Written by: 420_CelebrantsHAPPY VALENTINES DAY!! - Cabinet would like to take this time to ask each and every one of you lovely people if you will be our Valentines. We will be totally crushed if you deny us … so please … let the love-in begin.
Embassy Opening - Cabinet agreed that Liberalia was a nice region and that we should exchange diplomatic relations. An embassy forum has been created and can be found
here.Cabinet and Regional Votes-
Amending Formula – Cabinet unanimously voted to open this Constitutional Amendment to the region for voting. Regional members passed this Amendment with 12 in favour and 3 against.
-
Deputy Minister VoC – Cabinet wasn’t too impressed with the way the Deputy VoC Amendment was worded, so Judith Gap offered a new wording which appeased Cabinet. They then voted to open the vote to regional members, who voted to pass the Amendment with a final tally of 17 for and 2 against.
Department of Immigration- As noted in the last Cabinet Report, Cabinet had planned on asking the region what they felt about a Welcoming Committee of sorts and whether they felt it worked better as a committee or a new Ministry position. The region voiced their opinions, with the majority supporting a Committee. Cabinet went back to work on this item and is currently hashing out details so that we can move forward on this item and implement it.
Forum Changes Afoot?- Cabinet has been discussing the feasibility of cleaning up the UN forums and making them into one, as well as the merging of the Citizen’s Voice and House of Commons forums. The former is to make things simpler, whereas the latter would allow Cabinet to use the new forum as a space to let the region see what Cabinet is doing by mirroring threads from the Cabinet forum.. You can read more about these items in the Prime Minister’s forum, or by simply following
this link for the UN forums discussion and
this link for the HoC/CV forum discussion.Other Items- More random house cleaning jobs were brought up and the appropriate Cabinet member fixed them. Yup … really … MORE.
- Judith Gap noted that Cabinet now has the power to fix typographical errors in the Constitution. He then noted errors that needed to be fixed. Cabinet listened attentively and then put an apple on JG’s desk. Oh ... and fixed the errors too!
- A nation spoke to Carbanousa about the possibility of banning another member due to their chosen name. Cabinet declared that the members name was not in violation of any rules and that the request would not be dealt with.
- 420_Celebrants wondered about making some new post count icons and pips thanks to multiple members post counts rapidly rising. Cabinet agreed that people post a lot, but have yet to agree to any new visuals.
