Title: Five Random Things II
Description: the dream lives on

j delight - November 20, 2006 05:15 AM (GMT)
1. I need to sneak out of the house to do work tonight.

2. I'm hoping to have a house-full for Thanksgiving.

3. I found my magnetic hippo!

4. Wish I had a gelatto.

5. Hamster's avi rocks!

king_girl - November 20, 2006 06:15 PM (GMT)
I love this thread.
My throat hurts.
I want my fairy god mother to come and make me some really yummy, no calorie, very chewy, oatmeal and raisin cookies.
I don't have a fairy god mother.
If I could choose a lipstick right now it would be a very glossy, sparkling, soft pink.

Jack_Tarr - November 20, 2006 07:17 PM (GMT)
I only wear lipstick on Halloween.

I have been making some production tools for my niece's business.

I wonder where Hamsters has been.

Day old re-heated pizza is often better than fresh.

LandS shocked the conciousness out of me.

*wonders if that would be a faint or a swoon*

*loves Extra's peppermint gum*

*is surprised that JT wears lipstick at any time of the year*

*is all p.o.'d that some people can be so mean spirited and whack in a bad way*
(Not talking about anyone here. *thinks about it* Nope! No one here! :P )

*watches too much CNN*

Parrrrtay - November 20, 2006 08:16 PM (GMT)
I seen Hampsters here this morning
I'm cranky today
I wish I was snuggled in bed with my flannel jammies on
The door fell off the big truck at work
The sun is shinning today

Rock-Onia - November 20, 2006 11:07 PM (GMT)
If you poke me, I punch you in the face.

I love playing Call of Duty: Finest Hour for Gamecube.

I like The Rembrandts. (If anyone objects, see my reaction to poking me. It's similar. ;) )

I once smashed my kneecap into a stage. (long story, PM me if you want to hear it. :D )

And,

I play a crapped out Peavy Raptor Plus guitar that's missing a string and is horribly out of tune, and there's nothing I can do about it ^_^ ... ...

Hamsters - November 21, 2006 02:06 PM (GMT)
Mostly when I'm at work I can't do anything more than lurk... B)

My 2 year old has started playing PS2 :ph43r:

Will Continuation ever be continued?

I felt like fainting about 3 times today

I have a girl-crush :P

Jack_Tarr - November 21, 2006 06:05 PM (GMT)
I just googled "girl-crush to no avail
They scrambled my satellite reception last night but I already have it fixed
I can't find a 50' DB9 null modem cable for less than $100
I really need to stop eating cheese doodles
Trickle trickle is one of my favorite old rock and roll songs

Here's some more.

I've been taking French classes for two years (this is my third), and I'm still no closer to understanding the language.

I too, have a girl-crush, but I'm NOT a lesbian. ;)

I am a character in a comic strip my best friend is drawing called "Harry Pot-Head and The Sorceror's Stoned". It's very funny.

I just drank a can of diet root beer (which doesn't taste all that great), and now I've gotta pee. :D

My favorite philosophy on life by me: "Shove this, I'ma go play video games!!" :P

Thank you. :ph43r:

I have to say that I am surprised JT doesn't wear it nearly everyday. Where's all the kissing action?
Based on the definition that Hamsters gave I have loads of girl-crushes.
I really, really, really look forward to eating turkey, stuffing, and pies.
I want my cough to go away, but not by dying or anything.
Can anyone tell I am a little loopy?

Jack_Tarr - November 22, 2006 07:04 PM (GMT)
A huge flock of wild turkeys walked through my back yard earlier.
Dan Fogelberg has cancer. :-(

I want a sqwerl.
I also want a dog, but I probably won't get one until we are in another house.
The TV has some pretty rubbish stuff on at the moment, I don't know how Ellen can watch T4.
Fridge has little food and I have little energy.
The nearest shop is closed as the onwer is on holiday :(

Hamsters - November 25, 2006 02:52 PM (GMT)
I am so glad the little Hamster ate something today.

Ray Romano has an annoying voice. He sounds like he has a bad cold.

I need to buy new sandals tomorrow to replace the pair that broke the other morning.

I forgot to ring Sarah to find out what the flat was like.

All the dog owners in the local park are neurotic.

Yeah. That's actually gonna be the name of a band I'm looking to start. I thought of it myself. :D

Unfortunatly, I am without a bass player (required) and a rythmn guitarist (not required, but a good idea to have). :(

But, if I can ever get it off the ground, The Beached Wales will be a cover band that plays a few original songs. We'd record at a studio my best friend's (he's also the drummer) dad co-owns. My friend is also the drummer in his band Molotov Monday, but this will be like a side project. Hopefully, though, since I have NS Canada's blessing of not crappiness, a bass player will emerge somewhere close to Rhode Island. :)

To me, they seem pretty emo. Not punk rock AT ALL!!!

Redundancies - December 1, 2006 01:21 PM (GMT)
I think the problem is that there are so many genres and subgenres of music these days that artists fit into several different categories. In fact Wikipedia states that MCR has been described variously by the media as "emo", "indie", "pop punk", "post-hardcore" and "punk revival". To me, it's all just music; I listen to what I enjoy and don't worry about what genre it fits into...

Yes, indeed. But I still like coming up with and finding new strange genre names. A lot of the artists that come on our show Live@Lunch have fun with labeling. My faves so far:

Post Industrial Funk Ska (12 Cents for Marvin)
Homegrown Crabgrass (Horsetooth Mountain Rangers)
Wiggy Wildgrrl Acoustic (Julie Lloyd)
Afrossippi Blues (African Wind)
Funkajazzadelica (forget his name, but it fit!)
Harcore Acoustic (Maxwell Hughes - he's on the lines of Tommy Emmanuel and Kaki King)

And my new fave genre - Gypsy Punk (Gogol Bordello) The insanity of it must be assumed.

Actually no, but I have very fond memories of visiting my grandparents in Newstead when I was growing up. And of Cataract Gorge, the architecture and laughing at the monkeys in the park!

South Auckland is a hole.

The Christmas tree looks nice, if a little lopsided.

I still get teary watching the episode of Kimba the White Lion where his mother
dies.

Today I met a very, very nice man from Vancouver.
