There is a terrorist organization in C-Ton that has formed and has begun terrorist attacks on the non-religious people in our region. The organization goes by the name of The Foundation.

Foundation members have mass plans for carrying out large scale terrorist acts. But they have a code that we are warning you about. Every Foundation martyr has a cyanide tablet that they will take instead of exploding themselves or carrying out the terrorist act if your people know this single piece of information.

They will ask in Arabic if you believe in one god. If no one runs and agrees that they believe in one god, they will ask if you will pray to him 5 times a day. If everyone agrees and no one does any harsh actions, then the terrorists will take the cyanide tablet and lives will be saved.

The purpose is to show people how close to death they have come and to show them that they are alive today because God has saved them.

We are doing everything we can to stop this organization on the inside and to stop it from gaining support in other countries.

All terrorist plans are found when the foundation members commit suicide and we see the countless other lives that are saved.

An example was a hijacking. We found plans to crash a passenger plane into a Nuclear power station on the boarder of C-Ton and Owenisgod. Because these plans are left on the plane, we were able to tell all the people who would have died that they were saved. This gives the martyr's death more power, because the lives were all impacted and left alive to deal with the impact.

Many of these people that were left alive have joined up with The Foundation.

But our belief in God is that he has many names. And that Religion was meant to take the truth from all other religions, therefore the truth is a combination of all truths.

A logical debate will occur worldwide to filter the truth from religion and all cultures have the right to work to prove and disprove truth.

Gemetria suggests that C-Ton quickly eliminates this terrorist threat. We are more than happy to instruct your troops in Gemetria's methods of counter-terrorism.

OOC: Gemetria is an extremely xenophobic society. Foreigners are treated with suspicion, and are only admitted to the country for business reasons. Even if admitted, there are certain areas that are off-limits to visitors. Security is omnipresent. Citizens are bar-coded with a complex pattern of nano-tubules that are grow in their palm, and every citizen and bondsman (non-citizen worker) have their DNA, finger prints, and retina patterns on file. Terrorists would find it difficult to get into Gemetria, but even if they got in, and committed a successful attack, they would find that the uncaring citizens of Gemetria would not be swayed by terrorist attacks.

Gemetria’s population worship the state’s ancient religion, Abystrianism. The state is worshiped, as are the protective spirits of it, the daimons. Thus the Tree of Servers is worshiped almost as a god. The actual faith has long fallen out of this religion and all that is left is the rituals which are cynically but ritualistically adhered to. Massive black cathedrals with rich stained glass windows are the houses of worship. All other religions are outlawed. The state is supposedly deeply religious and dogmatic by constitution, but clearly very secular and pragmatic by action.

MrPopo will now declare publicly that they will not allow this terror organization to filtrate into our society, by any means neccessary. Such a society is deemed a prophetic vision of doom by the religious peoples, and has the vast majority of MrPopo - religious and non - very nervous. apparently there is a Foundation cell in Gemetria they want the tree of life to be re-established and all demonic cults to be scared into submission. We can do nothing of cells that spring up in other countries.

We also hear news that they are planning a massive attack overseas on september 11th.

The Emperor of C-Ton called a meeting with the leader of The Foundation last night to have a logical debate.

The leader of The Foundation could not refuse because he himself called for a worldwide logical debate.

They spoke through a secure line.



Emperor: I agree with your logical conclusion on the historical tree that something must be done in order to avoid war and the probable destruction of the planet. But I dissagree with your means. You are only supporting the soon to be "Dominating force" as you called it.

Foundation Leader: I agree with your methodology on stopping this catastrophy, but the only solution to our problem is using all possible solutions in combination. This will increase the chance that one of these solutions work.

Emperor: The Foundation will ruin the reputation of C-Ton on an international level if this attack is to be carried out on September 11th and our method will be discredited and all other methods that C-Ton attempts to come up with.

Foundation Leader: Not if our terrorists take the cyanide pill.

Emperor: Can you guarantee that this will occur?

Foundation Leader: I cannot. But you do make a valid point that we are strengthening the views of the Dominating force. But unlike them we give the option of life. Our goal is not terror, but an awakening to life.

Emperor: Perhaps putting your efforts into a film would me more effective. The media holds a large influence on public opinion.

Foundation Leader: This is a good idea, and like I said, all options must be used simultaneously. We will begin production of our film. And since I know this message will be displayed worldwide I would like to take the oportunity to answer the spokesperson of the Children of God from MR. Popo. We do not look to create servents to any one religion, but merely to awaken people. And we will use every venue possible to stop the end of the world.

Emperor: But your faction believes that the entire earth must believe in God for the world to be saved from destruction. This is a very different view than trying to stop the end of the world.

Foundation Leader: Even if we were to change our view, the Dominating force would not. The only way they will concede is if they knew the world believed in God. Therefore we are trying to avoid their threat by easing the process a little more smothly. It is only a matter of time before they get weapons of mass destruction.

Emperor: I am sorry for being so dishonourable, but we have traced your position and have you surrounded. You will stand trial in the World Court for your actions of terror. You are a good man, but I as Emperor cannot allow your actions to continue.

Foundation Leader: I will gladly stand trial. You have made me imortal. The Foundation will live on without me, and the attack on September 11th will occur without my authorisation. Thank you. The only question now is, should I take the red pill or the blue pill.

Immediately a fleet of 12 destroyers, 2 Atmos Class cruisers, and one Ortise class troop ship set sail to the coordinates. 2 Kitomac Aircraft carriers follow (situated in a fleet of destroyers and a Dreadnought), within striking distance of their 160 Shadow-Hawk Fighters, and their Windreach and Thunder missiles.

Rumors also circulate from Gemetria itself: foriegn nationals are being rounded up by the Ashanti, for "discussions". Some of them are not seen again. The Servers busily monitor the security feeds from around the country.

There will be hell to pay if Gemetria is hit.

The leader of the foundation was lawfully captured by CTon on CTon soil, himself being a CTon national. We are unsure if we have truely captured the leader of The Foundation. Even if we knew his name, this could be merely a spokesperson. The true leader may have used him for cover and may continue to act underground.

We know this is an organization that is based on martyrdom so it would make sense that a member would become a martyr in order to strengthen the organization aswell.

The leader of The Foundation that we captured will be turned over to the international court system to stand trial, although as of yet the organization has not killed any civilians.

Further to yesterdays story of a ship explosion of Vesuvius, the Defence Department has confirmed the vessel was sunk by patrol units within the BTFB Kwakiutl restricted area and the C-Ton based terrorist group “The Foundation” has claimed responsibility for hijacking it. It is still unknown where the vessel came from, images taken by patrol vessels show no markings nor flags and no transponder signals were detected.



The vessel did not respond to hails and failed to alter course when ordered to do so. An attempt to land a boarding party was met by automatic weapons fire. When additional orders to halt and warning shots were ignored, a final order was given and one minute later, the vessel was targeted for direct fire. According the the Navy, the vessel was hit in the stern by a Sting Ray torpedo fired by a Type 214 patrol submarine. Shortly afterward, the vessel experienced multiple internal explosions and quickly sank. At present, there has been no word of any survivors though naval vessels are still in the area and it is believed the wreckage is being investigated or possibly recovered.

As to the terrorist group claiming responsibility for the incursion, several other incidents have been attributed to “The Foundation” in the last two days.

Yesterday, at Wolfsport International Airport, three men were apprehended by airport security attempting to smuggle explosives into the airport. Tasers were used to incapacitate the men though one did die from cyanide poisoning. The other two are being questioned by police and there are rumors that plans in the possession of the men have led to several other arrests.

In Falkirk this morning, a suicide bomber killed himself and two innocent bystanders at Speakers Corners, the park famous as the Boreal Tundran equivalent of the area in Hyde Park, London by the same name. One of the dead, Reverend Thomas “Testify” Rae, was proselytizing when his murderer asked in Arabic if Rev Rae believed in god. Rae and another bystander immediately leapt on the terrorist, knocking him into the pond where the suicide vest was detonated. At least 34 others were seriously injured, with emergency workers stating that over 100 were treated for minor injuries. Seven, including four children are still in critical condition at this time. We now have this interview with an eyewitness, Mr. Ibrahim Hasham.

First, let’s get the sticky question out of the way, many of our viewers will assume you’re Muslim and worship in the same way as members of “The Foundation.” Is that correct Mr. Hasham?

It was just what I was raised to do and all the actions were just gestures, words and motions without meaning or purpose. So, no. I do not worship as these terrorists do and I never could have. They worship a perverted idea of Islam that even when I considered myself Muslim has no relation to the faith.

So, witnessing this attack caused you to come to this realization?

No, in fact, I’d come to the realization a few minutes earlier. As I walked around a group of children, I looked up and heard the terrorist yelling at the man on the perch and then he and another man knocked the terrorist into the pond. I realized what had been asked and I yelled “Bomb! Get Down!” and grabbed the nearest children and pushed them to the ground. When the explosion occurred, one of the children, a young girl I think, was knocked over me. I believe she was pushing other children down when it happened and because she was standing she took a lot of the force,

Happily, I can tell you there were no serious injuries to our forces, the same can not be said of the terrorists though. We have captured 8 alive though some sustained major injuries. Additionally, we have gained plans of future operations, as well as locations, targets and identities of several suicide bombers, both here and abroad. This information is being sent to the targeted countries as we speak.

Now, the information is minimal at this time however, I’ll take a few questions and try to answer them. Uhh, Brent.

Your Majesty, Brent Dersha, BTBC. Did any of the information leading to this raid come from the ship that attacked BTFB Kwakiutl and were there any survivors from that ship?

There were some survivors from the ship however, I’m not sure any of them are yet in any condition to interrogate... (An aide whispers something to Richard) Thank you Frank, apparently, one of the survivors, a crewman from the vessel, died this morning. Another crewman regained consciousness while the third is still unconscious. None of the four terrorists have regained consciousness at this time. I’m unaware if any documentation was found in the wreckage.... Next, yes Fiona.

Looking to another aide who shakes his head. At last count, there were 17 dead and the 8 captured alive, there were some explosions and some parts of the hideout collapsed so, we’re still checking for additional survivors or bodies. As to JTF involvement, this is the type of operation they were trained for so, you can draw your own conclusions there I should think. (Said with a smile and a wink.)

OK, some good news from the capital. Now, Mr. Hasham, before we get back to you I’d like to go over something that one of our researchers brought up during the break. It appears that the representative of C-Ton was correct in predicting that the actions of this terrorist group would have an effect on the religious beliefs of the citizens of Boreal Tundra. I don’t think this was the effect they were expecting however. Apparently, since the first announcement of this group’s activities and goals, there has been a marked decrease in religious observance. Polls taken in the last week show overall 25% fewer theists with the Abrahamic religions taking the biggest hit at nearly 30% fewer in numbers. Of those who’ve stated a loss, rejection or non-assent of belief, over 40% attribute it, at least partly, to the actions of these terrorists.

Mr. Hasham, what’s your take on these numbers?

Entirely unsurprising Miss Cross, many people like me only held our beliefs out of habit. Told to believe as children, we acted as though we did and carried on the tradition. When groups like this come on the scene, we see the hypocrisy of our actions and realize we don’t believe. If anything, this group will ensure it’s own destruction and will likely take with it many good, innocent people who happen to believe as well.

Hassan Tuprit - This is rediculous, the Foundation isnt even a muslim group. They are merely a logical group. Although Al Qaeda is not much better, they hold no representation on Islamic religion. Islam is pure and no foreign propaganda should influence religious beliefs.

Dr. Crawford - I happen to agree with the views of Borreal Tundra. Religion is passed on through parents brainwashing their children. But I doubt the truth of this newscast. The reality is, that most non-religious would lie and accept religion in order to escape death. Also I doubt the statistics put forth from Boreal Tundra about a drop in religious belief. Perhaps this is a backwards nation, but everywhere else in the world "The Foundation" has increased religious belief. This is clearly propaganda, but at least I agree with the reasons behind it.

Foundation Expert and political scientist Alfred Newslin - I question the fact that they have captured foundation members alive. In all cases, foundation terrorists hold the release switch to the bombs in their hands. Upon death or realease of the switch explosives are rigged to go off. Only upon a carful switch of the safety can the foundation bombpacks be disengaged. Also, foundation members take cyanide tablets. These are martyrs remember, and would never be captured alive. This leader that was captured was suprised and I have a feeling that he was purposefully captured. He is very intelligent, and must have some sort of plan for his trial in 2 days. I will watch with anticipation.

A plume of smoke billows from the Gemetria embassy in C-Ton. A vans packed with explosives tries to ram through the heavy iron gate of the black fortified compound. Whithering automatic gunfire rips through the first van just before it breaks through the gate. Explosion, flames. Windows shatter, car alarms cry. But the gates are down... Embassies are usually the territory of the owner nation. So the US embassy in Canada is technically US land.

What happened? Clear some terrorist organisation attack Gemetria. This might indicate that there are other more violent terrorists in C-ton with an anti-Gemetria agenda, or that some foriegn power is using the instability in your country to attack overseas targets. Smart thinking as Gemetria spends around 38 trillion USD on security and 85 trillion USD on defence. We would have close to a billion available persons if the draft was activated. This is extrapolated from my nation's states and the CIA world factbook on a couple of key countries.

Socrates was proud of being an honest man. He claimed that the reason that he was not a politician was because he was too honest. This would seem to be odd if he, as you claimed, believe that lies were justified if provoked. Socrates was deeply religious, and Socrates believed that lies would tarnish the soul.

As our soruces in several Canadian intelligences idnicate, is Octopolis preparing troops. No exact details could be given, and no offical Octopolisian institution was ready to comment, but this information adds up to the current tensiosn arroudn Hudson Bay.

Thirteen more victims died in hospital today bringing the confirmed death toll to 134 with 264 still hospitalized with serious injuries. Among the dead, Kristara Banes, a six year old on her first field trip of grade one. A walk through the park to listen to a concert ended in tragedy when an assassin detonated his explosive vest. Kristara died last night despite multiple attempts to stabilize her and repair the damage caused by the blast.

Further information regarding the hijacked ship states the hijackers original target was Port Arthur, apparently they were off course and headed instead towards Vesuvius. According to one of the surviving crewmen, the Captain welcomed the terrorists aboard as paying passengers. It was not apparent anything was amiss until they turned for Vesuvius at which point, the terrorists produced weapons and began rigging the cargo, ostensibly agricultural supplies, with detonators. All the survivors were on the crew deck when the torpedo hit and several crewmen overpowered their guards and leapt overboard. The 6 terrorists located in the water were all believed to have pursued the crew onto the weather deck and were knocked into the water by the subseqent explosions as they fired on the escaped crew.

This is Medical Officer Graham Schwartz, I request authorization to enter your boarders. I have with me a rescue team and a medical team, hopefully we can save some lives.

Money? Aid? This is bad comedy, Prince Popo. Gemetria has never and never will need such things from your country. This embargo will surely hurt your citizens more then it shall hurt ours. Your country seems to have a wonderful on-again-off-again relationship with international law, only referring to it when it suits you. We are also outraged at your hypocrisy and involvement in what is clearly business between the Gemetria and C-Ton people. We are withdrawing our ambassador in protest. And an assurance: we have no desire to escalate this conflict as long as you do not.

The international community will recognized that our citizens died through the impotence of the C-Ton military. Gematria, I am sure you can understand our hesitance at allowing your airplanes into our airspace. We do not know your target, and would like to deal with the matter ourselves. The target could have come from a bad source, we do not want innocent civilians to be killed.

We also would like to know how Gematria aquired such intelligence. We have far more intelligence from within our own boarders.

We currently have a nuclear satelite above Gematria and will detonate it to send an EMP field to Gematria. This as you know will knock out all electronic devices. We have also taken care at erecting solar powered flotation mines around our airspace. They use battery powered hot air to stay afloat. They can be disengaged remotely if you at least tell us your target.

We have also several remote mines at our coastline. We warn you not to enter C-Ton waters.

C-Ton is a lush nature reserve, and our development has been limited due to this fact. We warn you against attacking us.

Also, we have patrol crafts that have a programmed route around C-Ton. They are programmed to emit a warning signal if you get too close to an unauthorized area. If an aircraft gets too close to an unauthorised area, all surounding patrol crafts will hunt your aircrafts.

Our Airforce and Navy are standing by, and our groundtroops are well supported with several technological advantages that you will discover upon entering our soil.

Remember, we have developed an antiwar military. Your people will not suffer, but we have plenty of equiptment to destroy your technology.

OOC: Dude, you're god moding. You can't just say "Oh, there is now a nuclear satellite above your country" and "You now have a virus." That's not being respectful of the RPing process, and more than me saying "There are now 100 billion troops in your capital" I refuse to accept what you are saying as realities, you are suggesting that a country with a 10x more people that spends roughly 70 times more than you on their military and intelligence "didn't see this coming"? Nonsense. This isn't hop-scotch that we are talking about.

But you also do realize that you have admitted to acts of espionage and the positioning a weapon of mass destruction in another country. So basically you would give any nation complete and legal ability to go to war with you, while my country still has not comitted any crime.

As for your nuclear satelite, most of Gemetria's core computers are deep below ground (as established in previous RPs), and many others are surrounded by Faraday cages (EMP countermeasures). So not only are they physically out of the lethal radius of an EMP bomb (Golden Eye was inaccurate, EMP bombs have a fairly short "lethal" range), but it wouldn't even knock out my core systems of ONE city, even if your satelite doesn't get destroyed first by one of my orbital platforms.

As for a virus, my computer core has several security levels and has serveral firewalls and AI intrusion counter-measures. Imagine what you would have to do to infect even the outer layer!

OOC: The EMP SAT is a poor godmod unless Gemetria is on the equator. Only a geosychronous satalite could maintain it's position and it would have to be over the equator. Anywhere else and the satallite would be out of position in minutes and unlikely to be back in position for several days depending on orbit. The virus is almost as bad, suggest you check out who you're attacking (espionage is an attack) and figure if it's even possible.
