneficial to Canada.

The current situation with the South Pacific is an area in which I would like to add more detail but am bound by certain clauses and am therefore nable to do so. I would like to stress that I am working closely with both the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the current PM/Delegate to resolve this situation as peacefully as possible. It is hoped that both our Regions will be able to learn from this incident and reconstruct what was once a strong, interdependent relationship whereby all Nations in our Regions will be able to co-exist without uncessary and un-needed tensions.

With regard to the South Pacific, the current situation has reached it's conclusion, largely due to the cooperative approach by both our governments throughout. We are awaiting validation of what we are 99% certain is the individual known as New CanAmerica.

As a regular attendee on these boards as well as NS, I will be able to dedicate the time and effort required to fulfil this position. Please do not hesitate to post any questions or comments that you may have and they will be answered as honestly and completely as is able.

I believe my achievements thus far speak for themselves and ask the Nations of Canada to be not only aware of the importance of Regional defence, but to also take an active part in the preservation of our community borne from mutual ideals and care of our homeland.
