Title: Hello, Canada!
Description: Introduction
Rube - June 7, 2005 03:48 PM (GMT)
Howdy, y'all from Rhubarblandia.
Heard this here Canada's the place fer' fun, workin' folk like us.
It's a land of hard-working farmers, ain't sittin' by like dryin' cow pies. Sure is quiet, and mighty purty. And we grows rhubarb--lots of it: tall 'n firm.
C'mon over and try a piece.

Ma'am, I do believe it will. One long taste, and the world seems to disappear.
Rhubarb pie enough for everyone under the sky--sun, sky and stars.
Ess - June 7, 2005 04:33 PM (GMT)
Welcome to Canada, Rube! :)
Tweedy - June 7, 2005 05:38 PM (GMT)
Hello Rube, I've not had rhubarb for years. I used to eat it most days when I was really young. Strange that...must try it again one day!
Rube - June 7, 2005 06:02 PM (GMT)
You definitely should try some.
I'm only holding one piece, and it's promised, but I can have some delivered to you.
TinyVillages - June 7, 2005 07:19 PM (GMT)
Well, thank you all. I see Rube did a fine job of getting my nation started here.
Looking forward to all the fun,
TV

I'm partial to a Rhubarb-Meringue Pie, myself. I think that I might try making one this weekend if I can find some good Rhubarb.
Wootack!

TinyVillages - June 8, 2005 11:32 PM (GMT)
Confused, Ess?
Rube was the ambassador, we'll say. He sets things up, gets a place in town, and then goes back to the fields.
So, I am TinyVillages, or TV, some call me to save on typing.
Thanks to everyone for a warm welcome.
*suddenly ducks and leaves, as though someone were in the shadows, waiting...*

I cleared up the confusion?
That's a first. Hm, feels strange, but good. :P
Ess - June 9, 2005 02:35 AM (GMT)
So, if Rube's gone back to the fields does that mean that he/she's not going to be here anymore?
Gee - not entirely cleared up, yet. Sorry! :P
TinyVillages - June 9, 2005 12:49 PM (GMT)
That's up to Rube, but it's not very likely. Not likely at all.
It takes a close personal attention to keep rhubarb tall and firm.
That's what we do best. Want to try some rhubarb-strawberry pie?

Yes, please! ^_^
One more thing: what does your sig translate to?
That's it! Thanks! :D
TinyVillages - June 9, 2005 05:16 PM (GMT)
LOL
You're the first person to ask me that. I grew up where it's humid but live where it's dry. You've heard the debates?
"It's not the heat it's the humidity." In Latin. :P It's a sign of being InSaNe.
Ess - June 9, 2005 05:28 PM (GMT)
But it is the humidity! :P
I live in Vancouver and can't stand the humidity, but it's even worse back east!
blech!
Parrrrtay - June 9, 2005 05:31 PM (GMT)
Tell me about it I woke up to 85% humidity.
That's just CrAzY!
....down to 49% now.
