Title: I am conservative

clamparapa - December 19, 2004 04:02 AM (GMT)
I am a conservative nation. I know it is a surprise but it is true. Is there anyone out there who can introduce me to the region and tell me what issues I need to know to now about?

Oilers Fans - December 19, 2004 04:23 AM (GMT)
Another conservative?
I'm probaly not the best person to introduce you to the region though.

Almonaster - December 19, 2004 04:28 AM (GMT)
Well, we're poles apart on politics, but let me be the first (EDIT second - damn your eyes OF) to welcome you to Canada. :Canada:

Issues vary with the day of the week and which pair of shoes Chex happens to be wearing, so just take us as it comes. Elections are upcoming, so you might want to check the campaign threads for activity over the next couple of weeks. There's also a beginners guide pinned in "Standing around the water cooler" which might help.

I am not really a conservative but welcome to Canada anyways!! Please enjoy your stay here!!! :) :Canada:

DrunkenHosers - December 19, 2004 05:15 AM (GMT)
This region seems to be mostly small-"l" liberal, but there is a small-"c" conservative faction here. I consider myself a centrist. I like to cherry-pick the best ideas from all sources.

We have a newly formed Conservative Party, which aims more towards the former PCs than the Reform/Alliance policies. If you don't like them, you can start your own party, or just push your own agenda as an independent. Party membership is purely voluntary, and doesn't affect your rights to participate in any way.

As far as issues go, Almonaster mentioned that there is an election campaign underway. The Campaign Trail section of the forum is where you want to go for that. Also, there is a UN resolution under debate. That's in the Current UN Poll forum, under The Ballot Box.

Legal in Nunavut, NWT, BC, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Quebec, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, and California.

But beware, if you take it in Texas, that's punishable by death.

kana da - December 20, 2004 10:49 PM (GMT)
I think you've been taking it illegally. :P

...just like everything else.

Hmm. I was hoping Ohio would be the state that insane root was legal in. But then I remember, they don't make ANYTHING legal here...

Defectiveness - December 27, 2004 05:22 AM (GMT)
Well, I suppose I should say "hello". I'm a conservative, but I'm brand new to the region, so I'm afraid you'll have to show me around!

kana da - December 27, 2004 12:28 PM (GMT)

Don't forget MrPopo KD. There's currently a race for the 'Regional Crazy' and both candidates are equally deserving of the title. Maybe we should open a new thread within the election campaign for this..?

kana da - December 27, 2004 05:59 PM (GMT)
I'd put the thread in the Water Cooler, being as the race isn't official or anything.

Oh, yes, and here's my new campaign slogan.

"It takes no creativity to take your clothes off. Vote Kana Da for creative insanity."

Ess - December 27, 2004 06:54 PM (GMT)
^ forcing MrP to push the envelope ever further...

kana da - December 27, 2004 07:21 PM (GMT)
I'm just forcing him to get creative.

Carbanousa - December 27, 2004 10:01 PM (GMT)
Thus it begins...

MrPopo - December 28, 2004 06:07 AM (GMT)
wait, she doesnt want to tempt the creativity of the guy who used to use spare citizens to test the effects of aromatherapy warfare, and lace his citizens drinking water with LSD...."just to see" now do you!

I'm one step ahead of you. I'm not just crazy. I'm crazy evil!

Defectiveness - December 28, 2004 09:37 AM (GMT)
The essence of pure flavor... just regular old water, laced with LSD. [/futurama refence]

kana da - December 28, 2004 05:53 PM (GMT)
Time for some scandal methinks

MrPopo's true identity: that crazed girl from home ec. who took her pants off.

Redundancies - December 28, 2004 06:03 PM (GMT)
No wonder she did that!

But wait--does that mean it's actually MsPopo and that Chex is being hit on by a girl?

kana da - December 29, 2004 03:26 AM (GMT)
Wouldn't put it past her.

Defectiveness - December 29, 2004 03:59 AM (GMT)
Wow. To be in your guys' school!

kana da - December 29, 2004 04:04 AM (GMT)
You have no idea. *sighs*

MrPopo - December 29, 2004 06:00 AM (GMT)
"My milkshake brings all the girls to the yard...." B)

Carbanousa - December 29, 2004 04:47 PM (GMT)
