I don't know about anyone else, but I think this forum could use a new header. The one I made last year isn't my best work and it mocks me every time I view it.

I've made up a few alternatives for your consideration. Perhaps others could submit their designs and we could decide collectively what looks the best. Or not.

Thanks very much Blackshear for taking the time to create a new region logo. I also like the first one. But it is nice to see what an updated version of the current logo would look like.

On first impression I have to say I like #2.

I like the first option, beyond that the last one is good too. The A's are still a little hard to recognize as A's.

Blackshear, take a look at the leaf edges on number 2. I think in time you'd be unhappy with that.

I'll be unhappy with all of them in about 2 days. :P I do see what you mean about the jaggies, though.

My preference is #1 (probably why I posted it first).

As a side note, everything from the colours to the fonts to the images can be tweaked or changed completely without much difficulty, so if you have any suggestions on improving them, let me know and I'll see what I can do. Same thing if you have an original concept but lack a suitable graphics program.

I like number two, but maybe make the maple leaf blue :rolleyes:

Blackshear I have a suggestion, if you are willing to take the time. I think your "resident of Canada" sig could make a good forum logo. If you matched the shade of red to the forum's colors. Just a thought...

However, I don't think the leafs work on the dark red. Perhaps you could change the sweep so that all the leafs are on the lighter background.

You might be right, you do get the same affect around the edges of the leafs. Sorry, hope it wasn't too much work. Thanks very much for putting in the effort to update our logo. That is very nice of you.

No way, I really like that the way it is. The leafs are just a background thing, the thing you want to see is the CANADA part :P

I really do like that, though. Its quite pretty, and it sticks out!
