Description: Collecting our comments

Almonaster - July 12, 2005 10:45 PM (GMT)
I will be helping out with the regional reports by picking out 2 or 3 quotable remarks each week.

I've started this thread as a collecting point. If any of you spot a quote you like, please post it here. Feel free to self-refer if you've come up with a particularly pithy turn of phrase.

there's a strong smell of acetone in here. That will disolve super glue but if its any concelation, those boys are gonna have some mighty sore rashes for a week or so.

They'll probably beat the crap out of Red for it too.

Thanks JG -- I was just about to put that there! :D

I think you have a severe case of Ofitis and you should probably seek professional help.

Judith Gap - July 15, 2005 06:35 PM (GMT)
Either quote would be nice.

QUOTE (Daemon @ Jul 15 2005, 12:27 PM)
I am euphonically fickle.

I like both Al's (/Esses) and HB's suggestions. Al's has classical charm, while HB's has a certain touch of pretension that I find enticing.

Almonaster - July 16, 2005 04:48 PM (GMT)
My selection for this week's report...

Freezing Cold Water - July 16, 2005 06:11 PM (GMT)
Thanks, Al. I will add them to the ambassdors report.

Judith Gap - July 16, 2005 06:32 PM (GMT)
These are some funny quotes. I'm glad you had to make the tough choices Al!

Almonaster - July 16, 2005 07:36 PM (GMT)
As you say, tough choice. I liked them all.

I reckoned things like OFitis would have been incomprehensible to the point of unfunny if you didn't know who OF was.

Judith Gap - July 16, 2005 08:18 PM (GMT)
I missed this. Maybe next time?

QUOTE (Defectiveness @ Jul 15 2005, 04:14 PM)

(and I realize this is kind of pointless... but after that five page thread about boogers, I don't feel badly for it)

It's just crazy enough to cause people to try to find out more.

QUOTE (Oilers Fans @ Jul 18 2005, 11:19 AM)
Pants.

I could have just said any word there. Any word at all. And nobody'll ever know. I could have just given the meaning of life, but it was covered up by pants. It boggles the mind.

It's never too early to become a hobo. The rails of North America are the perfect place for a man on the run.

QUOTE (Deamon again)
You think you've got it bad! I have a big hive of rhinoceros somewhere in my Japanese maple tree. They always pick at my food whenever I eat outside, so I have to shoo them away. I tried leaving out rhino traps for them, and spraying their nest with Raid Rhino, but they are still there.

QUOTE (j delight @ Jul 19 2005, 08:57 PM)
OK, who's been in the rhetorical laxative ale again?

Almonaster - July 20, 2005 02:04 AM (GMT)
Sold to the gentleman in the previous post!

Judith Gap - July 20, 2005 02:06 AM (GMT)
That really should be my signature at work. I'm a professor of Rhetoric and Composition.

Almonaster - July 20, 2005 02:13 AM (GMT)
Perhaps we should entertain a motion to dismiss?

Judith Gap - July 20, 2005 02:15 AM (GMT)
I'm not sure which maiden you mean to dismiss.

You talkin about dis miss?

JG - perfect, man. And to think it all started with miss takin' a chamber pot.

Judith Gap - July 20, 2005 02:22 AM (GMT)
I'm not comfortable with thinking about what comes from a chamber pot.

Almonaster - July 20, 2005 02:28 AM (GMT)
That's a crock - you just need to get your thoughts in ordure.

j delight - July 20, 2005 02:29 AM (GMT)
So do you think that JG is not bothered at all by what goes into a chamber pot?

Almonaster - July 20, 2005 02:35 AM (GMT)
Perhaps he's found some fertile soil for an exercise in alimentary logic.

j delight - July 20, 2005 02:36 AM (GMT)
You're such a swill guy, Al.

Judith Gap - July 20, 2005 02:37 AM (GMT)
I'd rather not think about. Besides it wasn't mine. I don't have to think about how it got in there.
