Title: Embassy Gala
Description: Welcome to Canada!

Judith Gap - January 26, 2006 03:40 PM (GMT)
Even as we continue to celebrate one embassy opening, we begin to celebrate a new embassy opening with our friends in Europa. I've had the privilege of working with members from Europa on the ambassador protocol's conference in Q102. It is now also my privilege to introduce the rest of Canada to the wonderful people I've met in Europa.

TinyVillages - January 26, 2006 04:39 PM (GMT)
Welcome to the great region of Canada, esteemed friends from Europa.

Please fill yourselves from any of the find foods we've prepared. Waiters and waitresses will be at your beck and call for whatever you wish, or there are tables set up in a formal dining room.

Sensational Stuffed Mushrooms
Marinated, flame-broiled mushrooms filled with Gorgonzola cheese

Maine Crab
Maine crab cakes with beurre blanc, garnished with lime

Chocolate Hazelnut Tort
Served with chai whipped cream and fresh berries.

Warm Spinach Dip
Zesty dip served with pita triangles.

Euro Baguette
Pesto, Kalamata olives, fresh basil, tomato, cucumber and Brie cheese layered on crusty French bread.

Excellent. The baguette is too tempting, even though I'm in class for the next 3 hours.

420_Celebrants - January 26, 2006 05:46 PM (GMT)
Hey hey all ... welcome to the party.

*throws his 500 song CD into the player*

Thanks for bringing the grub TV.

*opens the cases of beer, bacardi, pop, juice and WiLD UP (all flavours, including the newest - THC)*

Welcome new friends. I hope you enjoy the celebration and good relations continue for a long time.

Okay - who's going to brave setting off the fountain?

Judith Gap - January 26, 2006 07:16 PM (GMT)
That's how I got electrocuted last time.

TinyVillages - January 26, 2006 07:34 PM (GMT)
But the uncontrollable twitching is hardly noticeable anymore, JG.

420_Celebrants - January 26, 2006 07:43 PM (GMT)
However ... the smell is a different story.

TinyVillages - January 26, 2006 11:18 PM (GMT)
We promised JG not to talk about it in public.

*munches on some chips with spinach dip*

So, is anyone from Europa going to show up? If not, can I have their stapler?

Judith Gap - January 26, 2006 11:35 PM (GMT)
in an imitation of someone else. "Put that stapler down Mister." Europa will surely be here today or tomorrow. Europa also said that you should wait.

Thanks Mr. Beckett.

I knew there was an invitation or two I forgot to send!

Scipii - January 27, 2006 12:33 AM (GMT)
Sorry I’m late Ladies and Gentlemen. You will have to excuse my attire however; I’m on operations with TEA at the mo.

Checkers McDog - January 27, 2006 01:05 AM (GMT)

Trust me, Chex, it's worth it; I second Carb completely.

LaS, you look like you're just waiting for an offer to dance...

420_Celebrants - January 27, 2006 08:03 AM (GMT)
I always love seeing NewTexas post in embassy openings and such ... he always brings such lovely food that makes my mouth water and urges me to get to Texas to be able to eat these food items.

Judith Gap - January 27, 2006 12:11 PM (GMT)
RL & OL Texas are both worlds of their own. I always enjoy going to both places too.

KG, you look as scintillatingly beautiful as ever.

BTW, got any butternut syrup in there?

king_girl - January 27, 2006 04:09 PM (GMT)
Would I forget the butternut? Never!

*makes a plate for myself and TV*

Here you go, baby. You might want to eat before the party gets out of control.

Europa...Welcome. I hope you enjoy being a part of the embassy!

The mushrooms are fabulous! The crab ... er coming form a landlocked country ... maybe not my favorite.
