Office Space absolutely *killed* me.

And well, if truth be told about funniest movies, I am really easy when it comes to laughing. Shrek and Toy Story are genious, especially with the music bits in there.

I omitted Borat, and I cried all the way through that one. It is the *best* worst movie in the world. I purposefully went when it first came out and tried to avoid ALL talk about it. It is awful and stupendous. And painfully funny.

Hamsters - March 24, 2007 03:31 PM (GMT)
1. Favorite movie genre: Comedies,Drama

2. Three funniest movies of all time: Borat, Kenny (Aussie movie that was apparently a hit at the Toronto Film Festival, or so it was reported here), This Is Spinal Tap.

3. Three best animated movies of all time: For animation I'd say Cars, for story & script I'd say Toy Story, for all round geniusity I'd say Spirited Away.

4. Favorite movie snack? Lollies.

5. Theater or home? Theatre. Cos I never get out to go to one.

Huge Miyazaki fan, me. Luckily for me, it's something most of my family enjoys as well.
Might as well enjoy it, because in my house, they're gonna hafta see it anyway.

I've heard of Kenny, but haven't seen it. What's the story?

Hamsters - March 24, 2007 03:48 PM (GMT)
Well 'Kenny' is a specialist in portaloos. It's filmed documentary-style, but what makes it great is his natural charm, his one-liners that have become part of the Australian lexicon ('There's a smell in here that'll outlast religion' 'I'm busier than a one-armed bricklayer in Baghdad') & the fact that it's such a feel-good movie as well as so hilarious. (and it's surprisingly not as gross as you'd think, given the subject matter)

j delight - March 26, 2007 01:46 AM (GMT)
*puts on to-see list*

Just saw The Last Mimzy and just because I enjoy Lewis Carroll AND Pink Floyd, I loved this little sci-fi feature.

For those who must know more... go here!

If you are into cult, off the beaten path and/or pop culture flicks, you might enjoy some of this guy's reviews and picks.

j delight - May 18, 2007 04:49 PM (GMT)
Anyone else see Death of a President?

I did last night, but will reserve comment for later.

j delight - May 19, 2007 12:54 AM (GMT)
I'm making plans for POTC3... even if I am a ninja lover by nature. :ph43r:

Rock-Onia - May 19, 2007 12:58 AM (GMT)
I'm going to see it with my friends for my birthday sometime in June, after we finish final exams.

j delight - May 19, 2007 01:00 AM (GMT)
That sounds too fun!

I wonder if they're going to make another Master and Commander movie? It's a natural series based on the books. Love 'em!

Rock-Onia - May 19, 2007 01:03 AM (GMT)
They're making the game FarCry into a full-length movie. Now, keep in mind, the setting of the game was tropical. The director is some German guy, and he's already begun filming... in Canada. Because hey, nothin' says "palm trees and beaches" like a Vancouver frost.

j delight - May 19, 2007 01:08 AM (GMT)
Well, we'd buy it in America anyway.

Rock-Onia - May 19, 2007 04:36 PM (GMT)
What's that supposed to mean?

j delight - May 19, 2007 06:26 PM (GMT)
Americans are not picky when it comes to historical accuracy, as long as the plot is decent and the action fast-paced.

E.g. Braveheart with kilts in the wrong era.

Rock-Onia - May 20, 2007 02:45 AM (GMT)
Oh. For a minute, I thought you were insulting Ameri- HEY!!!

j delight - May 20, 2007 04:17 AM (GMT)
Not insulting, the box office doesn't lie.

(and notice i said WE americans  )

Rock-Onia - May 20, 2007 10:12 PM (GMT)
I did not see any "we"!!!

So, as a way of apologizing, :fonz: +5.

j delight - May 21, 2007 03:12 AM (GMT)

For realism, Master and Commander FTW. (except for the MOB scene they did a great job)

Rock-Onia - May 21, 2007 05:10 PM (GMT)
For overall Crazy-Go-Nuts action, Pirates Of The Carribean series all the way!!

Rock-Onia - May 23, 2007 03:12 AM (GMT)

For spoofs, Spaceballs or Robin Hood:Men In Tights?

Redundancies - May 23, 2007 12:44 PM (GMT)
Oh, Spaceballs without question.

This has nothing to do with me being an SF fan. Really.

j delight - May 23, 2007 02:52 PM (GMT)
Spaceballs in that case.

< also "not" a SF fan
